My husband was looking for Mobile Family ** in ******. He couldnt find it and stopped by Fun Town RV to ask for directions. They said they didnt know where that was , but they could fix the ** right away. He was excited to find a repair shop that could take it that day. I was not happy because they played scummy sales games when we were looking for an **. And, of course they knew where that repair shop was 5 miles up the road. Fun Town charged him $700 for a $300 repair they did in one day. A simple You Tube search will show that the 2021 ************ has a design flaw with the refrigerator. There is a fuse behind the *** You actually have to remove the *** So, every reputable repair service replaces that fuse with a more common one and extends the wire to around the front where it can be easily replaced. I called to make sure that for $700 they had made the proper repair. They said they couldnt do it. They very well could have. They just didnt want to. The Fun Town RV in ****** is not reputable repair shop. I will be sending this to the BBB. They wont care, but Ill feel better. I knew better than to go with a big chain. That is why I wanted my husband to go to a mom and pop shop. Shame on you, Fun Town.Business Response

The customer recently spoke with *** *******, our Service Manager, and expressed appreciation for how quickly he addressed the repair. During the conversation, the customer mentioned they would be removing their review and accepted a $200 discount. At the time of the call, the customer was satisfied with the resolution and happy with the outcome.

Bought a Heartland Travel Trailer. Had several problems that started with the fridge!! It never did work called for over a year with no resolution. Paid for several people to look at it. The entire trailer was wired wrong and almost caught on fire twice.Business Response

We bought our retirement ** a ******** 3100. We discovered an issue in july 2023. Filed a report with ******** on November ****** about Furion stove not staying lit. Returned the trailer twice for recalls since then, and stove was checked for thermocoupler issue. The work done on icebox wire recall (second recall) was done and undercarriage of kitchen slide was left shoddy and not as we brought it in. wires were left hanging and floor tile torn in two places. we brought it back to the dealership in ****** on Wednesday September *******. As of today October 2, the trailer hasn't been touched. The service department has done shoody work and ******** has also been in touch with them about this issue. I purchased a new camper in November 2023. This was a brand new camper, not a used unit. Immediately had a list of issues most of them small so I repaired myself rather than dealing with dealership and having to tow 2 hours one way. We used the camper 4-5 times between November 2023 to May 2024. In May the entire upper cabinets fell (with nothing in them) while I was traveling down the road. This caused significant damage inside the trailer. I fought the manufacturer to replace the unit. After not getting anywhere with them I had to go the warranty route. So in all fairness to ******** I initially went after the people that built the camper. Now Ive been battling Fun Towns repair shop in Denton ***** to get the repairs completed. Ive never been apologized to, and have been treated as if its just another camper problem no urgency whatsoever. In fact, the parts were not ordered for weeks. This is after I had fought with manufacturer and they agreed to expedite parts to dealer. That would have been great if the dealership would have ordered parts. I have tried to get that locations store manager to get involved, no luck. Complete trash of an establishment from the purchase to now. The dealer did the initial inspection of damage on 6/12/24. As of 9/20/24 I still have a trashed camper thats less than a year old. They will argue at the time of inspection I was pushing for legal action for replacement with manufacturer. But regardless the parts SHOULD have been ordered then. Its not like it would have cost Fun Town any money to get the parts coming. Now Im against time with prime selling season for Fall, and cant sell it because its still trashed. So likely I will have to sit on the camper all winter and take less money next spring. I am rejecting this response because:The parts are taking a long time because of fun towns failure to send the manufacturer the needed information in a decent amount of time. I have had to push to get anything done. I am apparently expected to just accept the fact a brand new camper fell apart and has been not usable for more months than Ive owned the unit. Fun town has not shown ANY concern or willingness to make this right on their own. Horrible place of business.

" He is going to drop off the trailer Wednesday so we can start working on it with the parts we have. His urgency is that he has someone ready to give him cash to buy the trailer from him.
I told him the other parts are on a different shipment but we have most everything needed and will work on what we can in the mean time. I did advise him that even though Heartland says they will pay ** amount of time, it will take longer as they are not paying the requested amount. He offered to call them and talk for more time to get it done faster but I told him it won't help and that's just the way warranty works, and that I just wanted him to be aware it will take longer than they state.Initial Complaint

Lied to us from the get go. Treated us with poor customer service. *** the sales manager said it would be cleaned, inspected and repaired if any issues were found. The solar charging system has never worked and we are unable to use the air conditioner. It was not ready to use when picked up and we had to get it ready ourselves.Business Response

.We have addressed the customers' concerns. *********** manager and shop ******* both went to their residence to inspect and repair/fix any issues. It was discovered the issues were two-fold; 1. Lack of understanding of how to properly set the coach up and use it. In which, our service manager and shop ******* tried to educate them. ******* was unreceptive to any education they provided as he refused to be outside with my service manager and shop ******* as they were there to help. However, his wife did remain with my service manager and shop *******; 2. The root of their issue is a power source issue in which they do not have a 30 amp power source to run all functions of the ** at their residence.
The service team and I have done all we can do to help educate them, and help them in any we can. We have also had many communications with them via phone concerning this. We had offered to return to his residence a second time to go over everything again, but this invitation was refused.Initial Complaint

I had two slide toppers installed approximately in feb or march. One of the slide toppers was holding water to the point neighbors thought we had a leak. On or around June 10th, it ripped away from the Rv. I notified Funtown Conroe of the problem. They said they couldnt get me in until September. I use a Rv guy named ******* and he told me thought they didnt tighten the springs enough and thats why it was holding water. I didnt want to wait that long to get it fixed, I so told them to replace the part, Ill pay for the labor to fix it. I waited till mid July and heated nothing. Then the rail ripped away from the Rv , causing the spring to unwind scarring my wife and dog. They tried to charge me for the part ($433), and they pay for the labor(bringing it to them). I said no, thats not what we agreed. So they said they waiting to see if the manufacturer will pay for the part. And Ive been waiting. So I called the manufacturer, and according to them, theres been no claim (they go by the vin #). The thing was on less then three months. They are either lying about fixing it, or they wont. Either way, Im done with them. Dont buy from them. Youve been warned!Business Response

