1 starWorst warranty experience!
Bought house in 2017 from David Weekly, the issue of bathroom leak still exists and they keep blaming shower. Same issue they have had in the other bathroom and they forgot to tight the facet inside the wall.
They refuse to fix it blaming the clogging. I will never recommend them to anyone.Review fromShiloh S

2 starsBought a new construction 3-story townhome built by *** in Tampa, Jan 2022. Have had multiple MAJOR issues including roof leak that took multiple times sending contract company out to fix, as well as 2nd floor roof leak due to faulty pipes behind washing machine TWICE. These were large leaks damaging my personal property and requiring 5x7’ size of ceiling dry wall repairs after weeks of drying areas out. I still believe there is damage to floor tiles upstairs they have denied. I should have filed this previously but am doing it now because the other issue that has recurred is the outside coach light by garage was improperly installed and sealed, and has been tripping the breaker when it rains for all outside and downstairs electric since I moved in 2.5yrs ago. The electric contact company ********** has been out no less than 6 times that I have documented and *** has also “fixed” it. Despite me being shown and told the inside is corroded and entire light should be replaced, *** has not complied with this simple repair/request (I have asked previously multiple times for this to be done) and it is now happening AGAIN. I didn’t have electric downstairs for at least 5mos of the first year I lived here…this is Florida, it rains and is humid! This is costing me time, money, and safety to have my downstairs office/fridge/outdoor lighting all out at unpredictable and frequent times (and when breaker trips, it is not able to be flipped back on until it completely dries over days to weeks). Not sure why they won’t simply replace it. At this point I will have it replaced myself with a more reliable company and seek reparations legally if needed. Needless to say, I am beyond disappointed and will NEVER purchase a *** built home again.Review fromt. m.

I moved into my home August 31, 2018 in Jacksonville, Florida. David Weekley installs a cheap air conditioner (*******) unit too small (3 ton) for a 2472 square foot home, resulting in an over-stressed unit and breakdown (blown capacitor x 2).
Now in July, when one depends upon their air conditioner in Florida, it again broke down (blown capacitor). In addition, a valve broke. The ******* part is not available, and would take ~ 10+ business days to get, at the cost of $2000. My choice: repair a too small, over-stressed unit that will continually break down; be without air conditioning for weeks; or install a properly sized unit for $10K, and have air conditioning.
I went for the air conditioning.Weekley Homes, LLC

The homeowner did not contact warranty about this issue until after replacing the HVAC unit, so we did not have an opportunity to inspect or perform repairs.t. m.

There was no need for David Weekley to inspect my unit as they KNEW what unit they placed into my home - a 3 ton for a 2492 square foot home. A simple internet search of multiple sites shows that a 4 ton is what should have been placed in my home. Does David Weekley suggest that I should have sweltered in my home in the middle of July in Florida for them to inspect my unit? and determine what? That capacitor blew (second time in 5 years, due to overworked stress of the system) and valve? And that parts are unavailable for minimum of 14 business days?
As an elderly disabled woman, I cannot live without air conditioning in the July in Florida. As it was, the inside of my home was 90 degrees plus and humidity more than 80%. I was fortunate to be able to get a new unit quickly.Weekley Homes, LLC

The homeowner did not contact us for warranty service on the HVAC system until after they had replaced the HVAC unit. We were disappointed that we were not made aware of the issues and given an opportunity to inspect the system to determine if repairs would be covered by warranty.Review fromPardeep S

1 starComplain regarding Weekly Warranty manager.
I wanted to inform you regarding a situation- we complained to AirCo about our air conditioning not working on Friday. The thermostat was showing 90 and 92 on the first and second floor respectively. The technician came after 5 hrs of filing the complaint to say that the compressor has gone bad and it's the manufacturer fault (wrong filling in the attic by David weekly constructors ). They said they would be able to fix it by Tuesday.
On Sunday at 1.49 pm that I got voicemail from Andreas saying the following - “Hey Andreas from David weekly homes I just wanna make sure you received my text Regarding your AC my distance that could be that for the new part until Tuesday or so so we do the circumstances is give you a per diem so we'll give you $150 per night at a hotel and $25 per person per day for food and things like that nature 1 50 a day for hotel , then $25 per person for food food And then , when you're working team manager will contact you that on Tuesday when they get back in If you have any questions, give us call. Thanks so much.…”
I confirmed with him that we will be paid by Cheque at fixed rate and no receipts required. The condition in the house is not as per living standards and we should be given compensation as we did not pay so much for the house to be having this situation.
Today we followed up on the service request and got to know that the part will take 5-10 days to come in and we will no longer be compensated as the "temperature has dropped ". I demand compensation and explanation for this as the house is still very hot the thermostat reads 81 with the window open too. With no ventilation, one cannot cook on the kitchen or even work. I am highly disappointed with the response and the behavior of our warranty manager trying to justify it and asking for receipts etc.Review fromVishal G

