1 starBEWARE of being locked into a contract: I originally worked with a broker/agent of Goosehead. Who at first found me good and normal home and auto policy's. I even switched my flood insurance policy over to them (Even though my home isn't in a 500 year flood zone).However at the end of EACH year the renewal came in from this Westlake Goosehead corporate office. And the renewal rate was ALWAYS increased on all policy's up as much as $1,500. more for a year. We never had a claim, No tickets.. Our flood insurance went up from $500 to almost $900 in 2 years. I went out and got a flood policy for $300. So,, I changed agents and this Goosehead company.. Only to find out they put some type of contact on us, So as other insurance companies had to go through them! When I cancelled Goosehead, they would not respond to my new insurance companies request to end this contract. Until I cancelled the very last contact with them... NOTE: I was never told we were in a contract. NOR would I EVER sign any such contract knowingly: BEWARE BEWARE BEWAREReview fromRashida D

1 starMy experience with this company has been terrible! I have been in a back and forth battle with Goosehead since December 2023 (it is now March 2024). Our agent kept making mistakes on our home policy (wrong address, wrong amount of coverage, etc.) and told us that she would have to cancel, rewrite, and collect another deposit each time a correction needed to be made. We were promised a refund each time and told it would take up to 8 business days. I am still waiting on refunds and today I got a letter from the home insurance provider threatening cancelation as payment was never made on our policy. This does not make sense as the entire amount was released from our lender and deposits for the policy was taken out of our account each time a new policy was written. I have received the run around from our agent as well as the customer service team as I have tried to collect refunds from the canceled policies and keep our current (corrected) policy active. I have tried to be patient but at this point we need this to be resolved. We have waited long enough.Review fromJonathan L

It started off good with this agency until it came time for me to search for another auto policy through a different carrier due to Travelers raising my premium nearly double! I tried multiple times reaching out to my agent and after multiple attempts and no callback or even an email (even when they notated in the system for him to reach out to me) after 2 weeks I called and canceled my auto policy and went with a different ageny that was able to find me a great deal. Unfortunately goosehead also handles my home insurance and now I'll have to search for an agency that can help me with that as well or just bundle it with my new auto. The extra star is only because they started off great when my Agent was *********************, unfortunately when they switched my agents it all went downhill from there. I won't mention his name on here.

Let me start by saying I would give them negative 10 stars if I could!! Goosehead insurance cost my husband and I almost $2000 because of their incompetence. The reason people (**) use a third party insurance company is for their knowledge and expertise. They unfortunately signed us up for TWO of the exact same insurance policies and later wouldnt take accountability or liability for the extra policy and payment made for double coverage. Stating we should have asked if our first policy was in fact cancelled. Do NOT use this company. They only have their best interest at heart. They do not care about their customers!! Save your time and money and take your business elsewhere!Goosehead Insurance Agency, LLC

5 starsBeen a customer of ********************** over 6 years and never had any issues. Filed a claim on my roof in 2021 and they were quick and efficient. 5 starsEasy to work with! The agent that works with you also works in tandem with a service team. I think most of these reviews are from clients that might not have received the proper communication from their agent about that. My agent is always responsive within a day or two, but if I need anything urgent the service team does a great job. Would recommend ******************* 7/7 days. He's helped me find cheaper policies year after year and is very professional even if there's nothing cheaper out there. Would recommend.Review fromLyndsee W

5 starsI have nothing but great things to say about my experience with Goosehead. I have been with them for 5 years and it has been nothing but convenience and ease. Rates change every year, there is no denying that however, every time I have a drastic rate change or a large life change and need to change my insurance, rather than calling 20 people to figure out what's best for me now, I just have to contact 1 person. The ease of use for customers, the service, and the agents are 10/10.
