My mother subscribed to this company in hopes of finding books for college courses. They dont have a phone number, and there doesnt seem to be a feature to unsubscribe on their website. Thus, she emailed them on January 8th to unsubscribe. She received no response. Today, April 7th, she was charged for their subscription.

I purchase a free trial from "All You Can Books". After I had signed up for the trial, it will not let me access their website anymore. I believe they are a fraudulent website trying to scam customers. Now I have no way to cancel my subscription because they will not let me access the site.

This is NOT a customer. We do not have a customer account under this name or email. Customer probably did not complete their signup or they would have received a confirmation email with login instructions.

I requested to cancel the free trial before the period ended. I made the request on 1/16/24 via email. There is no way to actually cancel the membership/free trial on the app or website, you have to email the company to cancel ******************************** I assumed that my account was canceled, but I was charged a fee of $19.99 on 2/8/24. On 2/20/24 I again emailed the company asking to cancel and for a refund. I was then sent a link to cancel, but the link did not work and said bad request. I emailed again and was finally able to cancel; however, the company had repeatedly refused to issue a refund. Additionally, I never even used the services/never downloaded any books. I have now filed a dispute with my bank.

I signed up for a free trial back in October of 2023. Since then after the free trial I haven't used the service at all and even though they've attempted to charge me for the subscription payment I haven't ever had any money in the account and so it never charged it. And I didn't even know they were trying to still charge it until a few days ago on February 4th and they charge me $21.64 for the subscription even though every month prior to that when they've attempted to charge me and it didnt work any of those times. I emailed them the same day about getting a refund and canceling the subscription. Which eventually I had to call up there to get the subscription canceled and The representative said that she would request for a refund. I got an email back saying that in their terms and conditions they don't provide refunds. But in the terms and conditions it actually says they were not provide refund for any partial month membership period. It also says that they were not provide a refund for any charges already incurred before cancellation. What I'm trying to figure out is if there is a limited number of times they could try to collect payment before they're not allowed to charge the card anymore. I know for some companies it's like three or four times or something but after a year I'm not being able to collect payment I would think that they would quit trying to collect it from my payment source. I just want them to refund the money cuz I haven't used the service and I'm not going to use it.

Customer's account has been canceled and a one-time courtesy refund was issued for the charge in February.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 02/13/2024

I am rejecting this response because:   I haven't received  the refund as of yet. After I do I will be satisfied with the outcome.. thank you for issuing the refund and thank you BBB for your help because they had no intentions of refunding my money and they wouldn't have without BBB's intervention.