1 starPlease DO NOT buy homes from this builder. My roof started leaking after first rain. I called and texted builder, no replies and phone call was going on "Busy". I tried to call warranty manager, who applied bandaid on the problem and left. It rains again the second time, roof starts leaking again. I tried calling, no responses from anyone anymore.
We are talking about BRAND NEW HOME here. Water leak is unacceptable in new homes, especially when Warranty fixes it and then problem re-occur. I am going to file an official complaint and pursue legal case against builder.
PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUILDER!!!Review fromKathleen M

5 starsWe purchased a David Weekley home in Peoria, Arizona in July 2023. I had looked up the company on the BBB site and was nervous because of the negative feedback that I saw. But realizing that typically people who are unsatisfied take the time to leave feedback, I took a chance, because the house was beautiful, and promised myself I would leave feedback (good or bad) once we settled in the home. We bought a quick sell home that was already finished and had a beautiful view. The buying process went fine and the builder was prompt in addressing the issues that we found. Once we moved in, we found additional issues. Working with the warranty rep, Mario L, was wonderful, and he often went above and beyond to get the issues resolved. Coordinating with multiple trades and companies -across multiple homes, it can take a little time to schede repairs, etc., but within 6 months, every single issue was resolved. The house is beautiful and we are very happy with our David Weekley home!Review fromChris H

1 starI'll start off this review by saying, my wife and I made some bad decisions on our new home purchase with David Weekley. The worst being picking them in the first place, but some others were on us. However, I have never dealt with such poor customer service, such poor communication, and such a lack of flexibility in any business dealing, be it personal or business.
We had several issues where the common response from Weekly and their partners was always "there's nothing we can do" Our home build was delayed roughly 4 months from original due date. Ok, that happens and we were fine. Then when it was ready they set the closing date immediately before Christmas. We asked it get pushed back so we could enjoy the holidays and then close on house and move. Response-Close has to be December "there's nothing we can do". Then we discovered two large business centers being built in very close proximity to our house. Ok, that will happen, but we asked for some discount from a high lot fee extra we paid. "there's nothing we can do". Then on final house inspection the main dining room light fixture handing from the ceiling had incorrect orientation. Asked to fix "there's nothing we can do". Then due to timing we had a horrible interest rate provided by Weekly partner lender. Right when they had signs in our neighborhood offering 3 points less than where we were at. We couldn't read anything in that offer where we didn't qualify. Repeated answer from mortgage company "there's nothing we can do". Well, we couldn't go through with the deal. We felt it was a losing proposition and if they had met us halfway on even one issue, we likely would have closed the deal. To great personal expense to us we cancelled the contract. One e-mail from them since and they haven't given one penny back even as a concession that things just went wrong with the deal. I will not never purchase one of their houses, I will never ever communicate with anyone associated with this horrible company again.Review fromConnor S

1 starWe built our new construction home with david Weekley in 2022. Two months prior to closing we noticed that the house would never cool to a comfortable temperature. I notified them of the issue and they claimed it was because there workers were coming in and out throughout the day. Fast forward to closing and the issue still existed. The HVAC has had many components changed, they have tore up the ceiling to redirect airflow, and replaced the coils. Nothing has worked, our then newborn, now 1 year old’s room has gotten up to 82°F in the summer. Most days it hovers just under 80°, set to 71°. Our master bedroom does not hold heat in the winter, or cool well in the summer. This has been an absolute disaster.
When going through all of these issues, I had another air-conditioning company run the metrics on the house and they recommended we increase by 1 ton. Naturally, David Weekley laughed this off. Cameron with David Weekley used explicit profanity towards me and my mother, who was the realtor on the house, arguing that nothing is wrong with the air-conditioning. Extremely unprofessional, he has been an absolute jerk and does not take this issue seriously. We have now been in the house 1.5 years and it still does not operate properly. Our warranty manager Ivette has been very knowledgeable, sweet, and has tried to push David Weekley to remedy the situation or replace the system which they refuse to do. Do not build with David Weekley, the issue we are going through applies to every single one of my neighbors.Review fromRobert and Elizabeth H

1 starWe were building a home with David Weekley and terminated the contract due to 2 bad inspections and other problems. We have a sign agreement from them saying they would refund half of our money. That has not happened and we are now hiring an attorney. This company has a shoddy build and is dishonest at best.Review fromLaw T

1 starWe are 5 years into our home initially built by DWH and have experienced multiple issues with our HVAC system because the contractors hired by DW were negligent with their initial installation. Long story short, my family and I are out thousands of dollars spent repairing and fixing issues cause by the builders in the first place and DW refuses to accept full responsibility and reimburse us for the full amount.
