  If I could give **** place no stars I would. This place takes advantage of people who are in need of help. I had a 6 year contract. I paid it off in 3. I have been making $465 a month, a little over $17000.00 in total. Come to find out, I still owe $11000.00 dollars. I tried paying off but was told that they're only allowed to process $6000 dollars a day and that I would have to call back the next day and process the other half. I had to pay 2 payments through my bank and 2 paynents from my debit card. The app stated that My payoff quote was one thing, but the representative told me something totally different. All I was told was the app does not generate interest. This company is shady and the representatives are just there to fill a position. I'm glad I'm done doing business with these crumb snatchers. Don't do business here if you value your money.

  Exeter Finance is a very shady company. I did a refinance on my truck which only ended up costing me more so I paid it off early 5 years early and expected a refund on the gap, which I canceled in October, it's December 21 and I have yet to receive my refund, which I have been told 4x now that it was in the mail and was mailed to me they don't know why I've not got it. Yeah right everytime I call which is every 2 weeks, Lies everytime I call, They believe you will get tired of it and give up so they keep your money NO WAY they owe me 712 and I believe they try to keep it. I paid my payments every month for the year I had them legally they are in the wrong and I am not the type to give up... and I do know my legal rights which after this much time I will be taking it higher up Thieves people should be warned not to deal with these predatory company. RUN RUN RUN There customer service is clueless and talks over you or trys too bad service

  Nastiest customer service ever. I called to discuss my account and asked for a letter to confirm the information they provided over the phone. They lady kept telling me she couldnt put the information in a letter which made it feel theres something dirty going on with this company. I asked for a manager who I asked to put his self in my shoes and understand where ** coming from being told one thing over the phone and not being able to receive any proof on paper. He responded by telling me he would never be in my situation very disrespectfully. I felt extremely insulted. Additionally this company will contact you after hours in the middle of the night regarding your debt. BEWARE!

  This company makes me sick they should feel ashamed of them shelfs.Was diagnosed with lung cancer going to need surgery have 6 months left on loan and they told me to bad if you can't pay we will repo your truck.All they cared about was getting there money.never missed a payment just makes me disgusted.

  Well... Exeter been calling me telling to make a payment on my acct which I've already done. Said that they never received any payments from me in which I've made the payment through my bank acct. Their system been down in which it lead me to go thru my bank to make the payment. I'm really regretting going with this company

  They provide an email address on their securities that is invalid, according to Fair Debt Collection Practices Act that is intentional and designed to injure its investors/public. They also say they don't send securities which is in violation of the Security exchange act of ****.   System was down all week I called in to explain They said clear my cache and cookies That had nothing to do with why their system was down Said i should get late payment on my account Woke up to a ding on my credit report saying I was late!! That is not my issue that their system was down!!! i work 6am to 7pm and I have been making my payments on time i dont have the time or the availability within the customer service hours to call in and dispute issueThis needs to be fixed.. *******************

  My due date is at the end of the month, and the website was down ALL WEEK and they were closed for holiday so nobody was around to fix it or help you. If your payment is late even by one day just because it's the end of the month, they'll report it to the credit bureau! Even if it's THEIR FAULT the website was down! Absolute BS. Most places will give you 30 days but they don't even tell you that to begin with. Not to mention I got spammed with 14 emails from them about changing my due date which is useless anyway. Absolute worst lender.

  For the extent of my financial relationship with exeter finance, I have found their customer service abhorent and their ability to disclose information lacking.When initially recieving the refinance notice a very helpful representative was the one handling the transaction, but the second I signed the contract attitudes changed.When trying to get assistance to set up my online account, representatives were unhelpful and rude and I had to resolve the issue I was having on my own.After finding that my payment date was detrimental to my ability to make payments, I called customer service again to try and use the one time change of payment date offer and was informed that the account had to be current and then I would be able to change it through the online portal. After getting the account current and checking online there was no such option available on my portal and when I finally had time to call them again I was informed that because I was so close to my next payment I wouldnt be able to change my payment date until that was posted. I am now currently on the phone with them because after making a payment that failed and trying to make another payment, Exeter has charged both amounts and is blaming me not seeing in the fine print that they may retry payments as the reason for the issue and that there is nothint that they can do. I have now had to spend my day talking to both Exeter and my Bank and my Bank informed me that Exeter should be able to resolve this issue, Exeter is claiming the opposite and refusing to even look into the options that the Bank informed me are available to all merchant-type institutions.If I could go back, I would have kept my other lean-holder because the 100ish dollars I am "saving" on monthly expenses is being turned into much more in stress.
