I bought a mattress at Mattress Firm. It was never delivered. The order was canceled and now Mattress Firm and progressive are saying that the order isn’t canceled and they’regoing back-and-forth and nobody will cancel the order and give me my money back. It’s been over 10 days and they’re saying it could be up 4 to 6 weeks before I get my money back. I want my money back now. They are refusing to give me my money back.Business Response

I was advised to use progressive leasing in a mattress purchase in August or September of 2024. The sales lady used the financing option as a way to push the sale. I was not disclosed thr hidden interest rates or penalties associated with this leasing option at the time of sale.
I discovered later that my payments with progressive had ballooned and I now owe 2x the original sale price.
I attempted to work with mattress firm on two separate occasions. Both times they said it was out of their hands and furthermore wouldn't accept the return of the leased mattress.
I was charged 25$ sales tax each installment and am curious if this tax revenue was even accurately reported to the government/ irs?
Mattress firm would not produce any paperwork regarding the lease application when requested to dispute the charges.
Progressive leasing has been a defendant in a class action lawsuit which they lost for deceptive leasing practices and still continue the same sales practices with new consumers despite the court case being won against progressive.
They are involved in predatory lending and do not disclose the risks of these financial instruments to their consumers despite knowing the harms and lawsuits.Business Response

My problem with this company is, I believe that they are pulling the wall over my eyes. I did not take out a loan for as much asthey are charging me. They are overcharging me. I have called and tried to speak to their customer service. I have been disrespected I have been talking to people who seem to not understand me as I speak with them. I have also talking to a gentleman by the name of ***** the ID number ****. I believe he told me he told me let him educate me because I evidently wasn’t educated enough For him. He has no idea of my education level. I have a masters degree by the way this company is trying to rip me off. paid taxes on a total amount. I should not have to pay taxes every time I make a payment plan if you’re charging me taxes on mywhole amount, how are you? Continue to charge me taxes each time I pay for something I don’t understand. I’ve called to try to get some Nobody can understand or explain anything to me. They are so rude so disrespectful. I’m gonna tell anybody they should run for the heels from this company. Theyshould never deal with this company and this company needs to explain to me why are they overcharging me? Why are they keeping my money? Why they trying to make me pay so much out? This is ridiculous. They lie to their customers trick you and assigning a contract and then this is where I am dealing with them and can’sfurniture never again run run. This is so sad. I am so angry. I’m so hurt. I’m so disappointed in this whole ordeal after a hurricane. went through so much of a disaster and now I’m still dealing with a disaster of people From this company. I have been trying to move forward and they are steady trying to pull me back I don’t understand what in the world is happening please help me find out. I have had multiple leases with Progressive Leasing and they all have been paid within 90days. I currently has a lease which I did the usual. The way their system works is when you apply for a lease agreement you automatically are enrolled in a 12 month purchase option. Once the lease is approved you contact customer service and change the agreement to the 90 day purchase option if that is what you'd like. Again, I have had probably more than 4-5 leases with Progressive so I am familiar with their process. Once my lease was approved I contacted customer service and I changed the 12 month purchase option to a 90 day purchase option. My first payment is not due until April 13th but on the app it reflects two late payments. I contacted customer service and the *** named ***** (would not give me an employee id number) deflected the entire concern and told me to disregard the late payments. I asked for a supervisor or manager and she said her supervisor was in a meeting. My account should not be in "past due" status when it is NOT past due!Business Response

This company won't allow me to remove my debit card from their website. These is a message saying I have a delivery pending. I put a stop payment into the system twice in less than an year. when they can't get into my account through the checking account they charge my debit card. I am forced into automatic transactions I don't want authorized. I spoke with an agent and made it clear I want o pay on my own will. The also adjust their charges to get around the stop payment with my bank. For example if ****** doesn't work they then try to take ******. This is a dishonest, predatory and overcharging company. I used progressive leasing for a lease to own program.I received a letter stating payments will start in May.I have not yet received the ordered item, the website I ordered the item from says they will not have stock until mid June at the earliest.The letter stated that if I have not yet received the merchandise I should contact their customer support team.I called them and got connected with a representative.The representative says that I did not order the item.Does this not mean that they have no reason to charge me?I do not understand how this is possible if I didnt order the item that has yet to be shipped.Business Response
