I was notified that my dog was chosen to be on the 2025 pawprint calendar. I did order a calendar at the price of $10.70 on Jan 14, 2025. I received the calendar and my dog was in the calendar. My complaint is that on Jan 14, 2025, my credit card was charged $10.70 for the calendar AND an additional charge of $ *****.I did not order or receive anything additional from this company to warrant the additional charge of $*****. I would like this charge refunded immediatelyBusiness Response

This customer ordered a calendar for $24.99 and received a promotion to add an additional calendar for $10.00.
This brought the customers total to $36.10. After factoring in shipping cost and tax the total as a whole was $46.80.
This is accurate for what was purchased. We do not sell any of our calendars for only $10.00.
The order was placed on January 14th at 5:53PM. The email confirmation was sent immediately following showing the total as $36.10. The customer received a add on offer as a promotion for purchasing which allows customer an additional item for a lower price. The customer agreed and at that time 5:55 PM $10.70 was authorized on the same payment method. The customer then received an email titled "Subject: Order #****** updated". This is an order edit email for purchasing an additional item.
The items were then fulfilled fully and correctly and shipped to the customer provided mailing address. The package was delivered 01/25/25
I have attached both emails the customer received. Both before and after adding the additional item.

Wow! I cant believe the deceit of this company. Both my daughter and I submitted photos of each of our cats using 2 different email addresses. We both received a reply from this company stating that each of our cats would be featured in their ********* cat calendar. My daughters cat was displayed on the mock calendar for the month of December on her version of the calendar that she received from them. My mock calendar had a different cat for December. Whereas, my cat was displayed as the September cat on my mock calendar. Yet, on my daughters calendar, there was a different cat for September. Therefore, it wasnt one universal calendar! So, it seems our cats are being featured for our own personal calendar. We are made to believe it is only one ********* calendar. Not good business practices. Do not do business with this company. Ever!!Business Response

Thank you for your feedback. If I may, I would like to take this opportunity to clarify our calendar release process.
We do produce more than one calendar each year. However, it's important to note that not every submitted photo of a dog or cat will be included. Due to our commitment to maintaining high print standards, we must unfortunately reject a significant number of images that do not meet these criteria. We believe in delivering only the highest quality products.
When we do receive images that align with our standards, we strive to feature those beloved pets in our calendars whenever possible. As a business dedicated to raising funds for shelter animals, it is in our best interest to create multiple calendars to support our mission. You can read all about our 2024 contributions from sales on our website here.
If our previous communications gave the impression that we only release a single calendar as part of the contest, I sincerely apologize. Misleading our participants is never our intention.
I truly value your feedback and will take it into consideration as we evaluate how we present our contests moving forward. As a small, family-operated business, we are continually learning and seeking to improve, and your insights are greatly appreciated.Initial Complaint

I submitted a picture of my cat to The Paw Print and they text me saying he was chosen and sent a link to purchase the calendar. They sent me 2 dog calendars instead. I immediately emailed ( since its the only way to contact them/red flag) Now looking back I realize the scam they have going on. They said they were going to send me the correct calendar and I have still not received 3 weeks later and they no longer respond to emailsBusiness Response

This customer did reach out about receiving the wrong calendar. She was informed that we would replace the package and we apologize for the packaging error. We then confirmed shipment, eased her concern with letting her know a manager would double check her package. Replacements follow the same production time as any other item. We started receiving emails about being scam to which we responded that her package had shipped that afternoon. We provided tracking as well.Initial Complaint

The Paw Print uses language in its submissions for their pet calendars that implies an individual is being given special prominence when their pet photo is selected for the calendar but in reality they are not. I submitted a photo of my dog Snapdragon and was texted that he would be featured in the calendar for 2025 but after a quick ****** and ******** search I found that this exact treatment was given to many other individuals who had submitted their own separate pet photos. Looking through the many other ******** posts showed that other peoples pets were also being featured in the calendar. ******** posts that had screen shots shown that each product was nigh identical to one another with the only differences being that some peoples pet photos occasionally switched the month in which their pet was featured. The language given when I submitted was that my pets image was going to be used as a featured product sold on the website for a charitable cause. I was unable to find the calendar featuring my dog on the website in any way other than using a private link that was texted to me. The website never seems to give out anything but private links to a misrepresented product where someones animal is being featuredin the companys charity product. Seeing all the other pet owners with the near identical calendar made me realize that The Paw Print was not giving me a special privilege of having my animal be featured in a unique charity project. The Paw Print actually sells a product where your submitted image is just swapped out with a set of stock images. Counting through the amount of posts from individuals that feature this pattern of exact same images being swapped out were more than enough to create an actual calendar of uniquely selected pet images. Reviews on the website also imply select individuals were given unique prominence.Business Response

The customer complaint states we are scamming and misleading. However, we never advertise our product as a contest, or mention "winning". We accept a large amount of photos each year. Not all photos will be accepted. We reject a large amount of photos to maintain a high print standard. Unfortunately, we reject a significant number of images due to them not meeting the criteria required. When receiving photos that align with our criteria we feature these beloved pets in our calendars whenever possible. The mission of our business is to raise funds to donate to shelters and help animals or owners in need of assistance. I will attach our donations page. **********************************************************************
Our donations page is not up to date but will be soon.
Additionally, if there are previous communications or encounters that have given the impression that we only release one calendar we do apologize.

I am rejecting this response because:
My complaint is not that The Paw Print is being misleading about customers winning a contest but rather they are misleading that the photos used in the calendar are a majority stock photos of other dogs. The ******** posts and screenshots from the initial complaint shows that The Paw Print doesnt use a calendar of photos submitted by other people but just a standard template where your animal is randomly swapped out for another month. I want to see variety in their products that are advertised as being comprised of user submitted images.

