      This bank is so out dated. you have to *************** to them. no fax. no upload. horrendous customer care ques even longer manager ques. while I'm writing this I have been in que for an hour now. DO NOT GO WITH THEM.

      I sent this message to Merrick Bank:I am sending this message because there was not a way to send the message from my mobile app or online through your website. I called customer services on more than one occassion trying to resolve my balance, without resolve. As I had mentioned to your associate, I made a payment in December way too early which caused me to fall behind on making payments. I have always been current on paying my bill and have paid more on few occassions. It is with the late fees that are killing me at this time. And your company is not working with me as a loyal consumer that has one of your cards.??????????I will tell everyone that I know to not even consider a Merrick Bank Credit Card and I am going to report this issue with the BBB so that others will know as well. This is terrible!

      Merrick Bank has shady business practices. Don't pay early as you will receive fees. No other financial institution does this. If you pay before your due date, it will be posted to the previous *********** get hit with late fees, even though you are paying early. It's a trap! Don't do business with them!

      garbage company. never used the card once. sent me to collections for a new monthly few they added on after having the card for a year. They caused my credit score to drop by 30 points for a $12 dollar monthly fee that I never agreed too. Their customer service is rude as well. Don't bother. there are better cards by better companies.

      Bank or before due their due dates to build my credit which they told me verbally in a call that they don't like because then they don't make any money on interest rates! This is why it was temporary blocked the first time for no reason. With a constant zero balance owing and doubling my credit line, I recently told them I would be out of the country and use my Merrick MC which they told me was authorized. I tried to purchase airline tickets to come home and for no explanation blocked my card again! After a text to verify me they said the charge would be approved on a retry and once again it was declined. I spoke with two agents on two separate calls again with them verifying my identity at Merrick bank and again was told it would be authorized upon trying again. Again declined twice more! On the next call I asked politely to speak with a supervisor and was hung up on! Merrick Bank left me and my family stranded overseas for no other reason apparently than to punishment me for paying my payments before the due date which makes them no money! Fortunately I had other honest, reliable and professional credit cards to use but am shocked at the unethical business practices of Merrick Bank! I see by my research online that this is sadly a regular occurrence by them! PS, I just tried again twice to book our transport at the airport to our home and was declined again! Unbelievable!!

      I would given zero stars if I had that option. I received an offer for a credit card. No where on the application did it mention an annual fee. My credit is in good standing so I did not believe a charge would be applied. This was a $300 low limit card. It arrives in the mail and I see they have listed $39 annual fee. I wasn't happy. I proceed to use this card only to discover that I'm already at my limit??? So soon...knew I hadn't charged even close to $300. Finally then to get into my acct online to see I had been charged $79!!! Unacceptable...DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH MERRICK BANK!!! SCAMMERS...FRAUD...Just ??

      This bank is HORRIBLE and should be shut down expeditiously! Theyre ruining my credit over an account that was fraudulently opened. Now this account that isnt mine hit my credit as 60 days past due and my credit dropped 60 points in total all because of this bank. Now I cant purchase a new home! This place should be prosecuted!!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!! Then when you call you get representatives from over seas with a language barrier!!!!!

      Worst credit card/bank I have ever dealt with they cant even get my card to work properly since day one been waiting the last two weeks for an answer while doing an internal investigation.
