      HORRIBLE!! Bad customer service they dont take care of existing customer issues they rather have new sales! LIES!LIES!LIES!They LIE about everything from tax credit incentive to serbice issues. I cannot get them to give me an answer for a repair its been more than 3 months WILL NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!Bunch of Lying Mormoms!! Do Not Do Business with them they will LiE to tour face!HORRIBLE COMPANY

      My major problem with this company is the sales ***resentative. Not only were we misinformed about the 1:1 credit for solar power, but we were manipulated into signing a contract by being offered an additional $1,000 signing bonus that would be given to us on installation day. The sales *** did not arrive on installation day. When I followed up with the sales *** several months after the solar panels had already been installed, they said they had a family emergency, so I gave them time and space. Since then, it has been radio silence. We were also misinformed about the tax credit that we would receive from installing the panels. They quoted the tax credit to be $20,000 so we wouldnt be paying the full amount financed, but it turns out that there is no tax credit available with my utilities company for installing solar panels. This is incredibly manipulative and predatory, and my family will not be able to see the return of investment from this project.

      My solar panels have been off for five months due to a roof replacement. I have sent all the necessary documentations into ****** to have the contractors. Come out to do my reinstall however, my reinstall was scheduled twice. The contractors never showed up. Ive been back-and-forth with the representative ************ ***** ****** and promises is being resolved and still nothing has happened. I have asked for reimbursement and ****** refuses to reimburse me since Im having to still make my solar panel payments, even though it has not been producing solar. Also, Duke energy reached out to me and stated that I no longer have a credits and theyre switching me over to a full electric bill so now Im gonna be charged double for panels and a full electric bill, customer service is the worst Ive ever had you keep going back-and-forth with different people and you constantly get information the contractors promise you one thing and never show up and then you have to suffer by having to pay all these . I would not recommend ****** to anybody !

      They promised us that we would never get a bill from the utility company and if we ever did to call them right away. We were told no batteries required and now they want to charge us for batteries.

      Horrible service now notting but lies stacked on top of lies the first *** quit before my system could get installed nobody called me till a month later that I called to see whats going on then I was assigned another *** which also quit and I still havnt been notified or assigned to a new *** ** still getting very high bills from tiko energy I called Lumio to figure out whats going on all Lumio said was contact you ***** company so ** other words not only I was lied to ** left to handle all this by my self take note ** a first time home buyer and just learning all these now as I go do not use Lumio they are very unprofessional and rude taking advantage of everyone they can

      Dont even want to give the one star. This company is the absolute WORST. They promise to warranty your roof however if you have a roof leak they will refuse to send someone out to see it unless you get on the roof and send them pictures. (Even then wouldnt the solar panels cover any potential damage ) so why do they require roof pictures ?? makes no sense unless its just another one of there scams to avoid paying for their c*** job and even crappier products. if your elderly or disabled or simply cant climb onto a roof your basically screwed and your warranty is worthless. I was able to get in attic and send pics (many of which show screws going through from where they placed the panels and they still said it was not good enough and they didnt think the leak was from the solar panels. They tell you the price they quote is because you will get a $20000 tax credit, that never comes. So the price stays in excess because you never receive the credit. The panels are not working properly because we still get $400-500 in electric bills thats on top of the $380 per month solar bill. This is the biggest scam and something needs to be done to stop them from scamming innocent people.

      The installation went fine. The equipment works pretty much as expected. My problems are with the misinformation and lies used by the sales representative to sell us the system and the horrible customer service. The sales representative told us that we would be getting 1:1 credit for the solar power we send back to the grid and that our electric bill would pretty much go away and be replaced by the loan payment for the equipment. However, in reality, there is not a 1:1 credit for the solar power we send back to the grid. As far as I can tell, no electricity provider in the state of ***** gives 1:1 credit for solar power. So that was a bold-faced lie. The buyback ratio varies but it is roughly 4:1. In other words, we have to send back 4 times the amount of power we pull from the grid to break even. The solar system was designed around the false premise of getting 1:1 credit for the solar power we send back to the grid and is therefore unable to produce 4 times the power we pull from the grid. Needless to say, our electric bill has not gone away. It is reduced, but by only about 35%. Not nearly enough to justify the loan payment that is almost as much as our previous average monthly electric bill. We will never see a return on our investment. And when I contacted Lumio to see if they would do anything to make this right, I was told that they can't do anything until the system has been in place for 9 months. In other words, they just blew me off. Absolutely horrible customer service combined with lying sales representatives.

      Lumio will take advantage of you. I live in ******* and cant stress enough to stay away from this business. Ive been lied to many times and never got the product. They are trying to bill me ridiculous amount of money because I cancel and are very threatening.

      I read all the negative reviews, but folded under the pressure of the sales folks, and boy do I regret it. Not only did it take 7 months for the install to be completed because of the slow speed of my local permitting office and the need for revisions, during which time I made double payments, I am not generating enough electricity to fully knock out my electricity bill in the height of summer. I also was promised I would be refunded for my double payments - surprise surprise, the refund through an e-gift card (which is frustrating enough) is "pending". Has been for months. It's been over a year since I started making payments, six months since I submitted the paperwork for my refund, and I can't even talk to the accounting department to get an update on why my payment is still "pending". Honestly the main point of this review is just to try and get the dang refund, and maybe help some other poor sap who was vaguely interested in solar say no to a pushy sales man.I am dreading having to work with the company to get my solar panels taken down to get my roof replaced, which is looking likely in the next year or two.
