My computer froze while working on it and had to be rebooted. After the computer came back on, the internet drivers were gone and I could no longer connect to the internet.I call Dell Technical support for assistance. Once I called they said sure we can help you with that. The technician told me to restart the computer to get into the automatic repair tool. Ok, so next it asked for a BitLocker code. I looked that up on my ********* account and tried to put it in, but now it throws and error and reboots into the same process again. So after being told they could help, they locked my computer up completely and than the gentleman says oh we can only help once you pay.Prior to calling Dell I was on my computer and able to access my files and data. But after they do this I can no longer do that and can only get back to where I was if I pay? And Im stuck in a cycle of blue screens? So you locked me out from MY computer and MY data and the only way I can get it is if I pay?! Excuse me, but what kind of business model and customer service is this. So I ask to talk to a supervisor. Well they cant connect you to a supervisor and you have to wait for a callback. Meanwhile everyone you talk to is foreign and English is not their first language and there are huge discrepancies of what appropriate customer treatment is this.I need someone from corporate to call and resolve this, conduct some training etc. THIS is NOT OK! You can not just lock me out of my own computer and than request payment to help. If I would have known this I would have downloaded all my data and just moved my business elsewhere.Danielle G

Last discussion with supervisor: He told my husband a tech would call back today or tomorrow and hung up on him. 3 hrs later, no technician call back.Danielle G

4 hrs later and still no tech call back. Scheduled an appointment with Best Buy Geek Squad tomorrow. Taking business elsewhere. Dell customer service is atrocious and they are only money driven, once they have the money they could care less. Spent over $5000 with Dell in the last two years this was the last time.Review fromCraig C

1 starIf I could give Alienware 0 stars, I would. Where do I start is the real question. I have gone through countless laptops, both the R2 and R5. The R2 got so hot that you could barely touch the keys without literally burning your fingers. Blue screens happened daily so I returned every device I had. Thinking that the *** R5 model would be a better machine and oh boy was I wrong. This thing was a trainwreck from the start. The Mifi LAN card failed repeated and made it to where I had to connect an Ethernet cable in order to access the wifi. So I returned that as well. After trying 4 R5's, I realized that not only tech support is worthless but these machines are absolutely the worst gaming laptops you can buy. Trust me on this folks, stay far away from Alienware.Review fromJessica L

1 starTerrible product, terrible customer service. My ********************** broke twice, took forever on the phone to get help (hours). First time, it was under warranty and they fixed it after seven hours on the phone. The motherboard they replaced went out 10 months later; I had to pay $158 to get it fixed. Got the computer back and the problem is still there, and they won't refund my money. I removed the hard drive and recycled the computer. You couldn't pay me $25,000 to use another Dell computer; not worth the stress.Review fromChristopher M

1 starCompletely redid **************** in Dell 3 years ago. Called to purchase the extended warranty but refuse to allow me to speak to anyone but an assigned rep. for a price. Are there different prices for different customers on the same product? Obviously. They wont quote me over the phone or online. It seem to me theres prejudice behind the scenes. Moral is. Dont trust Dell.Review fromWilliam G

1 starCompany is honestly a joke. Spent over $4000 on a gaming desktop and paid extra for their extended warranty for so called "world class support" claiming to be available for tech support over the phone 24/7. Called the number on their and got routed to someone in ***** only to have them transfer me around for 20 minutes to other buffoons all located in ***** all to result in the last guy telling me that the only tech support department that can help me is open only on certain hours. Worthless "premium" support.Review fromWilliam D

