This is most annoying. I have just emailed the corporate office. The rainbow bank always takes my money and then thank God I always get a receipt. This has happened 3 times they never credit my account if I go to any other branch. My cash money is deposited there immediately. There is an issue with the rainbow bank ATM.

Beware if you want your credit to be impacted negatively. Absolutely no communication will be sent to you, that your auto payment is no longer covering the minimum. I usually plan to pay a little more than the minimum but sometimes, I rely on the auto payment to cover whats due. Found out once they hit my credit for a 30 day late charge, that I didnt pay 40 dollars. Tried to dispute with them literally the day of, that theyre system if flawed, and if Im late they should notify me promptly, by mail, a call, anything that their system doesnt pull out amount due.America First Credit Union

AFCU is OFF the Charts . . . Not What You THINK!During my limited new customer/depositor interface was not impressed. ****** cautious on FRAUD to the point of adnauseam! They ask tons of questions every time you reach out to them, delay your deposits with 30 day holds, keep you on the phone for hours. Talked to a person called ******, who would never give me his last name, phone, or email contact info so we could communicate on my transaction. He told me no worries as I am the only ****** here! Well, when I called and told others in their *********** what ****** said, they laughed as we have over a hundred PARKERS! ****** also told me that he would open my new savings account upon receipt of my Cashier's Check which I promptly obtained and mailed overnight, That he'd call the issuing bank and get a verbal clearing to expedite the process, enabling him to open a CD Account once he received the check, he never did. More Calls, More Delays, More Questions, Locked out of my new account online, and the list goes on. I don't think this credit union is named correctly, America First CU is a joke, it should be America's LAST Credit Union! Last in the sense it would be your last and final choice if you were hard up to conduct business with them. Recommend taking your hard earned money elsewhere, you'll be glad you did. Now, I have to wait 30 DAYS to close my account and get my funds back, losing interest and time on a six-figure deposit, that's right a six-figure deposit, and I even have to pay to wire the deposited funds back to me! It takes most bank 10 days to clear a cashier's check, if not sooner, so why do they need 30 days. I'll tell you why, so they can increase their balance sheet numbers and earn money on my money, a TOTAL SCAM. Totally a waste of time and a loss of money, unbelievable! Trust Me, go elsewhere, you won't regret it!America First Credit Union

I paid my car loan off 5/9/2024 and I went into a branch in *********. I was told at this time is would take 4 to 6 weeks and I would have the title. I recvd a paid in full letter from AFCU on 5/29/2024. I called AFCU and was told the lein was electronic send to DMV on 5/24/2024. Give it 4 to 6 weeks to get title in mail. It is 7 weeks tomorrow and no title. I went to ******** branch on 7/11/ 2024 and spoke with ****** and was told it was never sent to DMV due to a computer glitch that occured. Just got sent today because I went into the branch complaining. I was told it takes 72 hours before DMV would receive it. I was very upset due to all the lies that was told previous. ******* claims she can not expedite it from the **** I think this is a bunch of garbage. I have travels plans with a flight included I thought I would have had the title by now because I do not want to leave and the title sits in my mail box and become stolen. I have to change everything because I was told it will take another 4 to 6 weeks. I do not believe this institution. I have to wait 3 months to receive a title that should have only taken a couple of weeks. Very unfair to me.America First Credit Union

Beware getting a vehicle loan with this company. We bought a truck through them in 2021. We paid the truck within a year of purchase and the company refuses to send us the Vehicle Title. We have since moved out of state and we need to register our vehicle with the new state and they won't because AFCU won't give us our Vehicle Title. We have been fighting with them for years. We finally had someone from AFCU (in 2024) say they'd send the title and instead they sent a lien release for the vehicle, which does us NO good because the *** in ************** said they can't accept that. They need the actual title. We called AFCU again telling them that and they basically said it wasn't their problem. Long story short, if you borrow from AFCU for your vehicle they won't send you your vehicle title. They don't care that you paid off your loan and they OWE IT TO YOU. They don't care how long you have been a customer. They don't care that you moved out of state. They don't care. Is this even legal for a company to do this?America First Credit Union

America First Credit Union keep charging me a overdraft fee and not letting get a chance to transfer money from savings to my checking to clear the overdraft. They're getting outrageous with the same day overdraft fee. I'm about to leave all banks, they care about you all they want is your money.America First Credit Union

I have been an AFCU member for over 30 years, but recent developments really have me questioning my future with them. I had a car loan financed through them that was paid off within 5 months of its inception. When I called the gap insurance to cancel and get a refund they informed me the dealership had already canceled the gap insurance. After spending hours on the phone trying to get a hold of the dealership they informed me that AFCU had sent them a request for the gap insurance to be canceled. They had sent AFCU a check and that it had been cashed. I had the dealership send me emails with the pictures of the cashed check, and the request form AFCU had sent them. I have called AFCU many times and provided them with all the pictures and information they need to get this resolved, yet nothing seems to happen. They told me that they have no record of the transaction.. Im not sure why AFCU thinks they need to take it upon themselves to cancel a product that I paid for. Im hoping this complaint puts a little fire under their butts to get to the bottom of where my refund isAmerica First Credit Union

Applied for a CD with America First, and they ran a credit check without making it clear there would be one. With a CD, you're providing them the privilege of using your money, not the other way around; there should be no credit check. Most places don't require credit checks for CDsthey hide credit checks intentionally. When I called to tell them I was upset over the credit check and wanted to cancel my application, they said they would suppress the credit check, but they never did. So now I'm left without a CD and a credit check on my record, unfairly damaging my credit for the next 2 years.Do not bank with America First.America First Credit Union

I have an auto loan with this credit union. I decided to payoff the loan. I scheduled 3 large payments from my bank over a 3 day period. For no reason they cancelled 2 of them without notifying me. When I contacted them they denied cancelling them despite my looking right at the cancellation listed on my account summary. I asked for my payoff amount if electronically funds sent today and was told they could not give it to me because it accrued daily interest and they didnt know when it would clear. I said every other bank will give a payoff amount and a pay by date. Nope! not them. So I was left guessing the payoff when I sent the wire transfer today. What financial institution cannot manage to give you a payoff amount? And why could they not give me a reason my scheduled installments were cancelled? And why did they cancel them and not notify me? And from other reviews it appears they dont send the title after payoff. Worst experience ever.America First Credit Union

I had been a customer for ever 10 years with *****************************************. I got scammed out of thousands of dollars in a week I noticed in my online banking. I called in complained they were gonna put a stop on the card to stop it. When there was still money there they continued to let them take my money for days. I have a debit card with them since start and put a limit of no more than 25$ it would let not let me go over for safety. I talked to several people they said it would be good. But they let them keep taking my money until I was in the hole for hundreds more than just my savings drained to pay the card im between jobs needed the money but now I cannot pay bills gonna lose my phone my insurance probably my car cannot buy food which would be fine i could pay for it if I had the money i earned and worked hard for. shouldn't have happened even if it was me making charges which I wasn't I asked they explained that it never would. Turns out that was lie. There advice was to switch accounts get a new card but the money they let them take means the new account would be same in the red not even gonna honor the 25$ limit. Avoid the credit union they make promises about protecting you but they will not. they let 139 ***** charges through r ***** charges and 9 ****** charges through. And told me talk to the merchant who scammed me. Of course the scammers aren't giving up a ***** of they stole. Do not put your valuable savings in that bank 1 scam they won't help and your money goes bye bye.America First Credit Union
