I signed up for the 30 day free trial. Just after signing up I realized that this is not what it says it is and I wanted to cancel my subscription. I found no way to cancel. I have tried multiple times to contact them via email and have not received a response even though they say there is 24/************** available. I have not been charged yet but I want to cancel before I'm charged. This is clearly a scam!Business Response

I signed up for a free trial with All You Can Books and almost immediately I saw that there were no books on there that I was interested in. I emailed the company via the ONLY contact method they have on their website and sent them an email requesting to cancel my subscription effective immediately before I was charged after my trial ended. The card I had on file was a card I rarely use and mainly use it for savings deposits so I was not aware until today that I was being charged this entire time for a subscription that I had sent a cancellation request email to on 1/12/2023. I am livid. I went through my emails and never once got a response from the company and I double checked and made sure it went to the correct email address that they have listed on their website. You can even look on my account and see that I have downloaded absolutely zero books and have not been on the site until today when I realized I was still being charged monthly.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: There is no option to cancel whatsoever on their website. Even when I looked under my account profile there was never an option to cancel. The only way to even get a hold of someone was via email which is what I did PRIOR to my trial period ending. I sent an email in on Jan 12, 2023 asking to cancel and they NEVER once sent me anything to cancel via a web link nor did they even respond at all. It is unethical and unprofessional to continue charging a person for a monthly subscription service when there is no where on their website that allows a person to cancel on their own and the only way to cancel or even talk to someone is via email which they never responded to.Business Response

Customer followed the instructions and was able to log in and cancel the account themselves on 12/29/2023 10:21:44 AM. They immediately received a confirmation email that the account was canceled.In their January 12 email customer asked what information we need to cancel and we provided them instructions how to cancel same day. Customer did not cancel until 12/29/2023. We have issued a courtesy refund and there is nothing more we can do.

I have kept all emails from this company and never once did I get a response in Jan 2023. Their information is incorrect, otherwise, I would have cancelled a long time ago and would not be taking all this time and stress submitting this rebuttal. I signed up for a free trial, but never used the service. I was not notified of the end of the trial. I am disabled and sometimes miss emails because I have to stay in bed and can't use my feet to type online and access my iPad. I think I was charged before the trial was over. I signed up for a free trial period and accessed the page once, the first day. I never logged in again because their products were inferior and the website not nearly as diverse as they promised. Since then they have quietly been billing my bank account $19.99 for a total of $99.95 in the last six months. I can't believe I fell for this trick! Proof this is a predatory and deceptive forced subscription scam:1) there is no "billing" page on their site talking about their fees or telling you what/ is they're charging you. 2) When you go to the "Account" page, there is no mention of a subscription or a way to view/print/access your "bills" or receipts. There is NO WAY to cancel your "subscription". Your only options are to sign out or to change your password. 3) The help page does not mention billing or how to unsubscribe. The only help they offer is with your device, itself. There's not even a way to "search" for how to get rid of their vampiric charges. 4) Other than my initial email, I did not receive ANY contact from them. They wanted me to forget they existed, and it worked until I deep-dived my bank account and found out they've stolen a hundred bucks from me. I HAVE RECEIVED 0 BILLS I HAVE RECEIVED 0 INVOICES I HAVE RECEIVED 0 RECEIPTS and THERE IS NO WAY TO GET THESE THINGS FROM THEIR WEBSITE. To this day, I am still on this forced subscription, because there is no way to terminate it on their site. I am including screen captures of their site to show there are no unsubscription outings or any way to show what/why they've been taking money from my account I expect a refund, and something really needs done about them. I am rejecting this response because: They failed to mention I logged in only once in that first day. The reply they gave implies I used their service a lot. Those books were downloaded on the first day during the "free trial." Also: I was ONLY able cancel my service by following their instructions. They've hidden the cancelation option so deep in their TOS, you have to know to look for it there. Their entire website is designed to keep you from realizing you're getting billed and keep you from remembering you have a "subscription" and an option to cancel it.
They never sent me an invoice, bill, receipt, or payment confirmation. There is no BILLING page or a place I can go to see how much they're charging, what card they're charging to, and when the charge will take place. This is 100% blatant fraudulent and deceptive behavior.
I expect a FULL refund.

I was in search for a specific couple of books when I encountered the All You Can Books site. I signed up for their 30-day trial. When I didn't find what I was looking for, I sent an email to their **************** January 13 PLEASE CANCEL MY ACCOUNT because I didn't feel the search function was robust and not customer friendly.On August 9 I noticed that I was still being charged. I called with some confusion about the charge. When clarified, I was stunned that my account had not been canceled Jan 13 and they had charged me for 8 months. I requested that the account be canceled and I wanted a refund. **************** said they would look into it.In September they charged my card again. I called October 17 to inquire why account had not been canceled either Jan 13 or August 9. On 6/3/23 I downloaded 3 apps on my iPhone to see which I liked better, all You can books was one of them. When I noticed there was a charge I immediately went to cancel it as I was looking for only free apps.. I tried to log back in but it wouldnt take my password, so I requested a password reset (all within about an hour of downloading it) I immediately logged back in to cancel the service. After I cancelled it I went into my subscriptions which I do each week, and never was there a subscription for all you can books.. but I noticed 10/13/23 that I have been getting charged ***** a month since June! I sent them a screenshot showing them I do not have a subscription with them; I then downloaded the app again and hit the cancel once again: I explained this error on their end several times, I not once used the account, I hit the unsubscribe button on my end within a couple hours of the initial download.. they refuse to return my funds. I was charged $***** from June to Oct 4. They are a very dishonest company!Customer Answer

I did the book ******'s free trial. I cancelled my membership prior to the free trial being over via email. They insist I did not contact them. But I did and I continue to contact them.
