      Hello ,
      I want to complain about predatory lending practices orchestrated by first American finance . I purchased furniture and was told that I had 3 months to pay it off with no interest . However I have since come to find out that I was not being charged interest but instead being charged a "leasing fee" which basically means that out of my biweekly payments of $116 only about $10 is actually applied to my purchase . There is no way to even see the transaction ledger on my account in order to understand what is happening and when I called to find out how to pay this off early I was told it would be a settlement and that this would damage my credit score . I believe that this is absolutely predatory! I was under the impression I would be charged interest after 3 months but at no time was it explained that I would be leasing my furniture after paying on it for 90 days . This is robbery

      The business contact me via phone and questioned me as if I was being interrogated then tried to twist my words . They made no attempt to alleviate my concerns or help me in any way whatsoever. The woman was very rude and unkind ti me as if she was a debt collector which is unacceptable especially since I have never had a late payment on my account and have paid 116. Biweekly since April only to see I that my balance has barley moved an inch . This is predatory lending plain and simple possibly some type of loan padding . It should be illegal to do this to people . I should be given an additional 90 days to pay this off now that I fully understand the true terms .

      Good afternoon. I paid on Monday at 8-15-22 for $80.00. I noticed today that the payment did not post to my account. Today 8/16/22, I made another payment for $80.00, and the payment is not applying to the account, so the account is 25 days past due. So when I reached out to the company about this, they said that no payments had not been made.

      I have paid all of the amount that I've narrowed plus more . They have charged 3x-5x more then than I narrowed . It didn't even show me I was gonna pay that amount they told me a whole different amount . Now I'm being charged and over exaggerating amount of money . They just basically lie to people and bribe them into barrowing

      I applied for a loan to buy furniture at American Freight and was approved twice, go figure. Once for $2400 and the 2nd time for $1200. I had products lined up and was reading over the contract and couldn't see paying the very high interest and rates for 12 months. I went back to my cart and deleted the items. Five minutes later I get an email thanking me for my down payment of $53.50...and there is no contract signed electronically or in person. They can sign it electronically themselves and possibly get away with fraud, but not with this guy. I received an email saying this; "

For all questions concerning your account, please contact American First Finance through one of the methods indicated in this email.". There was never a contract sent. This is just outright theft and with the high interest rates, why do they need to steal? Thank you for your help. The following is from my bank showing that the money was taken. Of course, I could have made it up, but Huntington Bank has dealt with crooks before and provide proof of the theft. Thank you... 08/08/2022

      Predatory finance charges and they want let me return the merchandise to get out the lease agreement they are predatory and needs to be stoped.
