      tried to get an reimbursment because they put in a smart meter on my house and turned off my gas which i had to PAY a heating/AC tech to relight the pilot in my attic which cost ******,filled out atmos reimbursement form and also sent a picture of the reciept,was told it would be 1 buisness day and nothing ever happened,no replys to emails after sending the same info again and again...atmos dodges people but is great at taking thier cash every month for a bloated bill,my gas hasnt been turned off in 22 years till atmos turned it off to install a smart meter and it cost me ******

      Just moved from ******** to *********. Received our first bill of $364.66. A deposit of $336.00 is apart of this bill. I have never is more than 40 years of paying utility bills had to pay a deposit in this outrageous amount especially with having a credit score of more than 830. Called and spoke to a supervisor by the name of ***** at ATMOS ENERGY in ** and was first told that the deposit is based on Social Security soft pull, driver's license and birth date. Told ***** that no employee ever asked me for my social security number. Then ***** told me that the gas bill was based on the last two months of a gas bill from the previous resident. Then asked ***** what interest rate Atmos Energy would be paying me to hold $336.00 of my money for four months. She told me that Atmos Energy would be paying me 4.5% to hold my deposit for four months. I will be going to our local townhall meeting to complain about this gas service and hopefully the media will be present to look into this.

      We reviewed the move in call where the deposit was discussed with the customer. Anytime a customer chooses not to provide us with personal identification data to run a soft credit check or the soft credit check determines a deposit, a deposit is automatically charged. In this area the deposit is based on the 2 highest prior invoices at the home. The deposit plus 4.5% interest in this area is returned to the customer once an account has been active for at least 10 months and at least 10 payments have been made in the last 10 months on the account covering at least 80% of the billed charges. To waive this deposit, the customer can provide a letter of credit from another utility. Please call us at ************ to submit this letter.

      Atmos in ******* ******** turned my gas off the day before a huge storm. Im a single father with 2 kids. My bill was 250 dollars. Then, they refused to make a service call from Thursday until the following Monday even after I paid the bill in full. We are sitting here freezing, wishing I could hire an ************* company. What a bunch of cowards.

      We show a termination notice was mailed out 7/24/2023. We then called the customer 8/9/2023 regarding the pending disconnection order and left a voicemail. We called again 8/22/2023 and got no answer 3 times. *********** was disconnected for non-payment 8/23/2023. The customer called for payment amount on 8/23/2023. Payment was made Friday 8/25/2023. *********** was reconnected 8/28/2023 the following Monday due to no appointment orders being worked on the weekend. Atmos Energy does not turn off gas when temperatures are near or below freezing. Temperatures in the area on 8/23/2023 were at a low of 57 degrees per temperature data and heating was not in use.       The worse service I've ever had. They disconnected my gas line yesterday morning for repairs and asked me to call their office so that they can send someone to come and reconnect it. I called yesterday around midday and was told someone was gonna come before 5PM. Apparently the person came but never knocked the door or rang the bell but instead put a note at my door that he/she was here. Called them this morning and was told someone will come between 10AM and 5PM, it's 5:18PM now and I just called and they claim again that someone came and nobody was home. I work from home and never leave the house between 8AM and next day 5AM. I can't believe they are full of liars and dumb people. Who comes to a home and doesn't knock or ring the bell but just assumes someone is not in.

      This company is terrible and they dont give a darn about their customers. Terrible service!! Terrible customer service workers. Nobody knows nothing. They cant help you. You present legit information and they still cant help. Not happy and it doesnt seem like it will ever change. Their core values means absolutely nothing. Just Sorry!

      One star for billing practices. Just moved in to the new place in *****, and first bill for 6 days with zero gas consumption (house was vacant) had $41 customer charge. They never mentioned it when I was activating new account by phone, they didnt prorate it, they just added it to the bill. On top of that there was meter reading fee, and total bill became $61 for the first week with zero gas usage. **************** is rude and unprofessional as well.

      Their service is flat out pathetic. Everyone I've dealt with is completely incompetent. If you ever try to get your gas line removed, be ready for a multiple month long nightmare. Also, you apparently cannot speak to the local office by phone. You will get forwarded to a center in ********, *****. There, they only know what techs have written about as far as a job goes, and those techs are apparently way too incompetent to keep records or understand a simple instruction such as remove the gas meter and the gas line. It's now been about 2 months, and my gas line still hasn't been removed. The last time I called, the girl said I should be hearing from someone in about 3 days. I never got a call, so zi called them. The girl I spoke to was of little to no help. Do not expect ANY communication from this company. You will just be disappointed. I'm planning on building a garage, and I had originally debated on later getting the gas line reinstalled so that I could use my old gas furnace in my garage, but forget that. I'm not putting myself through this nightmare again. Looks like I'm going to have to go another route for heat in the garage.

      Absolutely horrible and ridiculous! If there was another option we would go with them. Trying to get service since 4/5/2023, today 5/4/2023 (May the 4th be with you) and STILL don't have service. Every phone call and email results in the run around.

      Atmos is the UTMOST useless company. I'm sitting here entering hour #6 - of my "4 hour window" of 12noon-4pm, just to have my home's gas turned on. Joy! Thanks Atmos. I'm here with no furniture, no wi-fi, and my light lunch having worn off. This company could not care less. "The tech is wrapping up his job ahead of you" AND "You're the next job" appear to be their standard language to keep you standing by idling while they continue to fail to service their clients, honor appointments, or offer any compensation for your time and patience. They DO NOT VALUE THEIR CUSTOMERS. DO BETTER. Period