We hear the concern however, our business is more intricate than you believe. We know there is a concern here and others feel like there is one calendar produced as well. To help with this we have implemented small changes as we have grown to remedy some of this concern. Be looking for the future changes as well and we hope you return to The Paw Print. Our mission is strong and we have other items to purchase if you are not a fan of the calendar.Customer Answer

I have reviewed the business response and accept this resolution.
I hope that the changes implemented will add clarity to your product. Seeing how many others respond on social media to finding out how your calendars are created the common sentiment is that it is a scam. If you truly are implementing those changes please be more clear as to how the product is made.

This company has scammed me and many others claiming that your pet has won a calendar contest when in fact everyone is declared a winner so that you purchase a calendar. In my case they said they would refund me and they did not. I do not know how this business has been able to continue to operatetoday I received a text saying my dog was to be featured in a puzzle. I want a refund and I want these people to be exposed for taking advantage of people that love their pets.Business Response

We have attached the screenshot showing your account was refunded. We understand the concern as far as the calendar goes. However our business is more intricate that you believe. On 12/9/2024 I ordered a custom shirt order # ****** and I was not happy with the product. It is a picture of my dog on a t shirt, but they cropped the ears off a German Shepherd dog I have contacted them ******* times to return the shirt and get my money back and they will Not even respond back to **** just want my money back..Business Response
Date: 01/30/2025
The customer reached out due to her being unhappy with a custom item. We completed the item with the photo that was submitted. The photo of her pet did not have ears. We simply moved the exact image submitted to a t-shirt. Additionally, the customer did reach out multiple times but was uncooperative with AI. She responded "other" every time and then sent four emails within 24 hours. Once an agent picked up her ticket she was refunded immediately as we do our best to honor a customers wishes. We cannot get the system to allow the photo but if needed, we can provide the photo the customer submitted.Initial Complaint

My daughter and I submitted her dog for their 2025 calendar. Her dog was selected for one of the months and decided to shop small and get us all calendars for Christmas from this scammer. Her order has been in pre-ship since December 12, 2024. ***** Tracking number **********************) - She and I has emailed and messaged them numerous times with very minimal return emails. Yesterday I got an email that my ticket was being handed over to the relevant team for further assistance. We haven't heard anything at all. They don't have a working phone number that you can reach a live human being. We want our product or refund us immediately. This business needs to be shutdown for scamming and preying on people like this through their animals. My daughter is unable to have children so this essentially is her child.Business Response

The individual and their daughter did email multiple times. Our AI system did answer a few of their emails and then *****s took over. This was a difficult encounter with a customer as they both were emailing about one order issue causing confusion. A second ***** attempted the ticket for what I assume was the daughter and let her know we were have a difficult time located the issue with the order and would figure it out but we appreciated her patience. At this point the error was not within The Paw Print but through the *************** The package shipped December 12th, was likely lost because its next check in spot was Metro NY on January 18th and has since been delivered to their mailbox.
While attempting to assist this customer the *****s were informed this customer had emailed the **************** and of Michigan multiple times. She also informed the *****s she would be calling the local news and accused them of participating in illegal practice. Meanwhile the package was lost with ****. The Digital Operations Manager claimed the ticket and informed the customer that we would replace the whole package since it hadn't moved. She also informed the customer she would educate the *****s to work fast on a solution instead of attempting to locate a cause until after an event. The customer requested a refund. She was fully refunded the same day and the **** found and delivered the package.

My order was never shipped so I requested cancelation. They submitted it yesterday but it has been removed from my account. There was a credit for it but now it's gone.Business Response

This complaint is simply untrue. The customer requested a refund on December 30th because she stated she believed it was fraud. We refunded her the 30th as requested. The payout was deducted from our account on December 31st but can take up to 10 business day to be allocated back to the original payment method. Within the next 24 hours the customer emailed five times stating we refunded it but took it back. If that took place this customer will need t contact their financial establishment.Initial Complaint

I am rejecting this response because:
it would seem that even though I never personally submitted the photo of my particular pet, everyone is the winner of a mysterious pet calendar photo contest where, in turn, the end user is sold their own pets vanity for Paw Print to execute their bait and switch business model. A very wholesome venture it would seem. So why even bother having a privacy policy centered around a fake contest? Its essentially just an ups store with low tech photoshop.

Our customers have free will to submit or not submit. We do not allow all photos and reject a large number of photos daily. Additionally, bait and switch is an illegal practice that we do not participate in. We apologize that you are not satisfied by our business model. We do have a mission here at The Paw Print and we do our best to care for our customers and for the animals. Please feel free to visit our website and the donations page to see what all of this is for.

There was a contest for cats and dogs for their 2025 calendars. Me and thousands others submitted our pet for a chance to win. A couple weeks later I get a text saying Gypsy is featured in a 2025 calendar by The Paw Print. Then a code to buy the calendars. So obviously I buy a 4-pack for a discounted price of $85 after shipping and taxes. I got excited and I told some people. Well that lead to me finding out that ANOTHER cat was selected at the winner of the same contest and to our surprise, FOR THE SAME MONTH. So basically theyre running a contest that 90% of the animals win just so that people will buy their product. Because why did my cat win the **** spot in your calendar but so did 100 other cats. You can sell your product without lying to people.Business Response

Hello, we do not use to word contest nor do we pretend it is a contest. We simply ask if our customers would like their pet to be featured in the calendar as a calendar model.
