      Would give them minus 5 stars but that would be too generous, what are these clowns still doing in business surely they get no repeat business.Booked ******* You have to take shuttle from the rental car center and you have to wait in the heat as shuttle is very small and can only take a few people then you have to wait half an hour for the next one.Then waited an hour in line a further 30 minutes to process, cars are wiped down by workers with rags not washed and not cleaned inside.Was offered a Sentra which had Mudgard mount sticking in tyre which rejected, then offered another with cracked windscreen an hour later offered a Dodge which reluctantly accepted even through filthy as had now been 3 hours !! Made longer because yard staff could not speak English ??? and made to go back in line each time. Chose to prepay gas got an email telling me if car not returned by **** would be charged an extra day at much higher rate told them would return by **** which was the time we finally got on the road.On return was charged for gas, when questioned was given partial refund but told because bigger car the prepay was higher, told them I did not choose this car it was their choice and should not apply, spend a day going back and forth on email being told alternatively that it was because of bigger car or taxes applied to fuel prepayment.Some questionable charges such are short term rental fee, airport fee (they are nowhere near an airport) and other mystery charges, maybe legit, maybe not Very unprofessional, !!!!DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY IT WILL COST YOU MUCH MORE THAN BOOKING WITH A FIRST CLASS OUTFIT !!!!

      They over charged troll fees. Got an email with actual charges for ****************** fees no more than $20 and got a charge of $75 and change because of administration fees. When from desk advised cost is $30 if fee is not paid at front. They manually typed card to charge and unsure how they got old address I didnt use for services on 4/15/2023

      The staff member **** repeatedly lied to us and told us we asked for insurance when we have a video of ** asking multiple times for no insurance. After noticing he added extra charges to our bill he still continued to lie an tell me that I was wrong! He was very rude an refused to make it right! This Company feeds off taking your money. Hope this company gets the lawsuit they deserve

      Didnt have the car that we rented then claims there are no other rentals and you have to upgrade. Paid 3x what we were told. Also you have to have a credit card with $300 deposit and doesnt come off for weeks.

      The day before my scheduled car pick-up in **, I confirmed with my insurance that I had full coverage on a rental vehicle. This included the loss of income to the rental company while the car would be out of service for repairs (the daily rental fee) should I be at fault for an accident. When I arrived to pick up my car, I was asked for my insurance policy and when they looked it up, this portion of coverage was not listed as it had just been added the day before. The agent said that they needed something in writing from my insurance agency saying that I had the coverage. Too bad this happened on a Saturday as my agent's office was closed. I sat on hold for about 30 minutes with my insurance agency before giving up and being forced to pay an additional $80+ for this specific portion of coverage. I was also told that I had to pay before the car left the lot and even if I provided something later from my insurance agency, I would not get a refund. I have NEVER had a rental car company hold a car hostage to insurance coverage before.I booked through Expedia and when looking at Nu's requirements, there is no mention of needing this specific form of insurance. This is a tactic to nickle and dime people, scamming them out of every cent they can get.Additionally, the two women in front of me in line were having the EXACT same problem and had someone on the phone from their agency, telling the Nu agent that they had the coverage but that wasn't good enough...they needed it in writing.Finally, the car was covered in dents, scratches and stains...RUN!!!

      They will SCAM you anyway they can! I booked through Priceline and thought I was getting a pretty good deal. I had to stand out in the heat for 45 minutes waiting for the shuttle to pick me up. The rental company was in a very sketchy neighborhood. The vehicle was dirty on the outside. They took pictures of the vehicle before they handed me the keys. And when I asked to see the pictures, they purposely failed to take a picture of damage on the bumper so I made the lot attendant her take them again. Although I got a decent price on the rental, they charged me charged me $59 for fuel when I had just filled it up. I called them to complain and they insisted that it wasnt quite full and refused to reimburse me! Needless to say, I will not be using them again!?? BEWARE!

      Be very cautious when renting for the *** ******* rental office. We turned in our rental on the 19th of April around 6:15 p.m. or so. Our flight left at 9:00 p.m. The next day I get an email that my credit card had an additional charge. They were trying to charge me an additional $361.82 for an additional day. They doctored the paperwork from the original agreement to say I returned it on 4/20/23. I provided all the documentation to them that showed I left on the 19th. In addition, there were 5 other people with me when we turned the car in the. The airline confirmed we were on the flight so we couldn't have turned in the car on the 20th. After I provided all of the documentation to show that someone on their end was committing fraud on my credit card they have not responded back to any of my emails. I have worked with my credit card company to reverse the charges. They also try to sell you the daily toll pass at $13.00 a day. We said no and we paid the tolls as we went. The agent at the counter when we checked in was drilling me on why I had full coverage on a 2007 vehicle ( you have to show your insurance). He said don't you have a new vehicle. What does that matter? I have full coverage. If you do choose to rent from them, don't just use the ipad to document damage. Make someone come out to the vehicle. Our vehicle had damage all the way around and stains in the inside. When you return it, make someone come out to review the vehicle and get paper documents with the date on it that you returned the car. If you have someone with you, video from your phone you returning the car. This has been nothing but a nightmare. Thank god my credit company sent me a note right away. I was lucky I had all of my receipts from the 19th.

      Will NEVER use this SHADY company again! They refused to rent to me because I am local after I called them ahead of time and they said it was no problem. They waited to refuse me till after they scanned my credit card and drivers license. Pretty shady! No human being present and all done over a camera and screen in their office with a foreigner in a different country altogether! BEWARE!!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH Nu Car rentals!!!

      I rented from them returned the car with full tank of gas and they turned around and charged me $88.25 for gas. When I called to tell them they hung up on me. Stay away from them they will rip you off.

      You might get a cheap quote but then they lie and tell you that it's CA law to get the liability insurance and then your rental ends up being more expensive than a reputable company. Avoid. Lies and scammers.
