      I would like to share my terrible experience with Goosehead insurance company, so if you have the opportunity to read this please run away from them, Goosehead its a terrible company to buy your insurance policy from a year ago i switched my insurance company through Goosehead, I was making monthly payment to my policy and yesterday I went to get my plate sticker, ended up my car plate had been suspended since June of 2023 due to lack of insurance thanks to Goosehead, apparently one of their staff removed the liability from my insurance so the city suspended my plate due to lack of insurance, meanwhile I was making my monthly payment religiously for a full coverage insurance and driving my car without knowing I didnt have liability in my car and that my plate was suspended, once I called Gooeshead no body knows anything, they tried to blame the insurance company and the insurance company tried to blame them, the staff doesnt know nothing and all they can say is that they will escalate the problem, they say that somebody will call me and nobody does and I still here with my car suspended 3 tickets to pay and waiting on them, so please if you are about to get your insurance through this company just be careful they are really terrible.

      Goosehead sent me a quote for home insurance, then started a policy without me signing anything. I called them and they stated they had verbal consent to start the policy. What an unscrupulous group this is. Im in the process of trying to cancel a policy I never agreed to.

      This complaint applies to Goosehead and ********. I bought a duplex in ******* a few months ago and went through Gooshead to find insurance. They signed me up with ******** and I got insurance with them and paid the full premium for 6 months. 3-4 months later, I got a cancellation notice through ******** due to a required inspection never being performed. Either Gooshead or ******** gave the inspector the wrong address and this was NEVER fixed after multiple times of me calling and asking for statuses on the address being fixed, etc. There was 0 sense of urgency and neither the broker or the insurance company took blame for this. I tried VERY hard to get the inspection done but that process STILL hasn't been completed after over a month. I now have a lapse in coverage because of something that was not my fault and no one has tried to fix this issue. I am extremely stressed and upset about this so hopefully other can see this review and choose their broker and insurance wisely.

      I wish I could leave zero stars. After over paying for insurance with them for 3 years we found a better cheaper policy. We canceled with them had our bills paid in full every month. After we canceled they sent us a bill for $168.37 for the remaining part of the month. Typically when you pay in full every month and you cancel early they send you the money back they owe you in credit.... Not with goosehead .. apparently they try to milk you for more. We called the ******** to inquire about the charges and put our number in the que for someone to call back that was 4 weeks ago and have yet to get a call back. They have since reported us to collections. Stay away from this company they charged us triple what we pay with State Farm and then have no customer service for you to contact.

      They charges 199 $ agency fee and that was not initially disclosed to me and as I was in a hurry I signed the papers and only later realized its agency fee, it would be helpful if agent discloses these before.

      The reason for my two stars is because of the poor customer service that I received. Everyone was nice. However, my last agent stopped responding back to my emails, so I canceled my policy and then received a charge for my insurance. Instead of Goosehead being honest with me, I was being lied to by Goosehead employees telling me that I was going to get a refund through the chat and spoke with someone who was extremely nice, but basically told me to contact progressive because he sees that progressive billed my refund to the wrong address. Embarrassingly I called progressive to find out that I actually owe them money. Goosehead couldve been honest or professional from the start. Im not pressed about losing money or anything but I was just following what they told me they advised me to continue to reach out to verify my refund and they couldve just educated me and told me that that refund was for what I owed. I understand people get mad when they dont get a refund but you have to still tell them the truth I will never work with Goosehead because of this.
