      I was scammed. I was at my uncles house who had passed a few weeks earlier, trying to start cleaning up. A nice young salesman named ***** came to the door, and explained their service. I said I was not interested. He gave me his card. I talked to my wife and called him back. I said we would pay for them to come spray once, as long as they were in the neighborhood. We would not be set up on a quarterly service because we were planning on selling my uncles house asap. He assured me this would be fine. I got billed on my credit card as agreed. Then they billed again a month later for the supposed service contract that I signed. They had no access to the house, so how did they perform the service they had charged me for? Even if I had signed a contract, even though I refused to sign anything with the young man, for this very reason. They said they emailed me a copy of the contract. That was funny because they did not even have my email. I then tried calling the office and received a personalized automated message saying they are sorry, but I signed the contract and that is that. I finally got around that and talked to a manager, who talked over me. He finally said he would discontinue service from now on, and would not charge me for breaking contract early. A contract I never signed, and have yet to see. How about my money back? Not to mention my time dealing with this. Scammers.

      We take this claim very seriously and regret that there was a misunderstanding.The customer was allowed to cancel with no penalty or consequence other than paying for services already renderedplease note we honored the discount previously given and did not charge full price even though it would have been within our right to do so.On 6/20/22 We sent the service agreement to the email "********************"On 6/21/22 We sent the service agreement to the phone # ************** We also texted "Your first service is complete! You may notice an increase in pest activity at first - please allow 14 to 21 days for our treatment to take full effect. Your service is warrantied between regular maintenance services, if pest activity persists please call, email, or text us! Well return next month for your first regular Quarterly Maintenance." This clearly outlines us coming back next month for another service.Our rep **** speaks to the customer on 8/6/22 and notes that the quarterly service on 7/23/22 wasn't complete because the interior wasn't performed. We offered to come back to the inside for free and the customer denied that request. Mr refused to give us an updated email to give him the service agreement as well.

      ***** did a great job. Thoroughly cleaned outside of house of cobwebs and removed a wasp nest. He was friendly and asked if we had any concerns and was able to educate us on some the insects we were dealing with.

      Tried cancelling on behalf of my sick mother in law and they were extremely inhospitable, rude, and assumed the worst in my intentions.

      I deeply apologize for this situation happening the way it did. Believe it or not, it's a common tactic for other companies to impersonate our customers or their loved ones to try to cancel their services in an attempt to sign them on. Often they will create very involved stories. It is not our intent to upset you or your mother in law, rather the opposite. Please know that we wish you and your mother in law nothing but the best moving forward.

      The guy was rude and came even though he knew I had cancelled the job. He was three hours early from what he had said he would be there before I cancelled and I was not there. He argued with my 82 year old mother and would not listen to NO. She threatened to call the police and he finally left. Pushy sales people is a h*** of a way to run a business.

      I'm sorry you had a poor experience with someone representing our company. This situation does seem odd though as our door to door rep isn't the same as the person performing the service. Can you supply me with the address in question? Once we have that we will handle this internally.

      I'm looking at the previous ratings on here for Moxie Pest Control/Joshua's Pest control (same business phone number, different names). I am seeing responses from my neighbors in the Medallion/*********** area about this company's sales tactics and sales behavior, I really felt the need to comment here. I myself have been "approached' rudely at my door. I am also reading numerous concerns posted on our neighborhood "NextDoor App". This company seems to be soliciting in areas where soliciting is strictly prohibited. The sales staff is rude, making neighbors uneasy and apparently they "don't take no for an answer". They apparently keep coming back to residences after they tell them no once, This ****** aggressive behavior is unwelcome (anywhere) and is no way to run a business. I am frankly amazed more of my neighbors haven't responded here, as well.

      *******, I am so sorry you had such a poor experience with a representative from our company. The pushy behavior you described is not acceptable to us and we would like the opportunity to follow up with the person who knocked on your door and make sure they do not continue to represent us in this way. Please email me your address, or it it's more comfortable for you, the crossroads nearest to your home. With that information I can locate the team that is knocking in your area and handle this internally ASAP.

      Despite the no solicitation sign on my front door, and having that fact pointed out to the salesman, he just kept talking. This was after ringing my door bell and knocking several times. I told him that I was going to call Moxie about this harassment and his reply was " tell them to give me raise." This was in West Laurel, Md on Saturday July 23rd at 10am.
