When Asset Living assumed management of the complex where I live, tenants immediately were thrust into a financial SNAFU because Asset's utilities procedure differs from that of the prior management company. Rather than simply forgiving this to demonstrate to tenants that Asset supports them and isn't willing to hold them liable for a bureaucratic change, Asset has continued to dun tenants, even threatening them with eviction should they not fork up the money. Although management has been contacted repeatedly about this, and has been repeatedly informed the issue will be settled, Asset continues to dun tenants. It's like Asset wants to squeeze every single nickel out of tenants--who have little to no power to even get management to listen to them or to even be coherent in regard to this issue. Clearly, communication between the local manager and the Asset corporate office is either garbled or nonexistent. Had Asset been responsible in purchasing the property from the previous company, Asset would have been able to glean cooperation from that company. Instead, these people are going for Easy Street and bullying tenants for often small amounts of money.

Horrible. My personal garage has malfunctioned for over a year. Had a leak in the garage that leaked water and ceiling residue all over my truck. **** was not fixed for 8 days and I had to complain in person because they refuse to answer the phone. Someone else is opening my garage with their remote all night. No contractor sent out to fix the garage even though its a safety concern. Scheduled time for contractor to resurface bathtub no work was done after I displaced myself all day. Inquired why the work wasnt done. One person said the contractor was never on site which was a lie. The other said they dont have a key to my apt which I already asked the girl in the front office earlier and she said they had a key. They never even called to say they dont have a key. Even more alarming they had a key a month ago when they sent a contractor to replace my air filter. That contractor walked in with a key, no knock, no announcing themselves. And now they cant find the key. either the contractor still has it or they lost it. Either way I want my locks changed since the key is lost. They are refusing to change the locks and requesting me to just make a spare key for them. Another safety concern. I wont stay where my safety and childrens safety are at risk. This company is negligent and poorly trained. Between the garage and lost key are major safety concerns. Someone needs to get back to me asap, your front office is useless altogether.

I do NOT recommend ******************* apartments by First Communities. After a long weekend in the car moving from ** to **, and me being disabled, we walked into a FILTHY apartment w/roaches, cobwebs, and gross carpet (the carpet had not been vacuumed or steam cleaned). This is supposed to be a "Luxury Apt" and rent starts at $2000 a month for 1 bed/1 bath. They told us they've never seen roaches, and that the apt would be "thoroughly cleaned". (you would think this was some type of violation in the time of COVID) Save yourself, your friends, and your family from dealing w/this place, and their rude & condescending manager, ******. They are refusing to compensate us for the cleaning we were forced to do ourselves (their cleaning lady went home sick). We worked on this for a WEEK.

Awful management. The apartment has been flooded (due to waste water coming from the unit above) and never fixed, yet they continue to increase rent exponentially. Went from 1,230/month base to 1,600/month in less than three years and its just becoming more dilapidated. *********************** and her staff are the worst. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. Spend your hard-earned dollars on a better community. The maintenance folks are pretty good but the leasing office is a scam. This review is for First Communities property in ******, ** - ********************** (********************).

Unprofessionally and Unacceptable I applied for a 2bed room 2 bathroom apartment at Ascend ************** was approved, given a document with my unit number (101) was told to pay the required amount to move in ($2,000) and a move in date of 7/31/2023. I have not been allowed to move in. They keep moving my move in date from 7/31 to 8/7 to 8/16. With excuses from water damage to the apartment being dirty I visited the unit today it was spotless ************************* said it was out of her control with no explanation as to why they are holding my money and not allowing me to move in. The home I am in is being sold I cannot turn off power where I am and cannot turn on power at the new apartment. I am about to be homeless with a four year old because this company will not render services for what I have paid. I filed a formal complaint with the Attorney General.

Lived in our apartment complex for almost 4 years. Since First Communities took over from ******** *** who complex has gone downhill. Facilities are not maintained, drug users are not evicted, and management is unprofessional and not willing to help resolve issues.

So far not a great experience and I have not even moved yet. I would give this company no stars if I could. Long story short I would rather give the details to someone in corporate who can do something about this. The Manager at one of the properties in ************** ** is trash! They are so friendly and nice to get you through the door and as soon as that deposit is paid all customer service goes out the window. I have been lied to and bullied. I was supposed to be moving back in July. However the assistant manager gave away my apartment then lied about it and changed the apartment on my application without saying anything. When I confronted her she blamed it on me I let it go. Then I was told I would have to wait a month for renovations. I am homeless with no family or friends in GA so thats a problem. I figured it out and made it work. 4 days before move day she tells me theres a delay and it will be after September 9th so another month.. when I ask what the delay is I'm told the current tenants didnt move out when she expected. Again concealing the truth until I ask. If that is the case why wasnt I notified weeks ago so that I can make proper arrangements. I just lost my grandmother 2 days ago and I am paying for funeral arrangements I cannot keep affording hotels with my two children. Saying sorry for the inconvenience over and over is not enough! I am ******. This is so unprofessional a huge inconvenience. If I were told at the time of applying that the apartment will be ready in late September I would not have paid $1500 for a deposit! *********** management! If cooperate sees this please respond back to my emails, phone calls, and faxes. This is urgent. And I will not stop until something is resolved. And dont tell me there is nothing you can do because there always is something you can do. Put me in another unit temporarily. Let me stay in MY unit with no furniture until they are done. Move me to a sister community since you have over 200 communities.

Highly disgusting property, trash everywhere, dog p*** on the steps in the breezeway for days upon days. Its almost impossible to walk the stairways due to the filth, Ive already made several complaints to management, still no resolution, only solution is to clean it up yourself. Stains everywhere, parking garage is beyond disgusting & filthy, lift gate to enter the garage is always broken, which is very dangerous & unsafe.