New trailer only used 6 times., Needed new Roof. Wall Seam, Drip Rails not connected/sealed at joints (Why there is water damage near the window), Bath door Jamb coming off (Not even connected), Vent In bathroom not connected. One s**** was attached to nothing, Never used before Microwave, Door does not open, S**** cover on rear door coming off, Vent on water heater fell off, Front door rubbing on frame, Lights flicker when plugging in to a ***., Nite shade broken from line, Now water damage on here??? BECAUSE THERE WAS NO WATER DAMAGE WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF ON MARCH 18TH. NOW ITS MAY 25, OVER 30 DAYS OF RAIN!On May 25 they gave me a Bill for $3.484.66 for many things that happened while it had been there or since the roof was completed. Telling me that the Bowing walls are not a problem. They were not there before! Charging me for the Bathroom door jamb coming off. It was not a problem until the roof got replaced. Door cover has been coming off since I purchased the Trailer. The lights flickering when plugging the *** in. They are saying that the battery is bad, the battery was less than 2yrs old. It has been at their yard almost 12 months with no charge. Of course, the battery is going bad. It was not a problem before they replaced the roof. They want to charge me $160 for the table cover that has basically completely detached from the table. It was not like that when I brought it there. Then $769 for some water damage by the refrigerator. It was not there when I brought it there. The refrigerator has hardly been used, not sure where that water came from. The invoice said the vent lid was hit by something. IT WAS HIT BY HAIL. It has hailed there, and the crack was not there when I brought it there or I would have mentioned it or covered or taped it. And it is not on the invoice but now there is water damage by the window due to water getting into it while it has been sitting in their parking lot for months since I brought it there. Travel trailer purchased from Fun Town RV at ******* location and possession taken 03/14/24, was assured the registration documents needed to obtain license plate would be "sent by certified mail and received in ten (10) days." Continued to call, text and email after the ten (10) days had passed and was continually told "I will get the tracking number and call you back." That did not occur. A lengthy conversation with many Fun Town employees ensued, my concern was the late fee that would be assessed by DPS. A number of employees assured me Fun Town RV would reimburse me for any penalties (I do have that in writing.) The registration documents were finally received 04/17/24. On 05/03/24, I provided a copy of the registration receipt that included a sales tax penalty fee and provided that proof to Fun Town RV. I have contacted Fun Town RV a number of times, sent several emails and they continue to tell me that the reimbursement will be made a priority and taken care of that day, and I will be contacted with a tracking number later in the day. Today is 06/26/24, I have yet to receive a tracking number or any additional information from anyone at Fun Town RV. I did provide notice to Fun Town RV that a complaint would be filed with the BBB if this wasn't rectified. I have provided Fun Town RV with more than ample time to reach out to me and also to have received the reimbursement. Therefore, I wish to make a record with the BBB regarding Fun Town RV's lack of timely handling this situation and their lack of taking care of the situation that was created by Fun Town RV.Business Response

I purchased a Kingsport 299 RLI Metal/TT on 02/03/24 from Funtown RV in ****** *** and it is falling apart in front of my eyes. I am just mind blown that this is happening to a brand-new RV. RV Repairs:1. Oven will not light from day one, the oven front glass shattered with minimal force closing it while trying to get the oven to light.2.Kitchen Sink connects to black water tank.3.Heater doesnt blow through the vents due to incorrect installation of ducking.4.Leaking at roof down wall when it rains in the living room area the walls and insulation are wet. 5. When fireplace is turned on the settings switch & beeps as you walk.6. Breaker Box miss labeled.7. Black water tank always says full I just paid my third note of $569 of a 15yr contract. the ink isn't even dry on the contract and there are significate issues. I finally got Funtown to get it in to inspect it (5/6/24) to see what they say *** or *** not be covered with warranty. I feel like a RV that's 94 days old should be completely covered no questions asked. I didn't buy a used RV because I didn't want the headache of having issues. These issues are going to take time to fix thoroughly, time that I am going to be stuck paying a note for something I can't even use. I don't feel like that is fair at all. Since putting my RV in for warranty repair on 5/6/24 they advised me that they would call me in three days. No call I called them on Friday 5/17/24 and they told me they were evaluating one issue at a time and they havent gotten past the first issue yet and thats finding where its leaking from. They advised me they would call me next week by Wednesday 5/22/24 they never called again. Today Im contacting the BBB as Im at a loss and feel like this RV is faulty from the start and I deserve a new RV that I went there intending to buy or refund my down payment and my three payments. Its just bad business to say one thing and do another. This is a brand new RV! Please help! Thank you for your time.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because Its been over a month that my brand new RV has been in their shop, with no end in site. I had to tell them that there was moisture damage from the leak going down the wall. This RV is defective and the water damage will never really be fixed. I bought a brand new RV so that I would t have to deal with any issues and I would know first hand it was taken care of right. However I received a faulty product that I am responsible for paying for, for the next 14 years and 8 months. This is flat out wrong and should be illegal to get away with. I have written the manufacture twice , left review , written the dealer and contacted the BBB. Fun Town RV are crooks with zero integrity, I waited a long time to purchase this luxury item and its the worst decision Ive ever made. God willing I find a way to make this right. $569 a month for ************************************************** front of my eyes, not due to my negligence but the manufacturers ability to provide a quality product and a dealer willing to stand behind the junk product instead of standing for Integrity .
