    Subject: Urgent: False Reporting of Debt and Lack of Notification Violates FDCPA and FCRA

    Complaint:

    I am filing this complaint against Aldous & Associates, P.L.L.C. for reporting a debt as "Paid in Full" that I never owed to them.

    The facts are:

    The debt was originally owed to Holton Wise Property Group. I paid Holton Wise directly on October 22, 2024, and I have proof of this payment.
    Holton Wise never notified me** at any point—by phone, mail, or any other method—that I owed them any balance or that my debt was transferred or sold to anyone else before they sent it to collection.
    I was completely unaware that I owed any money to Holton Wise or that my account had been transferred or sold to Aldous & Associates.
    Despite this, Aldous & Associates is reporting the debt as paid in full or settled when I did not owe them anything and never agreed to any transfer or collection. This is falsely damaging to my credit report.
    This misreporting violates the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), which requires that all credit information be accurate and verifiable.
    Additionally, their failure to notify me about the debt transfer or sale violates my rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), which mandates proper validation and notification of debt transfers.

    I demand that Aldous & Associates immediately delete this false, inaccurate, and unauthorized account from all credit bureaus.

    I expect a written confirmation within 15 days that this account has been fully removed. If they do not comply, I will escalate this matter to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), and pursue all legal remedies under the FDCPA and FCRA.
