I have paid 69 payments on this truck. I called numerous times to let them know I was having financial difficulty. Was willing to make partial payments. Was told that I couldn't. I had to pay full payments only. Truck was repossessed. Called Exeter about it. They had no record that it was even scheduled for repossession. Back and to on the phone for a week. Then all of the sudden they have supposedly send me a letter and a text message about a repossession. Now I have to come up with a large lump sum or completely lose my truck. They won't even talk to me now. Told me to send them the money or just go clean out my truck. Had to call my local police department to find out where my truck was even located. Most of the money that is owed is late fees that has accumulated over the entire length of the loan. I will never use this company again!!! They charge late fees on their late fees. How is that even possible. I was also being charged late fees on my deferred payments. That is the only way to get the amount they say I owe. Please never use them!!! I'm left with no way to go and no way to get another vehicle.

This company preys on vulnerable people. Their practices should be illegal. I have made 67 of 72 payments and they are saying I owe an additional $10,000 in interest. This payment has to be in full by July. They refuse to work with me. Car was $18,000 and interest is $22,000. I was completely tricked into buying this car with the promosise I could refinance in six months. That didn't happen.

Too bad zero stars isn't an option. I have yet to have a good experience with their automatic pay system and I have had a loan with them for four years now. To the point where I almost defaulted on it because I thought my payments were being taken out automatically due to the automatic payment agreement, correct bank info and everything, set on the same day each week but after $3,000 due and a phone call, come to find out, that wasn't the case at all apparently. Contacted Exeter again to figure out what happened and they blamed it on my bank. My bank that I have had zero issues with and takes auto payments from literally every single one of my accounts except Exeter, but they didn't take into account I tried one-time automatic payments with a different account after this incident... still didn't take it out like they said they would. Fast forward and now I find out I have late fees that "aren't being paid." I made my monthly payment for last month, logged on later to pay the late fees. Paid off until my April due date, after which I am sprung with an additional statement for this month for an additional payment with additional late fees. This statement includes the payments I made every week for two months and yet somehow... I haven't made my payment. ( I made the full payment before the statement was due.) I will never do business with this company again. I can accept a high interest rate to get me in the car and off the lot, that is my own struggle. That doesn't mean we deserve to be taken through the ringer at every chance. They have horrible customer service that doesn't work with you even when they are in the wrong. Avoid at all costs. Find another way, trust me, please don't fall into their scam trap.

Granted I missed two payments because I was medical incapacitated, unable to walk and work. I needed a spinal fusion and a hip surgery and was on a lot of meds due to the pain. Before those two missed payments I never was late and for over a year now haven't made a late payment since. I asked Exeter for a Goodwill deletion or an updated ****** on my credit report and they said well send in a letter explaining what happened and some documents. I did just that and when I contacted them back after 45 days Exeter said oh we don't do Goodwill deletions! Lol why in the world would you ask me to send you medical proof if you never intended on acting on it? If you can get finance somewhere else besides Exeter trust me do it. Its one thing to fall short on your word and make up for it by never falling short again than giving someone false hope as if something was possible when in reality it never was. I still owe but I will pay all of it next month. F it.

This company needs to be shut down. Yes, they got me. Yes, they caught me at a desperate moment when I needed transportation. However, I told the them and the salesman that I had NO, NONE, ZERO income, and that my partner has the income. They told me no problem we can add him in the back files( have no clue) as you cosigner and where it shows you have income in your home. Went to sign paperwork, theres partners income listed as mine. When I asked about it I was told the lender will accept the household income so my partner was not on the contract. They NEVER showed me my interest rate either (24%) which has me paying a total of $52,000 for a ******************************************************************************* *****************. Then, I go to pay my first payment and they have my partners income down as mine and that I work at ******** *** NEVER WORKED AT ******* A DAY IN MY LIFE!!! Im so sick of them and Im having a lawyer look into the arbitration agreement and all. Id much rather pay an attorney than Exeter any day!!!!!!

Exeter Finance is the worst company it has ever been my displeasure to do business with. I traded in a car I had financed through them and the card I traded in also had an extended warranty through Carmax that was also refunded. The CarMax refund hit the Exeter account before the dealerships check for the payoff leaving a residual amount from the dealerships check that should have been sent to me. However Exeter tried to lie and say the check was for lower than what it was so they could pocket my money. Please do not do business with them, and if you have business with them get out as soon as you can.

I've had my vehicle since November of 2023 made my payment for December on time using a money order. January the same and after a couple of weeks they tell me they have not received my payment. I got in touch with ************* to track it they told me the money order has been cashed and gave me the date. Exeter said that it doesn't show up in their system at all. ************* told me what to do to get the information I needed to find out who cashed the money order. The finance company wants me to make that payment again I explained to them why I can't do that. I have made my payments on time as agreed upon on my contract with them. They calls and harasses my husband and myself once or a week. This is nerve racking and unacceptable.

This finance company is violating Usary Laws with outrageous interest on their vehicle the state maximum interest rate on a vehicle is ***** percent, why is my nephews rate over 27 percent! Will have my lawyer look over his contract. He had paid over $15k on a car that was financed for $16k he has paid them over $20k and over $15k of it has gone to interest only! Making his term longer and having to pay another $12k plus on a 14 year old car. If you have a vehicle Financed through them contact a lawyer like I am to have them look over the contract and interest rates in the contract agreement. Seems like they are predatory lenders in my opinion. Hopefully my lawyer can see what I am seeing after looking at my nephews account.,
