Gamestop is a company that enjoys lying, stealing, and scamming their customers regardless of how loyal their customers are which is why if I could give ******************** a zero, I would. Actually, I wish I could give negative stars. Gamestop is refusing to honor a protection plan that I purchased from them. They insisted on replacing my new limited edition Splatoon switch OLED with a refurbished switch OLED. The issue with this is that when I originally purchased my switch OLED and the protection plan, I was told that as long as my plan was still active, I could replace my console with another console of equivalent value. This means that I would have to be given not only a new console but another limited edition console. Now, I am not unreasonable so I know that they cannot give me another limited edition Switch OLED since ******** doesn't have one out at this time but I at least expected a regular new Switch OLED. That's what would be fair IF Gamestop cared about the agreements they make with their customers. After talking to employees in-store and over the phone, I see Gamestop does not. I used to prefer shopping at Gamestop for most if not all of my gaming needs but after this terrible experience, I will not be shopping at Gamestop again. Gamestop is not the only store that sells this type of goods and in most cases, they sell the same products at a more expensive price. Amazon, ******** and even ******** themselves offer what I need at more affordable prices. At the end of the day, Gamestop is a company that does not respect their customers as human beings instead, they see their customers as potential profit and that's why they do not care about how they treat their customers. ******************** is willing to scam me for $40, and I'm sure they'll scam you out of your hard-earned money as well. Be careful if you do decide to shop here because they will take your money in a heartbeat and they'll fight tooth and nail to not give you anything for it despite the promises they make.

I purchased a 150 digital gift card yesterday and it has been a complete disaster. When i try to redeem my digital ps card on the app it says its been redeemed and when I try on the console it says it can't be redeem and to try later. I contacted Gamestop to be told contact Playstation. I contacted Playstation who was able to see the card was not activated and to contact Gamestop. After calling to be told theres nothing that can be done is ridiculous. This was 150 card that was placed on my gamestop account and to be told theres nothing that can be done when it was not my error just is downright horrendous.

If I could leave a zero I would! Lets start with the gamestop in ************* where the employee in there told me 3 times after asking if I order this console itll be here by friday(ordered on Tuesday) oh yes for sure I said are you sure?! I promise you no later then Friday ok so I ordered it get a email Thursday tracking says Sunday the 19th. (Thats not Friday) so I went to GameStop website tried to find a number found email wrote 3 emails for someone to call never received a email. So I called that GameStop he got me the number call customer service the first guy I explain to Im going out of state wont be back until Sunday the console will just sit out there thats why I made sure with Winchester GameStop before ordering(first lie) so I request a refund for the package to be sent back. No problem you will get ur refund in ***** hours from today(Friday the 19th)asked him 3 times are you sure? Are you positive?(lie #2)refund never came called Sunday talked to a lady. She promised me Ill get it Thursday the 25th. (Lie #3) she had to put the second intercept order in because the first didnt go through. So I get an email Tuesday that my package will be here Wednesday 24th. So I call the lady tells me ya the other two lied you wont get a refund until next thursday( which is two weeks after I order the console!!!!!)tried/asked for a supervisor/manager/someone higher up. Yeah Im not doing that Im telling you what they would tell you thats what it is so I kept asking denied everytime. So I asked are all yalls phone calls recorded yes ***** said ok good because when I do talk to someone I want them to listen to them and listen to me getting lied to twice on the phone and her deny me any access to get my issue resolved which it still wasnt!!! So not only do I not have my refund for another week and/or my package. They took 30 seconds to take it out of my bank c account but its an arm and leg to get YOUR MONEY BACK. Have more details out of characters

I wish I could give a zero star review on this. GameStop is a complete joke. Ordered a Xbox One X for EA College Football 25. Got the deluxe version to have early access, but the system didnt come in time. For all the trouble I got a $10 off code to use online when I told thr guy I preordered the game in store. This is 4th time Ive had an issue with them. Im done spending my money with this clown show of a business.

