Our records indicate check number ****** in the amount of $1,165.00 issued to Alnashia Mahabeir has reconciled and cleared our bank on 5/29/2024. Additionally, this vehicle was purchased by Peddle LLC, not Copart. Copart issued payment to ***************** on behalf of Peddle LLC.

Copart respectfully request the BBB to close this complaint as this transaction is complete and the owner has been paid for their vehicle.

The information for the complaint information is for the 2015 DODGE RAM LOT Number ********. I hope this helps Copart to conduct a full investigation into this matter.

cle there due to safety reasons (more things could possible end up stolen). So we were again informed by ******** that Copart would be responsible and replace the stolen lightbar and remote and call us when it arrived. On May 15 I went to Copart to pickup the replacement parts oredered by Copart only to find they did not order my original parts but ordered some aftermarket parts that are not even worth half of my original parts. We did not take the parts and left them there, we contacted ******** who stated she would call upper management. Then the Yard Manager for the ***** location calls me to state I can accept the parts they offered or nothing at all. This is when I decided to file a complaint and find an actual resolution to my complaint.

Unfortunately, *********************** did not provide enough information to identify the vehicle in question. The Copart member number, Copart lot number or VIN would suffice. Once we receive that information, we will be happy to investigate the matter.

      Thank you,

I have reviewed the business response and accept this resolution as long as the original parts are replaced, not with aftermarket parts within the next 30 days. Thank you.

Around September of last year my car was damaged in an accident. The person at fault was covered by ********************* State Farm had my car picked up by a wrecker from Copart and stored at their facility while processing the claim. Copart was paid by state farm. (I put 1000k in the amount because It wouldn't let me put 0) The damage to my car was to the rear of the vehicle. When I picked up my vehicle at Copart it was damaged in the front. I provided photos to Copart and spoke to **** who took responsibility for the damage. He said he would let me know what they were willing to compensate me for the damage. He stung me along for months. The specific front lower bumper could not be found anywhere since it is an older car with specialized parts. Finally after multiple emails and calls, **** said he would give me $125. The damage will cost well over 2000k to replace or repair and paint the part. This was an insufficient amount. **** said the check would be in the mail. It never came. I have contacted him on Multiple occasions and cc'ed the other associated email addresses. At first he told me he would look into it but now he does not respond at all. It is not fair that they are allowed to damage my car and not compensate me to have my car repaired

***************************** is not a customer of **********************. **********************'s customer in this matter is State Farm, who assigned *****'s vehicle to Copart as part of an insurance claim. If ***** has any issues regarding their vehicle while it was at Copart, they should address them with State Farm who requested the vehicle be brought to Copart. As this is not related to a marketplace issue, Copart respectfully requests the BBB close this complaint.

We have received confirmation from the management team at the Copart purchasing location explaining they will be proceeding with a buyback of the referenced vehicle. The reimbursement for the purchase of this vehicle has been placed in your member account as unapplied funds. You may use these funds on any future purchases. We appreciate your patience while resolving this result of unforeseen occurrence.

This resolution would have been fantastic, but unfortunately this yard left it up to me to have the vehicle towed back to them when I paid for delivery in the first place. So I am out more money and time now on something that wasnt my fault. On top of this, I feel I should have been issued a check directly at the time of drop off. Instead I was told the vehicle would have to go thru processing again and now its been a week and I have yet to hear anything.  vehicle picked up and my money refunded, it is not responsibility to chase down a title. Its actually illegal to not provide me with one, and I shouldnt be on the hook with having to get a bonded title. I would like a resolution where you pick the car up and bring me a full refund check, please advise

While we appreciate Mr. ********* comments regarding Coparts procedures, Copart's procedures are updated based on how the company sees fit. Copart will review and discuss Mr. ********* comments internally to see if any procedures need to be updated/amended. However, in reviewing the notes for the referenced vehicle. ******************** accepted the bid amount referenced on 5/15.Our notes further indicate the vehicle was paid for on 5/21. Mr. ********* member notes also state an ACH payment was received on 5/20; however, there were no instructions received on where these funds were to be allocated. Copart respectfully requests the BBB close Mr. *********  complaint,as all member fees are outlined in the Member Terms & Conditions which you signed upon becoming a member.  You have the availability to see the fees listed in detail by logging into your Copart member account, Clicking on the My Account tab, then at the bottom of the menu you will see a Member Fees section. Everything is explained there.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 05/28/2024

