1 starI booked 2 nights at La Quinta Inn by ********************************************************* (9/21/22-9/22/22). When I got there, there was mold on the walls of the room and dead bugs in the drawers. I immediately asked for a refund and was told it was too late for the first night, but they were able to cancel the second night and I could receive a full refund for the second night through the third party I booked with (Priceline). When I contacted *********, they said they reached out to the hotel and the hotel did not approve the refund, even though they told me the night before it was no problem and that they successfully canceled the reservation. I did not even stay there one night and yet have been charged $230. This place is a scam. They do not answer the front desk phone, so I am unable to reach anyone and clarify what has happened and why they did not approve the refund through Priceline when they told me they would. 3 starsThis place has charged money to my account based on their pet policy. I've called twice to speak to a manager and never been called back. They say the charge is due to pets being on the bed/ furniture. My dogs do not get on beds /furniture at home nor anywhere else. They sleep on their own blankets on the floor. They claimed they have pictures of said pet hair on beds. Why charge a pet fee if not for the cleaning? Then ******?? Nobody has sent pictures nor anything else. I find this a scam to get extra money from guest and its a very nasty thing to do especially when you claim proof but never show the person proof.Review fromLisa B

1 starI have season tickets to the football game at App State. I am a *********** member and purchased 2 tickets for each home game. The current price for the Inn is $119 a night. The game is held on Sept. 17, 2022. The price for that night is 285$ a night. I cannot afford to purchase a room for two nights at this price. This is price gouging due to a home game. I am a **** alumi. Very disappointed. I will have to try to sell my tickets at this point.Review fromGloria W

Not a complainer, but one of the worst hotel experiences my husband and I ever had. The rooms decor was like a huge empty shell, there was only 2 bath towels in the room, no face clothes or hand towels, the tissue holder was broken, had to use tissue from floor or reach over to sink counter, The ceramic soap dish made into the shower was broken and hanging from the wall, ready to come crashing down any minute. The breakfast was good but everyone during our stay had to eat with a spoon and knife; no forks in the house.. The housekeeping staff, although spoke little to no English we're pleasant and did the best with what they had.La Quinta Inns

1 starWorst company ever. My son is a gamer and forgot his gaming tv after checkout. I called immediately and the clerk laughs at me over the phone. I've never had an issue with her before but knew who Candy was. She said I can come get it was the reason for laughter. I said ok and I didn't realize it was funny to you. Three days later I finished my move of my local rental and went to book another room just to have my money taken and told in on a no return list for being aggressive with candy. Customer Service was horrible
1st room had a sour smell - carpet was wet
2nd room:
Room dirty - linen & towels
Requested new towels was advised they did not have any until the morning when housekeeping comes in and does laundry.
*Bed had sand on top of it and in the bed when covers turned back and on the floor and this was supposedly a clean room.
Walked by a room and saw housekeeping wet moping a floor. Where they do that at this is a public establishment and after COVID19 and now Monkey Poxs you would think they would be doing a deep clean between guest
Plumbing issue with drain backed up
Asked for manager was told there was not one on duty until the morning asked when they would be in was advised they did not know.
Requested Corporate telephone number was provided with a business card with the West Long Branch, NJ information.
Was not provided with a printed receipt had to request it from the so called Manager on duty the next day.
Spoke to the front desk worker aka Manager "David" the next morning about the issues and asked him what he can do to compensate for the issues and he rudely stated nothing and kept on doing/reading whatever it was he was doing behind the desk as if I was not standing there.
Workers kept trying to recite that due to the location of the establishment (close to the beach) is the reason for the price paid. Regardless of where the establishment is located for the price charged there should have never ever been any nasty rooms or poor, rude customer service. If I am paying $1 or $500 I should have been able to get good customer service and clean towels and not stand in the bathroom waiting for water to drain out the sink, and if I am taking a shower the tub should not have been filling up as if I was running bath water and definitely should not have had to flush toilet multiple time for it to actually flush it.

ADA violators ! We had an accessible room for my disabled wheelchair bound wife reserved. We showed up to La Quinta Inn & Suites in Emporia, KS after 11 hours on the road to find out they didn't have anymore ADA accessible rooms. BEWARE ! There ought to be a law against this inhumane treatment of the handicap.La Quinta Inns

I would like to understand why this happened. For the sake of future handicap people reserving ADA rooms, how will this complaint help avoid future issues of this nature. Violations of ADA needs is very serious, and this hotel needs monitored for ADA compliance.La Quinta Inns

The supervisor was rude. The reservation was wrong. The room was not ready until two and a half hours after the promised time. There was no compensation for this action. The elevator was the dirtier I have ever seem. Just to add, the two people I spoke with was the rudest I have encounter as a paying customer. I will never make a reservation again for this site. I cannot express how surprise and disappointed I am with the service I received. My reservation was for a two room suite. To my surprise, there were no such accommodations at this site. LA Quinta, *********, MO. August 5 through 7, 2022. Rooms *** and ***. Manager, Sherrell and employee Charisma. The rudest people I have encountered in a long time. I requested the spelling of the manager name and Charisma said she couldn't spell. When I asked the manager, her response was to say her name again and walks away. The manager said she was not responsible for people leaving late. My second room was ready at 5:30. I was told that 3:00 was not a guaranteed check in time but I was suppose to check out at regular check out of 11 o'clock. I then requested a later checkout to compensate and was told no. I had no other choice but to accept because I had no other place to stay with my family of five. My brother booked a separate room *** for his family of three. I was hurt, angry, and disappointed. This is not my first stay at this location because of my family ties in MO. I chose this location because I remembered it to be a pleasant place. I will never stay again.Review fromJohn M

1 starWife and I stayed at LaQuinta July 17th 2022 in Abilene Tx ***************. Motel is old and doesn't resemble LaQuinta. When we got our room it smelled like smoke even though its a NON SMOKING room. We got the room at 9:30 CST and around 2am CST my hand was itching and woke me up and at same time my wife woke up with bug bites. My hand had been bitten several times and discovered bed bugs. We pulled back the covers and found several bed bugs under the sheets. Mattress looked like it had been urinated on several times. We took a bed bug in a baggie to the front desk and were told they would have to call the exterminator to confirm they are bed bugs. I called the corporate office and the lady I spoke to told me I would be notified from corporate managers. As of July 30th 2022 no one has contacted me. We had to throw away our clothes bags with concerns of bed bugs from the motel. We ask for a full refund from the LaQuinta which hasn't happened. As far as stars I give LaQuinta a zero for filthiness' and lack of keeping up with this motel management. Very disgusted customer.