Placed a pre-order for college football last month, the capturing detail for me was 3 days early access, which was laid on me by the store manager. I even paid more to be able to ensure access to the game 3 days early. I got verbal confirmation from Dominia before finishing the transaction, even adding in another preorder to help the business as the customer service I had received was great to me.However, after seeing conflicting reports about early access time, I wanted to double check the dates and finish paying my preorder so I wouldnt have to stand in line and finish paying. I went in this past Saturday to pay and see when I could pick it up. **** at the register helped me pay and let me know that I did have early access, and then let me know that he wasnt quite sure when I could get it and told me to call back on Sunday. Which I did, in which the individual on the phone (possibly *******) told me that it was in fact the 16th for early access which I again had paid for.Well I went in today, the 16th, and let **** know I was there to pick up my preorder. In which I was informed that I would have to wait until the 19th which is as in fact the regular release date for the game. Its one thing for a newer employee to be confused and not know so I in no way blame **** as he did the vest he could in a situation that was not of his making. However, for store leadership to intentionally mislead me in order to drum up business is not cool. This was something that was really important to me as I spent my hard earned money on this product through Gamestop only for them to not deliver on what was promised.I used to be a PRO memeber, not anymore. That was the last straw, Ill gladly take my business elsewhere

Gamestop is not honoring the warranty I purchased with my son's ninetendo switch. I purchased the game in Dec 2023. Ordered it online to be shipped. Game would have arrived after Christmas so I cancelled the order immediately reordered for pick up at the *********** store. It did arrive before the holiday. In March or 2024 the controllers stopped working. I stopped at the *************************. Clerk told me controllers are not covered under warranty. I had to purchase new ones. I did it cost me ***** plus tax. Still had the same issue after the purchase. In April I went to the *********** store. They wanted me to purchase the annual ************** did Ibthinkbthatvwas 50 bucks or so. They paired the controllers to the console. It worked for a short while, then the issue started happing again. In April or May I stopped atbthe *****, ** store. The clerk said my gamestop acct history shows a purchase and return. He demanded I show proof of purchase and refused to assist me. I showed the debit withdrawl from my bank acct in Dec of the purchase transaction. Also my gamestop acct history shows a purchase was made. But the stores are refusing to help me. I AM OUT SO MUCH MONEY AND TIME. My son does not have a systems that works properly. I will never again deal with this company because of how they treat paying customers. I wish I could rate them lower than 1 star.

I went to GameStop at *********************** to ***** cord for my MacBook and asked the black sales woman if GameStop carried the cord that I had with me. She said "no" and the man from ******* over talked her and said yes they did. Once I got home and opened the package it was not what I wanted. Upon today,6/11/24 in trying to return the item. The English salesman said that they can't return unopened items but he failed to mention it yesterday on 6/11/24 when he over talked the black lady. There are no visible signs posted anywhere in the store. He wanted to tell me about what people did years ago which had nothing to do with me. I want my refund back of $15.96. They deserve a "0."

Worse customer service experience Ive ever had. My husband purchased a PS4 that said it would be here before Christmas. It was getting close so we called and they guy said that it hasnt left the warehouse yet and they shopping was backed up so I canceled the ordered and the guys said it would be refunded. Two weeks later it shows up to my house so it wasnt cancelled. I have been trying to return for 5 MONTHS. I have called over 20 times. They keep telling me they sent a fed ex label but I am not getting it nor is my husband. I asked that they sent it to both of us. Then I even provided a third email last time and Im still not receiving a label. They wont let me pay to return it or send the label to my mail since something in their system isnt working. Its an absolute joke. 5 months waiting for a label is insane. Today I called again and they said Im s*** out of luck if I dont get the label again once they resend. I have never dealt with such incompetence in my life. Management wont help either. They say the same thing.

Spent over $400 on sportscards and they never arrived. Loss Prevention sent me a photo of location of delivery, which was not my home. Their response "call the police. We will not refund this order". Then, they turned off my ability to access my account and review the purchase. Absolutely deplorable customer service! I will never do business with GameStop again!

I ordered two games for my older son whose birthday is coming up: (1) Kingdom Come and (2) Metroid Prime. I received a ***** package yesterday that contained only the first game. The second game was missing. I contacted GameStop, and their immediate response was that they performed an "investigation" and concluded that ***** "delivered both games." I went back and forth with GameStop a few times explaining that while I received the ***** package, the package was missing the second game. GameStop customer service, which at some point appeared to be sending automated AI-style responses, repeatedly responded with the line that I need to contact ***** to file a claim because ***** confirmed that the order was delivered. How is ***** supposed to know whether there was one game or two games in the package? The fault is clearly with the GameStop store that shipped me one game instead of both games. The whole experience made me feel like I was dealing with an extremely shady company who was purposefully trying to pass the buck to the courier. Obviously, I contacted my credit card company and reported the fraud.
