    Very quick and professional process getting my system installed here in ******. System was installed in just over a month, and just got my first DTE statement back after system was turned on and it was just $2. Very happy with the service

    If I could give this company zero stars, I would. My experience with Ambia Solar/Energy has been extremely disappointing, marked by poor communication, unprofessional behavior, and what I believe to be dishonest business practices.Our installation was scheduled for May 30, 2025. On the day of the appointment, the installer arrived, inspected our roof, and immediately stated that they would not proceed with the solar panel installation because the roof needed to be replaced. This was frustrating and unexpected, especially since no prior concerns had been raised during the sales process.We decided to cancel the project at that point. However, a representative from Ambia, ****, later contacted us and offered to include the cost of a new roof in our loan. We declined and reiterated our desire to cancel. **** then informed us that we would be charged a $650 cancellation fee. I strongly objected, as I believe this situation could have been avoided had the original salesperson, *****, properly inspected the roof during his initial assessment. After much back and forth, the company agreed to waive the cancellation fee.Shortly afterward, I received a $2,000 bill. When I questioned it, **** claimed it was for a separate servicethe sealing of our ducts. This was never clearly communicated to us as a standalone charge. During the sales process, ***** told us that duct sealing was a required part of the installation and did not mention that it was a separate service or that we would be liable for the full cost if the project was canceled. This feels misleading at ******* summary, I feel deceived and taken advantage of. I would not recommend Ambia to anyone. This experience has been frustrating, stressful, and costly.

    We were approached by 2 salesmen representing Ambia Solar in April 2024. At that I was interested in seeing more about the program. I asked for literature and they said they didnt have any but would have it sent out asap. they quoted me a price of $41,470 = 224.93/month and with a 30% tax credit it dropped the total to $29,000 = 156.88/month. It took over 6 months to get set up and never received anything in writing. Never received information for the tax rebate either.
    . They check our credit to see if we would be approved. After credit approval, I decide to proceed. we were contacted next by Everbright who was going to handle the payment. The monthly charge was to be $156.88/month but ended up being $165.69/ month then owing another $12,000.00 after 18 months. We found out that they had put it in my wife's name. That was never acceptable and told them that it had to be in my name. After contacting Chad Thurgood at Ambia and telling him this needed to be changed to my name, he said he would try and get back with me. I never could get in contact by phone with him again. he would never return a call.
    Ambia and Everbright had never sent any paperwork for me to review. Everything was to be done by emails. Trying to read a 43 page contract on-line is a joke. It is there way to scam us older generation. There is plenty more that could be listed but I think this is enough to let the next person to keep from getting scammed by these companies

    So I know the way these sales companies canvas an area they get dropped off and try to talk to as many homeowners as possible but for their sales person to ask to drink water out of my garden hose was extremely weird. I gave the person a drink out of my fridge but for goodness sake give these people some water before sending them to talk to 50 people

Our sales representatives operate independently and are responsible for managing their own hydration and nutrition to stay safe and comfortable throughout the day. That said, we take their well-being seriouslythey're trained and regularly reminded to carry water, wear sunscreen, and dress appropriately for working outdoors in the heat. We appreciate your concern and the opportunity to address it.

    Do not use Ambia. This is the most expensive mistake I have ever made. It has taken 6 months to get to this point. Despite our panels being turned on, Ambia is still not done with their job. The only thing that has gone right was the application and first install. Everything since then has been painful, difficult and time consuming. To start, after installation, it took a month for the inspection to happen. Ambia blamed the city. I dont believe that as I have never had those issues before. The first inspection failed. It took weeks to reschedule maintenance. The repeat inspection was schedule more quickly when I called in frequently. There were still issues with the work, but the inspector allowed the Ambia tech to correct them on the spot. The building inspection surprisingly passed the first time. The meter witness test took another 4-6 weeks to schedule. It failed the first time. The rescheduled test still had issues, but thankfully the Xcel person was willing to let Ambia correct them on the spot. I do not fault the technicians. All the technicians were friendly and punctual. The problem is with Ambia leadership. This company is so compartmentalized very few people actually know what is going on. We received more wrong information than anything. In most cases, I do not believe this was ************** every step of this process, we had to call Ambia to get anything done. Instead of using case managers, they have departments that do not communicate or work together. No one is aware of what the other is doing which leads to chaos and misinformation. On multiple occasions we were told we did not need to be present for that step. Every time we were told that, we needed to be there. Ambias lack of concern for their business practices is concerning at best and fraudulent at worst. They take payment upfront and nothing matters after that. We got shoddy work, failed inspections and months of having to track down employees to do their jobs.

    My wife and I were approached by two door to door salesman offering free solar. He then put us in touch with a guy name ***** ****** who substantiated this and many many times told us it be $0 out of pocket. It was a special program that they were doing with consumers energy and we both felt wow, this is awesome. My wife signed a contract and didnt pay attention to a line indicating we would need to pay $198.13 a month for 360 months, or about $59,000. We would have never ever signed up for this if we knew it would cost us anything, but we were flat out lied to. They deceived us and this is putting a financial burden on us. Very upset with this company and how they do business. They lie lie lied to our face!

That being said, on the first page of the agreement your wife signed on October 11, 2024, it clearly outlines the financial obligations for the system as well as our 10-day (without penalty) cancellation policy. This policy is in place to give customers time to review the agreement in full and make an informed decision that is appropriate for their personal finances. Although you may incur a cancellation fee after the 10th day, customers can still cancel at any time up until the installation has started. We understand that unexpected costs can be frustrating, which is why we strive to provide transparency in our agreements.

    Their sales people are awful! Our neighborhood is private and does not allow soliciting. They stay all day and knock on doors and ring doorbells numerous times through the dayup until 9pm some nights. They are extremely rude. They shove feet in doors to get people not to shut it. They say We wouldnt want to work with you anyway when someone says no. We have called the police on them numerous times!

    This company does not meet professional standards in its customer service and responsiveness. They seem to lack effective communication, especially when addressing customer concerns. In my experience, issues were ignored until significant complaints were made, which is not an acceptable way to conduct business. I cannot recommend this company for solar panel installations and suggest exploring alternative providers.

    We were supposed to have it done back in October 2024, they rescheduled twice and when we expressed that we didn't trust they would show up the 3rd time, the sales *** stopped contacting us. The 3rd time they did show up, but at 4pm just to put up brackets, and in ** it gets dark at 4pm in Oct/Nov. It then took them another 2 months, with all the panels sitting on our yard, to finally put it up but it took another 2 times for the electricians to come by to wire everything. Our house is not that big. It shouldn't have taken 6 times just to put up 8 panels and wire everything together. It still isn't running and we were supposed to have it done by October 2024 and it is already end of Jan 2025! And the audacity for them to try to schedule a time to come "finish" it the day we were leaving for our vacation and how they "wanted to finish this for us before the new year", mind you, with no communication of when they were coming until the day before. What a joke. They still had to schedule 2 more times after we got back to finish wiring. Does it **** * times to install solar panels? All I know is that our sales *** promised that it was easy and their team is fast and efficient and can get it up and going so quickly. It has now been 3+ and counting and still nothing.
