1 starMy mom went into the standalone Baptist ER on 281 and ************* for an ear infection. She was transferred to ************************************, subjected to a battery of cardiac tests only to be discharged 4 days later and told she is fine. Little to no communication was provided, and when we asked questions, we were essentially dismissed. We will never return to a Baptist hospital again. And, we have yet to see the bills, so **** only knows what the charges will be. This experience was downright awful.Review fromAspen L

1 starNurses and Drs- 10/10 BILLING 0000/10. Absolutely impossible to deal with. For one- who callings billing the business center 2, voicemail says all calls will be returned within 24 hours Ive called many, many, many times and left VM, Ive received 1 single call back, and she told me she would call me the next day. Here we are over a month later- over $1,000 was pulled from my account in a matter of 3 days. Because she said it shouldnt come out. And it did. I called the same day, left a voice mail, called the next day left a voice mail. I have been leaving at least one a week now. It was over 100k to have a baby delivered with epidural and 6 days in the nicu after he got stuck, inhaled fluid. 10k for pharmacy, just absolutely ridiculous. Since March of 2023, we have paid 770 a month on time- and in May we paid $1240 because they screwed it up. Over drafted our account. I have basically BEGGED. they claim they cant make our bill $200 a month due to hardship. So I cancelled our card. Im just absolutely fed up with the billing department. From the one lady with voicemail- to the call center people who dont understand me. I dread every having to use them again solely because of billing. I want to pay my stuff off- but dont sit here and guilt trip me about I used services when you **** peoples insurance for hundreds of thousands into the millions every single year. Wayyyy over priced on everything. Just insane.Review fromJennifer C

1 starBe careful going to the ** here. They will rip you off and overcharge you for services. My daughter came here for a UTI and they didn't even see her properly in a room. They put is in a corner by a desk and made us wait for two hours. They wanted to do all kinds of blood work on her but as a mom I told them all they needed to do was a urine sample. Her symptoms were not complicated so that was all they did and then gave her antibiotics for treatment. We got a bill of $11,993! $2,385 was for lab work which I asked what exactly the lab work was for. They still have not sent me the medical records to show exactly what this was for. They had wanted to perform blood work and we did not do any of that, so a urine sample costs $2385! The emergency room was $9,488 that we did not use at all. We were in a chair in a corner for two hours! Our insurance covered some of it but they are still saying we owe about $2K! Be warned before you go to this place. They will rip you off and bill your insurance for things beyond what you were seen for. Super unethical! To be in an industry of saving lives, they are really good at trying destroy them first!Review fromCathy D

Awful. I signed up for this "insurance" when I was laid off and need coverage. The sales person was very convincing I was getting a PPO type coverage, but clearly lied. They don't cover basic lab work, or out patient therapy, and a plethora of other services. When I tried over and over to get a claim form or a list of my covered services, no one could help me. Avoid.Tenet Healthcare Corporation

1 starThe level of communication at this hospital is beyond any other. One doctor says you going home. The other says you got a king to drain. The other one says you liquid is cancerous what *** want to know biopsy for. They install a drain for which they given million excuses why patient got discharge and stopped at the door to be told you cant leave until you drain kit here. A week later kit has not been order and they keep pointing at insurance but yet insurance already approve nurse home visit. Stay away from this bunch of unprofessionals! Humanity compassion and bed manners do not exist here.Review fromRodolfo N

1 star2nd visit, 2nd most horrible experience at a hospital. They do not know how to treat human beings with humanity and dignity. They are clearly understaffed (they said so themselves, nurses especially and only 1 doctor), most of them had bad manners with my mother and I, horrible patient communication (4 hours later they still couldn't figure out my mother speaks only Spanish), and did not care at all for my mother's pain or discomfort. Not at all. She is 82. She is sick and alone. She deserves much better. Not only that, but a MAN who barely works behind a desk without any caregiver title, tried to "help" my 82 year old FEMALE almost-naked mother urinate... without a "chaperone" and without asking for my mother's consent. That is forbidden in any hospital in the *** and the rest of the Western World (at least).I complained about all these mistreatment and he called security. Then all the nursing and staff team began a passive-aggressive treatment towards us.Not happy with that, the surgeon on call, proceeded to stitch up my mom (10 inch lesion) before the local anesthesia kicked in. He did not wait a second. My mother is strong as a rock, but she cried and screamed like an infant during most of the procedure. The anesthesia kicked in by the end of it. She is extremely upset as a patient and as a doctor. The treatment was inhumane. He's stitching technique, I would not use it on my worst enemy.AVOID NORTH CENTRAL BAPTIST HOSPITAL if you value your life, pain, suffering, dignity and time.Review fromTyrone H

My experiences at North Shore Medical Center A ******* Family Hospital are horrible and disturbing. My experience in their emergency room has been terrible. They have RNs who dont know what they are doing or have little experience. I never had any issues with a medical staff drawing my blood from my arms or putting on a heparin lock. When I visited this hospital emergency room the RN didnt know how to and kept trying to give me the worst pain that I was feeling I was dying and about to pass out. She had to get a nurse practitioner who works in the ** to do it and they did it in one try. The emergency room doctor always gave me a misdiagnosis and didnt order any blood tests that under my medical condition any doctor would have done. I had to ask the ** nurse to take one test she could without a doctor's ****** I had very high blood pressure and severe headaches they only treated me for my headaches, not the pressure. The RN in the emergency room noted my blood pressure was 178/104 and said she would let the doctor know but they didnt do anything. This emergency room is dangerous and I will recommend if you have a choice to pick another hospital please do that. My family had bad experiences as well. I try to call the department at the hospital that deals with complaints but they never answer the phone and only call me after I make a complaint to my insurance company and the **************** which deals with hospitals compliance and complaints. Please try to avoid this or at least their emergency services departmentTenet Healthcare Corporation

1 starSo I took my 2 yr old yesterday to have some blood work done and I'm not really okay with the experience we had. The lady was teaching another young lady on what to look for, proceeded to put the needle in his arm. Now I know protocol used to be you had 3 chances to find the vein before you had to start over, however im not sure if it has changed. Now of course I don't expect anyone to get it on the first try everytime, but to keep digging around in my child's arm? For well over 1 minute? No I'm sorry I don't think so. There was a third lady with a white lab coat who came out due to my child screaming. With the same needle in she continued to poke around in my child's arm. For now 2 minutes no vein has been touched. It took me yelling at them to take it out and try the other arm for them to move on. She got the vein in the other arm within seconds. Never received and apology not have a nice day nothing from these "senior" lab workers. Working in the medical field is excruciating beyond imagination.. however that was too much and to be a 2 year old I can only imagine what it was like. I'm sure I am more traumatized then he is anymore, but I don't think that was an experience anyone should have and then to completely disregard what just happened. Do better. Your hospital already has a bad wrap here in rock hill and I see why.
