2 starsWe purchased a David Weekly home in December 2024. The week before closing, we had many unfinished issues. These issues were promised to be completed before closing. The day before closing the issues were not completed. We decided to close with written email stating the issues. we were told that all the issues will be repaired within two weeks. It took him a month or more to get it all fixed. To this day, we have issues on both sides of the house with neighbors, retaining water. David Weekly suggesting us to mitigate that issue ourselves under our cost. we don’t agree with that. We feel that’s very bad business. We also have an issue with hot water for our main sink in our kitchen. They suggested for us to buy an additional hot water heater. These are unacceptable terms and we will not accept them from a home that cost us a half $1 million. we’ve tried to discuss this with the warranty representative. We had a conversation with his direct boss. All we hear are reasons why they can’t do something or why it’s not their fault. We are tired of the excuses and wanted to complain about this to a higher level, but unfortunately, there’s no information to go to the corporate office. we will never purchase a David Weekly home and we certainly will tell our friends and family not to do the same and will continue to inform the public on social media how disappointed we are with the David Weekly home.Review fromGary D

1 starThis is my 8th home purchase and our first David Weekley. Our current neighborhood is situated South of *************** and is a blend of David Weekley and the builder ******. We choose a ** due to better layout / design. I was asked to leave a 5-star review (I'd like it back please) when we were excited to get our keys and it was downhill from there as the discoveries began. It has been a nightmare as many of the subtractors they used cut corners. From halving only half of our ceiling being insulated, to painting the exterior in the rain (the ** told me it was "special paint") to no concrete in fence posts to several rooms only having a prime coat (it looked white at first glance). In the end, my warrantee punch list exceeded 20 items. Hey, things get missed, I understand that but here is the difference:DW broke ground on our neighbor's house a few months after we moved in. During its completion I (my office is in the front of our home and I look out on to the street) noted the presence of DWs site manager ***** a total of TWICE during the construction ... He speaks as if he's never lifted a hammer in his life much less managed the construction of a house ... to the contrary, the Ichijo site manager says good morning to me almost every day, has coffee with me in my garage and asks me if there is anything they need to be aware of as they complete the built across the street. They are on site 2-3 times EVERY DAY. DW's, *****, was a joke to work with and was the failure to the entire project. I have brought this to **'s attention on multiple occasions, but my comments were met with indifference. This is the experience of all my neighbors as ******* name has become known as the ** word" and should not be spoken in front of children.$760,000 is better spent elsewhere. We are looking to move by this time next year ... ** will not be considered.Review fromJoseph A

We haven't even finalized our Contract yet but can't help leaving an appreciation note for **** ******, PM for the ******, **. Going through a difficult time but **** has been beyond helpful - empathetic, customer-need centric and an all-round fantastic person! Because of **** and how he's worked with us to allayed out fears, we are definitely building with David Weekley and look to a pleasant experience throughout the building process and beyond.Weekley Homes, LLC

2 starsI am writing to express my ongoing frustrations and concerns regarding the home we purchased from David Weekley Homes in October 2022. Unfortunately, our experience has been less than satisfactory, and I feel compelled to share the issues we have encountered. From the very beginning, we have faced several significant problems with our home. The floors needed to be redone, and we experienced multiple leaks inside the house. More recently, our outside water valve has had multiple repairs. Each warranty request we have opened has been a source of stress and frustration, as David Weekley has sent out third-party companies to address the issues, and these companies have provided subpar ********** December 2024, we had our outside water valve repaired through the warranty by ************. They claimed to have completed the repair, but they left our yard in a complete mess after several scheduling issues getting them to our home. Now, at the end of April, the water pressure valve is continuously leaking again, causing an outrageous water bill with SAWS. When we contacted David Weekley Homes, I was told by ****** that they agreed we should not be experiencing another leak after just 4 months and would do everything in their power to make it right. Just hours later, I received a call from ******** at David Weekley who informed me that we are now outside our warranty timeline and must handle the repairs ourselves. We were advised to deal directly with ************ since they made the repair just four months ago. However, ************ has been completely unhelpful and told us to call our own plumber if David Weekley does not pay for the repair.I am incredibly disappointed with the level of service we have received, especially considering the price we paid for our brand new home. I believed in the David Weekley name and reputation, but this experience has left me with one of the biggest regrets of my life. Beautiful floor plan and wonderful salesman.Review fromLEOBALDO P

We feel very blessed to have a new home at **********, *******. We live in ** and had been planning the move for a couple of years. We looked at several communities and builders, eager to improve on our previous experience in terms of location, home feel, quality and service, while staying within our budget. When we knocked on David Weekley's door, we could immediately feel the difference; Tiky was very gracious in understanding what we were looking for, presenting all the options available and helping us find the path to get there. Tiky with that amazing smile kept the door opened with the same attention, friendliness and professionalism she showed us on the first day. Understanding how David Weekley builds homes, the attention to detail and getting to know the team behind it all gave us the confidence to say this is the company we want to build our new home with. We really appreciated meeting ***** with his knowledge and patience in guiding us through the building process step by step and once completed, it was very nice to meet *** from the Warranty team who came along and gave us great peace of mind that our new home will receive the attention it deserves. Last but not least, we enjoyed the convenience of the ** app which gave us easy access to the progress of our new home. We are very happy with the decision we made, we finally have our beautiful home, we love the location and story behind it. We are very grateful to the entire team for accommodating our needs. Our sincere thanks to the entire David Weekley Home family.Weekley Homes, LLC

2 starsDavid Weekley is a horrible builder. Everything they do is cheap and they could care less about the homeowner. They want to do the bare minimum abd then turn it over to the ****Review fromDominicDetore

5 starsMy wife and I just purchased our forever home from David Weekley and could not be more pleased with our experience! The quality of the build construction and floorplan cannot be matched. Z and her builder Zach helped us feel reassured and confident going forward with one of the biggest decisions of our lives. If you are considering a home in Meyer Ranch, you should strongly consider making David Weekley your first stop.Review fromCarson W

1 starDavid Weekley Homes has very poor craftsmanship and horrible customer service. Our flooring was installed incorrectly among other things and they have refused to fix saying they don’t warranty floors even though it was like that from installation. We were told it would be fixed and they have not yet. I would use caution using them to build your home.Review fromPaula S

1 star2017 home in Rowlett. dealt with many problems interior and exterior due to poor construction and workmanship. David Weekley construction mgr literally cussed us because we wouldnt recommend to friends and family. Now exterior four ft retaining wall wall that holds up elevated lot is collapsing and Weekley says "not our problem" even though they supposedly have ten year structural warranty. I should have read all the negative reviews before we bought this house.Review fromLeticia J

1 starWe purchased a home in Raleigh, NC in the 5401 North community. We had made several calls to ******* **** the warranty manager. He made lots of promises to us prior to closing. He said he would correct the painting issues. He did send a painter out to patch up things. the matter was still not resolved. We hired and painter to made correction. Myself along with several of my neighbors are upset about the puddles of water standing in from of out steeps which leads into our home. The construction was poorly done when it come to landscaping. They laid grass on top of rock with no REAL drainage. Whenever it rains we have a huge issue. The rain water will sit and turn green, which make bugs fester there. when walking on the sidewalk one has to step in the street to pass in order to not walk in nasty muddy water. I was told by Mr. ******* to seek out a landscaper. Why would i need to do that when you all promised to resolve the issue. I was told we are going to add mulch to see if this fix the problem. Well it has not. The much has ran onto the sidewalk as well. It saddens me to know David Weekly Team DONT CARE. The follow up is poor.