1 starThis complaint is for Dell Tech Support. It is terrible! I have been PC tech support for Dell in the past and now they are all kids in *****. Right away they wanted to take control of my pc. I fixed the problem in less than 5 minutes myself. Perfect now. 85% of scamming calls come from *****. True statistic from U.S. and **** Governments. Don't trust calls from some young person at his home, not at work who can't do tech support at all. It was very easy to fix. Just wanted to try 4 year tech support to see if they knew before I tried. Waste of time! I called back about 8 times and every case was some child at home. They have no skills. I will never buy support for a Dell Computer again. I like my XPS-****. I had XPS laptop since 2011. They ship Windows 10 and during install it asks if you want free upgrade to Windows 11. Don't do it! Windows 11 is beta version. Horrible.Going to format C: partition and put original image file of windows 10 back on. Their tech support is totally disorganized. The online program is all that is available for any tech support. I CAN NOT GET ONE PERSON IN ***** ON THE ***** FOR ANY CALL. EVEN NON TECH SUPPORT. THEY ARE ALL DIVERTED TO LONE ****** YOUNG KIDS WHO KNOW FAR LESS THAN I KNOW. I WOULD RECOMMEND NOT TO BUY ANY DELL. MOST PEOPLE DON'T HAVE MY PC SKILLS AND NEED ***** SUPPORT. IT IS NON EXISTANT AT DELL AND NO MATTER WHAT YOU TRY, I TRIED EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO GET SOMEONE IN ***** OR ***********.....I WAS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME. WHEN I ASKED ** FOR COMPLAINT HELP IT HUNG UP THE ***** ON ME 3 TIMES! AFTER TAKING DOWN MY EXPRESS CODE. THEY SAID OFFICES ARE CLOSED FOR ALL ***** NUMBERS. Once you put in tech support request it takes being a detective to get past being sent to ****** "support." every time. I have my hacking tricks and got salespersons, etc. phone numbers. All of them are always closed. Is there zero stars? Their tech support is Negative 5.Review fromJohn C.

1 starDeceptive Billing Practices:I called in August to cancel my subscription plan. They called me back and told me that it was cancelled but billed me again in August. I called back on September 13th and they stated that the subscription was cancelled but it was after the billing cycle so I would get charged again. On Sept 29 they called again and stated that the subscription was cancelled but again since it was after the billing cycle, I got charged again. Today, October 14th I received a statement stating that my subscription was cancelled on October 13th but AGAIN it missed the billing cycle and got charged again.Review fromTimothy M

For two days, I have tried to purchase an Alienware laptop, and a Netgear router for my daughter as a reward she earned. I have not been lied to misled and disrespected as much as I was by ****** in the past 12 hours of dealing with them. They charged my **** debit card for $2756.04, and then they charged my MasterCard for $2756.04. They deny that they charged my debit card even though I bank official phone them provided them with the transaction number provided them with a picture of the fee. But because she wanted an Alienware I persisted and did order one with the full knowledge that it had to be here before the 21st, I was promised confirmed that it would be. A few hours later I got a sheeps phone call from one of the attendance telling me he had sent me the confirmation. I asked if it was the same confirmation that he had given me for hours earlier, and all I got was a bunch of mumbling . When I checked the latest confirmation, they had switched the delivery date from the 21st to the 24th and try to sneak it by me. I cannot believe that dell and Alienware has deteriorated to such deplorable treatment of customers and they need to steal their money so anyone reading this please take heed . This is not the company that ******* Dell built it on.Timothy M

1 starThis purchase has been one of the worst! We purchased an expensive gaming laptop for our daughter, spending about double what we had planned for and she contributed a large amount of her summer job money, for her to take for her freshman year of college. After one month, the gaming capabilities (video) shut down. We contacted Dell and after several calls, it was agreed that the issue could not be repaired remotely and she had to ship the computer to their repair depot. From this point on, we had to rent and make other arrangements for much of the year for her to attend her virtual classes since every repair resulted in a new issue that previously had not existed. It was returned to us with a defective screen, a nonfunctional camera, a more defective screen, and a nonfunctional keyboard. It spent more time in their repair depots and in shipping than the time she could use it for her classes! One month after our warranty expired, the camera stopped working again. At her age, she should be developing lifetime brand loyalty but I am certain that no one in our family will ever buy a Dell again!!
