There should be a option for zero stars. Just like the rest of the complaints Neiman Marcus took my order on 12/24/2022 stating **** day delivery date. It is 1/21/2023 and I still have not received the merchandise. I've called to cancel and they will not allow it because it's been "in process" for a month. No tracking available and no estimated delivery date. Surely not only is it unethical but it must be illegal to hold onto the customer funds without fulfilling the order not allowing a refund.Neiman Marcus Company

I placed an order on Dec 27th and my card was charged without issue. Then the charge went away. Then the charge re appeared with a new shipping date. Then the charge went away again! My bank flagged it as fraud. When I called Neiman Marcus I was told they couldn't find the shoes I ordered so my card wasn't charged. Why did they sell me shoes they didn't have?! My bank cleared the charge while I waited for the order but NM then said to me it was a bank issue and a shipping issue as to why the charge didn't clear again from them. My bank said there were no issues. The last time I talked to ** they said the charge wasn't happened because of a "systems issue" on their end. Today they canceled my order. I feel that NM tried to sell me shoes they didn't actually have and tried to cover their *****. I'm highly disappointed and do not recommend shopping online with them. Ever.Neiman Marcus Company

Thank you for taking the time to communicate to us on behalf of our customer ***************.
We are sorry for any disappoint that may have been a result of her recent shopping experience.
When an order is placed, Neiman Marcus placing a pre-authorization on the customer's account. This ensures the funds are available when the order ships.
If the order does not ship within a certain number of days (Visa 7 days), the pre-authorization is released. When this happens, our systems go back in and place a pre-authorize the funds again.
This process will continue until the order ships. At this point the pre-authorization is converted to an actual charge.
In this case, Ms. ******* bank felt there might be something fraudulent.
Once that happened, we were unable to pre-authorize the funds again.
After 5 days, with no other form of payment submitted, our system automatically cancels the order.
At the time Ms. ******* placed her order, the item was in stock, and this played no part in the cancellation of the order.

Believe these reviews. Zero stars. I ordered a suitcase which they claimed was in stock and was given an estimated arrival date of two days later. I never received the suitcase. In fact, every two days, Neiman Marcus adds another two days to the estimated arrival date. This has been going on for three weeks! I call customer service every two days and am consistently told that the item is ready for shipment and they are just waiting for the tracking number in the system. **************** has promised a $100 discount for my delays. That never happened. Then I was told that I would receive a 15% discount for the delays. Again, it never happened. Today, I tried to cancel the order. I was told that the order was "in process" and could not be cancelled. I did not receive the suitcase in time for my trip this past weekend. will be processed.

1 starMy husband bought me a scarf as a gift and didn't notice that it was a back order. I called a week later to find out how long the back order would be, the customer service lady told me it could be weeks or months, she doesn't know and can't give me an estimate nor give me any type of resolutions. I called back to exchange for the same scarf, same price just different color and that they have available on the website and spent another 20 minutes on the phone with this gentleman only to find out since my husband used the gift card for the purchase, he has to cancel my previous order and place a new order but now i have to wait for 3 BD for the new gift card to arrive to his email and have to call them back to place a new order when it just a simple exchange. For a big company that sell all high end items, this is unacceptable. Your customer service is not great and needs to be retrained. You are not upfront with your customer and you're making everything more complicated than it should be! 1 starSomething has definitely gone terribly wrong with Neiman Marcus. I ordered a luxury bag on 12/17. Promised delivery was 12/21. Then I was told 12/26. Then I was told 1/3, then I was told, 1/11. The item is in 'processing'. I have spoke to customer service several times and they all say there was a delay in the warehouse. Based on identical problems I've seen from others, it seems like this is a massive internal breakdown. I have a friend that works at the ******************* and this seems like a story that *** have legs as to the operations of **. I would encourage others to reach out to WSJ contact for new story and they can get ********** and anecdote. Its so sad, this company used to have such great service. I understand delays happen, but the lack of communication and the fact that Neiman Marcus has already been paid for 3 weeks for something they are not delivering is absolutely NOT what I would expect.Review fromKeisha N

I placed two orders. One on 12/17/22 the other on 12/18/22. My orders were not a part of the gift card promotion but rather after it. When I ordered I was aware both items would be delivered 12/27/22. The item ordered 12/17/22 was canceled on 12/21/22 by merchant stating would not be delivered by Christmas? So I had to reorder, No updates provided on that order until today 01/07/23 when received email to advise on backorder and would not be back in until at least late March. I could cancel or leave order open. I chose to cancel. The order from 12/18/22-deliver date was pushed to 12/29/22 then to 01/06/23 now to 01/12/23 with still no shipping updated. The item was for my child for Christmas who leaves to return to college and has no Christmas gift and I can't change the shipping address or get an update on when on item I ordered 12/18 2022 will even be shipped. I know now not to order any Christmas gifts or anything really from Neiman Marcus. All of these complaints and shady business to drive website traffic. If you had a sale warehouse staff should have been in place. It does not take a month to ship out items. Where are our orders!Neiman Marcus Company
