Complaint: Subscription Cancellation Ignored + Improper Shipment of Medication
I am filing this complaint against ShedRX for two serious issues:
(1) Their continued refusal to process my subscription cancellation request, and
(2) Improper handling of prescription medication that requires refrigeration.
1. Cancellation Request Ignored
I submitted a request to cancel my subscription on May 25, 2025. The company responded the same day asking why I wanted to cancel, and I replied with my reasons. Since then, they have ignored multiple follow-up emails over several weeks. I have received no confirmation that my subscription was canceled and no acknowledgment of my repeated attempts to communicate.
2. Improper Handling of GLP-1 Medication
This company ships a GLP-1 medication, which is a type of injectable drug that must be kept refrigerated. However, the shipments I received were not sent via overnight delivery, and they consistently arrived warm, which compromises the medication’s safety and effectiveness.
This is a serious safety concern, and despite raising this issue in my communication with them, I have not received any satisfactory response or resolution.
Requested Resolution
Immediate cancellation of my subscription.
Written confirmation of the cancellation.
Investigation into their cold chain compliance for medication that requires refrigeration.
A refund for any charges made after May 25.
This behavior is unacceptable from a company handling prescription medications, and I believe it deserves urgent attention. I am prepared to escalate this further if necessary.

Hello,
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service I received from Shed RX. Despite paying $249 upfront for a telehealth appointment, the appointment did not take place. I waited for 30 minutes on the Zoom meeting, and no one joined or contacted me.
When I attempted to reach out to the company, I found it extremely difficult to get in touch with anyone. All communication channels were met with complete silence, except for one instance where a representative contacted me to explain that the doctor had an emergency and asked me to reschedule. However, the rescheduling process was also problematic, and I was unable to successfully reschedule my appointment.
To date, I have not received the service I paid for. I am requesting a full refund of $249 and a resolution to the appointment issue. I would appreciate a prompt response and solution to this matter.Business Response

I appreciate the prompt response, but I'm disappointed that my request for a refund or resolution regarding the time and money I've spent without receiving the services wasn't addressed. In fact, this critical issue was entirely overlooked in your response, despite being clearly communicated in our email exchanges. You only addressed the scheduling aspect, without acknowledging or providing any resolution to the concerns I raised about the lack of service and financial impact. Shed was able to arrange an appointment with the provider and the member has met with her provider. The payment the member made will be applied to her prescription processing today. Unfortunately, providers nor Shed can compensate members for provider missed appointments. I am writing to formally notify that shed RX that, based on my discussions with the Connecticut Attorney General’s office, is in violation of Connecticut Statute 19-906. Specifically, you have failed to comply with the telehealth requirements mandated by state law, including the necessary provisions for developing and implementing a care plan for patients.
Due to these violations, I intend to file a formal complaint with the Connecticut Department of Public Health, seeking action against your organization, including the potential revocation of your license to operate within the state. The failure to adhere to Connecticut’s telehealth regulations constitutes a serious legal and ethical breach, and I will pursue all appropriate legal avenues to ensure accountability.

Shedrx charged me 300$ for this months medication and never sent it. When I reach out to them via email, text or phone call no one responds. It’s been 3 weeks with no response or resolve. I have no way to cancel my subscription from their website or any way to get a refund because the website requires you to text or email to get a response which of done with no response. Purchased product. The given dosage was way below the standard starting dose in March. Informed the med had zero effect. I spoke with their MD, who was supposed to get an increased dose with the second shipment, and received the same dosage, if not less by 0.1-0.2 ml, with this shipment, when I was supposed to receive a much higher dose. I received shady responses from their "team" after informing them of their error in not following MD orders correctly, and that I still did not have much response to the dose that they gave me. They were supposed to give me the correct dose with the third shipment. I was charged $399 on 5/8/25. I never received the medication. I reached out to them several times, and they did not respond. In my spam this weekend, I saw an email from 5/22 stating I would need to make a follow-up appointment with their MD. This was a lie because the rx was for 3 months, and I already had an appointment prior. Note that this email arrived a full 2 weeks AFTER charging my credit card. I have attempted to cancel, get my money back that is owed for at least 2 months of payment--one for never receiving the product, and one for sending a dosage less than a 1/3 of what was ordered. Plus, the FDA has ruled that it is illegal now to sell compounded Tirzepatide since 3/19/2025. I was unaware of this until yesterday, upon an online search. This company is still selling this product to customers and taking their money, as is the company **************.Business Response

This company is severely corrupt. Per other complaints and my own experience, they make promises they do not keep. I do not believe they will credit my account in "5-10" days as they say after so much back and forth yesterday! This company advertised that with your paid monthly fee you would get medication and on going customer service support. I tired this for a month and received no support whats so ever. From day one it was a fight to get a one to talk to me. But the communication was so short they stuck around to finish the issue. All communication is only done by text or email. I got so feed up with the lack of support that o asked to cancel. They are refusing saying theres a two month commitment. Why should I pay for another month when there is no support whats? Company states that you must cancel by specified date in order to avoid being billed; however they do not provide any means of canceling on their website! On 4/25, I had a scheduled appointment with Shed RX, during which my medication was approved the following Monday. Despite assurances that the medication would be delivered to me within 5–8 business days from the appointment date, I still have not received it as of 5/19. The company failed to disclose that my medication would be sourced from a pharmacy overseas, leading to significant delays as it is now stuck in customs. This delay is unacceptable because the medication requires specific temperature controls (ice or room temperature up to 21°C) to remain safe and effective. I have no way of knowing whether the medication has been stored correctly during its time in customs, and I no longer feel safe using it. I have contacted CS multiple times to request a refund and cancel my subscription, as I no longer wish to do business with this company. Instead of addressing my concerns, they offered to delay billing for the second month, which is unacceptable. This med was urgently needed, and I informed the company that it had to arrive before my vacation on 5/13. They repeatedly assured me that the delivery timeline would be honored, yet it wasnt. Their customer service is inconsistent. First, they guaranteed delivery within 5–8 business days after my appt. Later, they claimed the timeline applied after the meds was sent to the pharmacy, but neither timeline has been honored. I am now left without the meds I need, feeling the effects of withdrawal, and frustrated by the lack of resolution. I am requesting a full refund for the service and an immediate cancellation of my subscription. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will dispute the charges with my credit card company.

I called Chase bank for advise on closing the dispute because i told them you guys offered to give a refund and they advised me against closing the dispute because in the event you guys do not give me a refund the likelihood of me winning my dispute is very low. They said if the company is willing to refund you they have the option to do so through the dispute process as well so they do not understand why you guys would not refund me.

I am rejecting this response because this complaint needs to remain open for as long as the issue is not resolved. I will personally come back and close it once a resolution has been reached. My bank has advised against closing the dispute because it’s sketchy on their end. Therefore it has not been closed. They have stated shedrx can initiate a refund even while the dispute is open and thats what needs to be done if they are stating they are willing to refund. If any meds are sent to me i will be refusing the packages as I have already stated, I am no longer doing business with this company because once I found out, they are shipping stuff from overseas. I am not comfortable taking these medications and that ship has sailed. I am not even wanting to do business with you anymore. it’s been about a month already. I have already blocked this company from taking my next month payment since they refuse to cancel my membership even though i havent received any meds.
