      P-U NU Car rental (so called) business ---5 negitiveSTARS I should have checked ALL of the reviews, TERRIBLE company very poor communication, no clarity in charges and /or hidden expenses.I clearly explained my ( very well known ) insurance company would supply coverage and all charges and yet they continued to charge me an amount that was almost double the original weekly charge. No chance after you drop off your rental to finalize the charges or have them try to explain why the hidden cost.When you drop off your rental through the in foreign language or gestures the hired help proceed to corral you rapidly to the shuttle service or are extremely rude if you approach the inside counter with questions.Why are the reviews low as well as the prices?....they really aren't they end up costing way more than the well known company's DO NOT USE N U CAR RENTALS...ITS A SCAM AND RIPOFF...*** *. ******,************** of experience: April 05, 2025

      They dont even deserve a half a star! The man said his name is ***** which I dont believe!! (big tall guy) I have full coverage on my vehicle and because he didnt give me a few minutes to show him the decoration page he threatened to cancel my reservation charge me the $79 and was rude as F!!! I will be fighting these charges! Do not rent from the company!!!!!!

      **Terrible Experience with Nu Car Rental**I would leave zero stars if I could! I had an absolutely awful experience with Nu Car Rental. They are nothing short of a scam! After explicitly telling them I didnt want insurance and signing a waiver to that effect, they still proceeded to charge me hundreds of dollars for something they misleadingly call an "insurance waiver." The sneaky and scammy wording they use is incredibly deceptive!They claimed to have pulled security footage to prove that insurance wasnt discussed, but they refuse to show it to me. Talk about untrustworthy! Not to mention, the car I received looked like it had been completely ripped apart by border patrol. To make matters worse, their call center representatives are incredibly rude. Its frustrating to deal with a company that clearly prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction. I would strongly advise anyone to steer clear of Nu Car Rental if they value their hard-earned money and want to avoid a headache.

      I made a fully refundable reservation, then later cancelled the reservation.The refund was never credited to my payment method; N kept my payment for a cancelled reservation.I tried to call and got a crazy runaround trying to talk to someone.

      Used a third party vendor sight agreed on $99 for a 3 day rental. When I picked up the vehicle the charge was 3x the amount agreed. When asked, the attendant stated there was a 40% airport tax. Upon further research there is a $10 dollar fee per vehicle per day. When calling customer care they said that I opted into insurance when signing the contract and they verified it through secret recordings at the desk. When asked for the recordings I was denied due to customer security. I rely heavily on agents explaining line items on the contracts that I sign, I'm a 100% disabled vet with memory and learning disabilities, and if I can't rely on the agent to act in my best interest, do as I request, then all in all they are a poor company that has no reason to have any of your business in the future. Go to a more reputable company, ** is not it.

      I made a reservation on line through ************* and got there just to be denied because in his words trumps dei policy stops them from doing business with my kind im here now i asked fir my money and was denied do im trying to find out if i bust this arab in the head will he return my money. Im in the process of call ICE to get them deported

      State attorneys general should investigate this company. Their virtual staff intentionally hides charges. Disclosures are on a tiny screen and most aren't able to read it. This enables them to add charges for "extended protection" charges when the consumer believes they are waiving service options.

      In January 2025 I booked a car from NU Car Rentals in *** through *********** for $195.75 which included ALL ************* Upon arrival I declined all optional products including loss of use waiver so-called PDW - Partial Damage Waiver, because it was covered by my credit card. But without my permission the agent, ******, added this charge to my contract making me sign it on a small screen pad before I saw the total amount of $430.85. I told them to remove PWD and they refused to do so and told me that was a mandatory coverage and agreement was already signed. Be aware about a LOT of hidden fees and fraud. ZERO starts, no more.

      I would not recommend this company ever! We ended up paying almost double the original quote provided through a third-party website, and the rental facility was not at the *************** car rental facility itself. We were 65 minutes late returning the car, and we were charged 2 hours of late fee, each hour of which was significantly more than the daily fee we had paid. There were several other fees that were a percentage of the rental fee, which means those also increased significantly. While the contract may allow it, it is deceptive at best. We will never rent from them again.