I am rejecting this response because:   Copart boldly lied in their reply above. I paid and THEY RECIEVED the wire transfer on 15 May. I can confirm this from the 4-5 people I spoke with at Copart all stated the same thing "funds were transferred to us on 15 May". The payment was submitted and received by Copart on 15 May and them stating anything otherwise is a PURE LIE!  COPART DID NOT release the funds into my account so the vehicle could be paid until 20 May. At that time the Copart Representative stated they paid for the vehicle but my app still showed it not paid. By this time it was 5 pm and COPART was closed. The next day I called and they again stated they paid the car, Wrong. They only put the money into my Copart member account and did not pay the car off. Something you CANNOT SEE in the app. It was only after I logged into the website on my PC that i saw the funds available in my account. Then after I discovered the funds in that account section I paid for the vehicle. Again, if Copart had the money on 15 May and I paid in "Good Faith" why are you charging me $25 per day for waiting on your clerical process? I understand if payment was not submitted until after the storage fees start date, then I would be responsible for those fees. THIS is not the case. All potential bidders need to be warned of your theft and predatory practices. And thats is what I will do.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 06/25/2024

I made a purchase from Copart on April 30th, for which I promptly paid and picked up the vehicle. However, on May 14th, I discovered a $15 title fee on my Copart app, despite never receiving any prior notification or invoice for this charge. On May 15th, when purchasing another vehicle, I included this $15 fee in my payment. Despite my prompt payment, Copart inexplicably delayed processing it for five days. When I contacted them on May 20th to address the delay, I was informed of a $20 late fee for the $15 title charge incurred on May 15th, which I was never notified about either. This marks the second instance where Copart has charged me post-purchase without prior notification. As a consumer, I rely on clear communication from businesses regarding any outstanding charges. Since I do not check the Copart app regularly, it is unreasonable to expect me to be aware of these charges without notification. Charging a late fee for an undisclosed charge is not only predatory but also likely illegal.

The company violates there own policies, I'm in a binding contract for 48 hrs, yet there policies says a counter bid on a vehicle (when a seller has a price set and offers a counter after lot won). The binding is only for 24 hrs Pacific time.

      Business Response

      Date: 05/23/2024

In reviewing our records and the bid log for the vehicle referenced, our seller set a minimum bid (buy it now price) of $1950; ****************** bid of $725 was rejected from our seller and placed on the next available auction. Our records do not indicate ************** made any counter offers to our seller to consider.

on 5-20-2024 my car was towed to their lot for inspection due to a car accident and I left my backpack in my vehicle by mistake, when I rushed to go get my belongings and I was made to wait a while they proceeded to tell me I cant go to ky vehicle with house shoes then when they brought me my backpack my jewelry handheld game portable charger and all my change was missing out of my backpack and they moved my backpack from the backseat to the trunk when there was nothing left in my car to clean but a trashbag. they claimed it wasnt them but they were the only hands that touched it and I was told by another employee this is what they do. The company said they wouldnt do anything about it. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS PLACE THEY ARE THIEVES AND THEY COVER FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES AND PLAY DUMB

I am rejecting this response because:   I consider myself a customer since you have NOT hired me. We have a contract in which you asked me to do xyz to get hired and I have done it plus spend thousand dollars. I since I continue to get the run around it seems your company doesn't want to hire me because of my race.  I have been approved the rejected weeks letter after showing my driver identification. Now, Im going throught the process for the 3rd time back to back never denied. It took you company 2 weeks to say the paperwork I faxed in was not clear. The insurance and driver license not clear AFTER being approved. My work schedule (I never gave ) not clear. For the last 3 weeks all I have gotten is exuses after my paperwork has been accepted and something else comes up.  I put up a million dollar policy and copart comes back say the name is missing. I fix that, then they come back saying it not clear. What!!!

I asked for the name and number to HR department. They want give it out. WHY!!!! SOMEBODY IS NOT TELL THE ***** AS TO WHY IM NOT WORKING AFTER DOING WHAT YOUR ASST. **** ASKED FOR.

rom BiBERK. BiBerk is owned by one of the richest man in the world and as of today I haven't received any work from copart. And I have spent thousand of dollars at their request. And after looking around and talking with some of the other workers, it seems to be racism. I have attaced a copy of my policy. I have all of this in emails
