They came out and installed springs on a garage door for me. They didn't load the springs enough to allow my garage door opener to lift the door without having to stop. I was told I had a 3 year warranty. I had been out of town and did not call the in the first 30 days to fix the problem. We are talking about ************************************************************************************************************ $50.00 to fix what they did not do right. Then he told me what "What the company wanted him to do is have a look at it. and tell me there were other issues that caused it. He would just tell them I refused to pay to fix the (other issues) and he would just charge me the $50.00 to load the springs". I told him I refuse to pay to have them fix their mistake. He stormed off in a ****. I am a general contractor when I have a problem on the job that is due to one of my contractors not doing the job correctly, either the subcontractor or I fix the problem at my own expense. It is called integrity. The problem is not just that they hide behind a 30 day labor warranty when they talk about a 3 year warranty, it is that the tech literally told me the companies scheme to rip me off!

Thank you for your review. I wanted to state the facts. The garage door had a different issue happen 30 days after the repair that we did was done. The new issue is not the same as the issue we repaired originally. We offered to repair the door for $200 on 2 different trips. The last technician was told that your neighbor and his ***** were going to fix the door.

The technicians were fine but they came out about two months ago and couldnt figure out what was wrong at firsteventually decided it was the sensors and replaced themcharging us for the service call as well as the materials to install. About 5 weeks later we started having problems again so I called them back out. They charged us another $50 service charge to tell us that they had a bad wiring connection with the sensors that they themselves installed but would not waive the $50 service charge. Further more they charged an additional $100 to figure out whats wrong with it even though they didnt use any more materials for it. When I called to complain she said its just policy even though it was plainly a faulty job they had done-since it was more than 30 days that I told them (about 60). She also couldnt tell me how the $100 charge to inspect it was different than the $50 service fee so evidently its a $150 fee no matter what which isnt transparent. Very disappointed in how they handled it.

The door panels do not match, and was not mentioned until I noticed it. Stated this is normal they change design ever 1.5 years, ours is 3 years old. Never called to let me know they were on order, or they would not match. Never showed up Friday as scheduled had to call to find out they were on order and his truck broke down. Very disappointed. The supports in the back do not line up.

Terrible terrible communication. Would schedule a repair time but never came nor called so we would call and wait and wait. First called on July 10 finally completely fixed on 31st hopefully. Began repairs with a broken spring and finally both replaced plus rollers and cable and tuneup. Second technician was good but he was here till 10 oclock one night.

Well, should have read the reviews before I called. Very nice guy (****) showed up on time. I had called to have a belt replaced on a craftsman garage door opener. He immediately put one of their stickers on our door before even looking at it?. I explained what the problem was (belt was shredding) & he proceeded to start checking everything else to do with the door. I reiterated that I was just looking to have the belt replaced & he stated that he had to do a full inspection per company rules. After about ******************************** all the things that supposedly needed to be done, all except the belt had been done recently so I knew this is where the upsell began, I said I didnt want all that done as he showed me a $219.00 charge for general inspection. I actually laughed out loud and told him he better make some calls as that wasnt going to happen. He went outside furiously texting someone. After 15 mins he said it would be between 400 and 500 dollars. I said nope it wont try one more time. After another 10 minutes he came back and said ok it will $329. I asked if that was the total and he said no it would be the service call on top of that ++. I stopped him & said that I was told the $50 service call was to be removed if we did the work. I asked how much the belt was and was told they only replace the entire rail system not just the belt. I asked how much that was and he said 300 something. I showed him the belt cost ($89) from multiple suppliers and his response was per our company rules we only replace the rail and belt. Basically what he was telling me was they were too lazy to remove & replace the belt, changing the rail would be much easier for them and much more expensive for me. I then asked who was in charge at his office because I wanted to call them to discuss this. His reponse dictated the end result.. I was told noone theyre basically an internet company, there office is just a call centre! I paid the 50 & sent him on his way, ****** !!

*********************** came to look at my door and gave me an estimate of $152. plus, change and never explained the service call was added in. Poor communication, left with a **** and swore he'd call the police for theft of services. Bad attitude. Called the company, paid over the phone and arranged for another technician so hoping they'll be better.

On 7/7/2023 I called OGD of *********, **. I asked about having someone fix my broken spring on my garage door. The lady I spoke with was very nice and told me it would be Monday between 4-6pm, but a technician would be at my house to fix my door. Fast forward to 7/10/2023 the technician arrived and surveyed my door an assessed that only one spring was broken, but the other would also eventually break so I should replace both. So I agreed and while he was typing some information on his phone, he advised me that he doesn't do work after 4pm and didn't have the springs with him anyways. The he proceeded to tell me it would be Wednesday or Thursday before he could get back to work on them and the cost would be $675.00 for repairs. Clearly I am not a OH door technician, but I paid less than $900.00 for an entirely new door and labor in 2017. I also ****** searched the springs I needed, and they were a hundred dollars for them both. $575.00 for labor is a rip off and this business needs to be put on notice for ripping people off. Additionally, I still was asked to pay the $50.00 service fee that was supposed to be waived.

*** replaced my broken springs in November 2022 (6 months ago). The spring broke again. The warranty is 5 years. However, the catch is it must be the same tech that performed the original work has to perform the warranty work. I call OGD on Saturday morning for an appointment. They sent out a tech that afternoon. The tech stated that he had the part but would have to charge me for parts and labor and could not honor the warranty since he was not the original repair tech. The original tech is book through Tuesday and would try to get out late Tuesday or early Wednesday. The moral of the story is that each tech is an individual contractor and OGD is just a dispatch service that claims no ownership to the repair/warranty. I will not do business with this outfit again and I recommend other consumers avoid OGD as well. It is not worth the hassle!
