      If I could rate a 0 star I would. Booked through work cause we get discounts on rentals. $90 for a week. Get there said we needed 500k in liability insurance since didnt have that we got charged another $200 at the counter plus they wanted to charge $15 a day for tolls among other chargers. The car was disgusting, can clearly tell they dont clean them between rentals, the inside of the car stunk so bad even a car fresher didnt help. Highly do NOT recommend.

      I had a terrible experience with N.U. Car Rental and will never return.The pickup process was completely misleading. The employee rushed me through the paperwork and only pointed out the areas to initialnever clearly disclosing I was being charged an extra $159.28 for liability insurance. I had already prepaid for the rental, so I was shocked to find another charge on my credit card afterward.When I brought it up at drop-off, I was told the transaction was recorded and would be reviewed. That never happened. I was later told nothing could be done. This kind of dishonesty and lack of accountability is *************** make matters worse, the rental location was in a sketchy part of town and felt unsafe. If I hadnt been with someone, I wouldve seriously reconsidered walking in alone.I will be disputing the charge with my credit card and sharing this experience widely. I strongly advise others to stay away from this company.

      This company gas very deceptive trade practices. I arranged thru priceline. Paid for insurance thru priceline. Got to the counter, the agent for Nu Car Rentals informed me of an additional refundable deposit was necessary. It was not refunded but 3 additional charges of supplemental insurance was added totalling very close to the amount of refundable deposit. The customer service chat bot was not helpful and informed me that it was authorized with my signature. No help. ***** this deceptive company !

      Do NOT rent from this company. They are scam artists. I declined *** and Road Assistance, but got charged for both after I returned the car.

      Gosh where do I even start. Looking at some of the recent reviews, I fell victim to this company. I had purchased extra insurance online just to be safe.The actual car we got, had just over 34k miles, but as soon as I started driving it, it just felt off, as if something wasnt right with it. So over the course of a few days I really tried to take it easy with the car. Luckily we made it throughout the trip, but boy I tell ya, for the next person that ends up with this car, look under the hood, I saw a few things that were alarming, and Im not even a mechanic, but I am mechanically savvy.This is where I messed up and fell victim to Nu Car rentals, I told the agent when we first did the paperwork that I bought extra insurance online. I should have read everything that I was initialing off on, I did not, so thats on me, Ill eat that one. The agent told me to initial several areas and unknowingly I ended up paying for ******************************** that I definitely did not want, and prepaid fuel, which like any other reputable car rental company would tell you to fill it before retuning it, which I did. Again, I probably wont be getting a refund on that prepaid fuel charge of $***** theres that. Like others have mentioned in their personal experiences, shady practices, shady people, shady company yeah. Learn from my mistakes, and choose better. Lessons learned on my part, Im staying clear next time.I wish I could give ZERO stars, literally the worst car rental business you could rent from. Yes, its THAT bad.

      Scam! Bait and switch! Online reservation tells you one price but when you get in there they add a bunch of other fees. I had full coverage insurance plus use the ********** and they still wanted to charge for a possible delay in payment from the insurance company if there was an accident. ***

      This business will scam you. They charge you for things like insurance and tolls and say it's only a deposit and you will get it back. When you never get the deposit refunded, they will say you purchased extra things that you never agreed to. This place should be shut down.

      This place is a scam. I had a reservation for a mid size suv. I also had a waiver from my insurance company that i was covered for insurance. They told me it wasnt good enough so they wanted to charge me $500.00 for 9 days. I refused and 10 minutes later it was down to $211.00. The car they were going to give me was one that 13 clowns would come out of!! So i cancelled everything and they would not give me any paperwork to show i cancelled everything. I called the police and even with their help could not get any paperwork. DO NOT rent a car from this place. I might also add that we were there for over 3 hours and ended up taking a **** to our rental property. Total scam artists. I gave them 1 star only because it wouldnt let me post my review without rating it. I would definitely give this place a -10 stars!!!

      Worst customer experience I have ever had. They took my money through travelocity, cancelled my reservation and have refused to provide a new reservation or refund. After 4 months of chasing them, my most recent engagement with their "escalation supervisor" resulted in her screaming at me for 10 minutes and telling me to "fu** Off". Avoid at all costs. Bad product, bad people.
