      All that I say is my own personal opinion, with over seven years association with this company.The equipment installed was the absolute minimum, only on the front and rear doors, nothing on the windows. Of which there are several.Month after month I was alway late with my payment. By the time I got my statement which took two and a half weeks to get, I write a check put it in the mail two and a half weeks for them too get it, its late, due on the twentieth of the month. On the twentieth they are lighting up my phone accusing me of being late with payment. Alder applied my payments to other customers accounts Ive not gotten a statement in over a year, expecting to be precise and accurate in where to send my bill. Alder cashed a check for payment and not give me credit. Im done and disappointed and, disgusted!********************

      Alder continues to charge my bank account although I have canceled the service! They claim it can take up to 30 days to cancel membership and will charge for the next month if the membership hasnt been cancelled by the company. They claim that they will reimburse my account after the 30 days. I did not agree to this extra charge. They are stealing money from consumers to try and earn interest on non costumer moneys by charging their account and reimbursing 30 days later! This company can not be trusted!!! They are thieves and they dont care because the lack of regulation allows them to steal from the consumer!!!

      Company took a payment out my account without my permission please be careful if u pay by a card they keep the card information on file and use when they want. Without permission. I am trying to locate the perspective people to report them to

      I have had Alder for 5 years. They are a worthless, non- responsive company with faulty equipment. My contract expires June 16 and I tried contacting them to let them know I did not want to renew, just close my account. I've been transferred numerous times, been denied speaking to a supervisor, told I need to sign a paper that they never send, etc. They will not close my account. I will not pay them anymore money but they will probably ruin my credit. Please can you help? Thank you.

      This is Day 2 of my 30 day free trial for Alder Security, Im in the military serving in the ************* Navy currently active duty and due to my assignment I requested a cancellation and to make it easier the equipment wasnt even shipped out to me yet, I have talked to three different personnel from the company and the only thing they can do is give me a verbal confirmation letting me know that the cancellation is being processed and they will send me a letter in the mail confirming it was done, as well as a refund within 7 to 10 business days. This lack of making sure the customers are secure in their request needed is very unprofessional, lack of integrity and overall scamming people for money. I kept all of my emails just in case they try and say i didnt attempt to cancel in time. Please dont waste your time with this company. Never experienced a company that only gives out verbal information and i paid them and didnt get back any receipt for the order.

      Misleading and deceptive marketing - I signed up for what I thought was a 12-month contract. After a year of disappointing service, I called to cancel and return the monitoring equipment, at which point I was informed that the documentation sent had a 60-month term, that I never would have agreed to if not placed into the contract after agreeing to a 12-month term. They agreed to cancel for a sum of $2,436.06, which is greater than 90% of the supposedly remaining 48 months on the contract and further evidence of their unfair practices. These people will straight lie to you from the initial sales call until customer service. This is an entire company built on scam marketing. They have been the subject of multiple class action suits, the loser in a suit filed against them by ADT, and under investigation for YEARS. Just search "Inside Edition Alder Security."

      I hate to even give one star to this business because even that is undeserved. My elderly grandmother was convinced by one of their sales guys named ****** that this system would be better in every way compared to ******. He told her that his company would pay off the balance of her Vivint contract which was around $800. He said no problem at all that their company had paid off higher contracts before. We have submitted multiple times the documents they requested to payoff balance and nothing has ever come through. Then proceeded to tell her that the picture quality of their cameras was far superior to Vivint cameras. Lies. 100% Vivint camera quality is better. Not to mention one of our cameras stopped working a month after it was installed and we did not have access to view anything from the backyard. We could not get it to work with all the troubleshooting they have available. We start to have issues with our two other cameras, over the garage and doorbell. Again, we tried all the troubleshooting tips. Nothing worked! Was on the phone several times for long periods of time following the same directions they have available online or on the app. Still would not work! I even remember one of the technicians recommending me use a sharp knife as a screwdriver. *****, right?? Finally a technician comes out and they want to charge us for the visit. Even though their products arent working at all. Technician gets everything working after several hours. Yet, in the same day after he leaves the panel sends out a message that the panel isnt connected to the system and proceeds to tell us each and everyday since then up until a few weeks ago when the panel just COMPLETELY STOPS WORKING!! The screen is black and weve tried unplugging it and plugging back in. Nothing! Yes, the plug works. Weve plugged other items in to check. Weve tried to call and get someone out but again they want to charge us for their products not working! I wish we could afford to cancel!

      On 6/2/23 Alder offered me a contract of 3 cameras 8 sensors and an alarm panel. The tech came out h installed the alarm panel and 2 cameras, 2 sensors. He stated that he would return the following day to complete the job. The tech did not return. A few days later my alarm started alarming in the middle of the night. I called customer service and explained my problem. I explained that I had to turn the system off and now do not have any protection and I am elderly and live alone. My alarm is my only security. The customer service lady stated that she could send someone back out to correct the problem JULY 26th, 23. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that there wasn't a supervisor available and that she would have one to call me the following day. As I continued to demand to speak with a supervisor, she placed me on hold twice for about 30 min. each time I believe hoping that I would hang up. (The supervisor never called). **************** did not care, did not express any concern. She then changed the date and said they can come out JULY 2nd, 23. I explained that it was urgent for a tech to return in at least 72 hours. I was told that they had other customers to attend to. Bottom line. This company is bad! This company needs to be forced to close. Bad customer service. The techs do a half job. You cannot trust these people. If you see the name ALDER SECURITY..........RUN!!!!!!!

      I was told I had a 30 day trial I can cancel if I didnt like. I got billed before 30 days. I call to see why I was billed and ******* said I was misinformed my trial was only 3 days. I talked to someone higher up and she basically said ******* lied to me. Only thing she could do is give me one month credit. The door camera doesnt work. If I cancel Im responsible for $3,000. I can not reach ******* who signed me up for it. Its like the whole company is in a scam together.
