The person arrived at our house to spray. He sat in the van for ********************************************** front only did half of the front yard. He then went to the back and spent a total of less than five minutes. He then left. They claimed he sprayed for pests and mosquitos. He never sprayed around the foundation of the house or in the garage. We asked them to refund the automatic payment and they said no because they offered to come back out to complete the service and I said no because we have had problems with them in the past completing inadequate service.Business Response

I regret to inform you that my experience with Saela Pest Control has been far from satisfactory. Despite paying a significant amount to have rats eliminated from my property, the results have been disappointing:Ineffective Treatments: The technicians came out repeatedly, but the rat problem persists. If anything, I now have more rats than before.Poor Customer **********************: When I called to express my concerns and request an exit from my contract, I encountered resistance. The refusal to accommodate my request was disheartening.Collections Threat: To add insult to injury, I am now being sent to collections for refusing to pay the fee to terminate my contract.I urge others to reconsider using Saela Pest Control for their pest management needs. Beginning September of 2022 signed up for 1 year service... last fall attempted to cancel service and they responded we had an 18 month contract... now, after 20 mo ths they are claiming we have a 2 year contract... both statements concerning 18 month and 2 year contracts are lies, outright fraud and theft by deception... most crooked, dishonest and incompetent company I have seen!Business Response

I called initially to terminate in 4/2024. I had to cancel due to financial hardship. I had a service coming out and was told that this last service would be $44 and after that it would be canceled. I was not told I would be charged a fee to cancel at that time. I received a text that service would be coming out May 10, 2024. I was confused so I called. I was on the phone for ************************************************** different prices to stay and asked if I wanted to transfer it to someone? At the end they hit me with an early termination fee that was huge. Very disappointed that it ended this way. Not everyone can afford these services and hard times happen. I explained that I couldn't afford the termination fee and they said I'd have to be in bankruptcy to get this "escalated". Very upset. I was extremely nice during the process and by the end I was in tears.Business Response

5/4 I cannot get a hold of the company. They have an answering service that does not know they exist. I cannot get a hold of Saela for my pest control. I've called, emailed, called again. I do not know how to get a hold of the company, and at this point I need to cancel my services.Business Response

Saela came to my 80 year old mothers door and talked here into a pest control service that she did not solicit. She is extremely deaf and thought she was only getting a one time service until they contacted her letting her know they were coming again. She contacted them and they told her she had signed a contract and she would have to pay $550 to get out of the contract. I have talked to them and explained she can not hear and did not know what she had done. They are unwilling to break the contract. I would never recommend them. If they are so unwilling to make an exception for one 80 year old deaf widow then they are not the kind of company I would support. They came to her door on March 23 for $70.00. Seala Pest Control -knocked on the door and my wife signed up for a one-time service for $50. They said she had to sign up for a year minimum, but could cancel after the first service. They said she had 4 days to cancel, but 5 or 6 days later would not be a problem. Now they will not less us cancel and want to charge a 50% cancellation fee of $500 (half the yearly service). It appears many people in my neighborhood have fallen victim to this company, locking us in for yearly services that we do not need. We are happy to pay the $50 for the one-time service, but refuse to be on the hook for another $4-500.Business Response

The comapny, Saela Pest, Licensed by: ******************* of ************ was doing business in the State of Colorado at all times relevant to the events described in the Complaint.3. Customer was unaware of a ********************** contract and Saela Pest acted out of bad faith.4. Saela canceled multiple services in which the plaintiff was still making payments on account.5. Customer has complained about mice, insects, and snakes due to the lack of services Saela provided. 6. Customer has damage from the insects and mice mentioned above to items stored at the service location. 7. A sales person came from Saela and promised service that was way better than Aptive. I cancelled aptive and signed up for Saela 2 days back.Since then 4 different people have reached out to me on text claiming to be from Saela. 2 of them offering services that the sales person said were free for money. In May of 2023, I hired Saela Pest Control in ********* to address ants and spiders at my home. Despite an agreed price of $99 per month, they charged $149 and their three-month treatment proved ineffective. Despite my repeated requests via email and phone to cease services, they persisted in visiting and billing me. Eventually, an unpaid bill was forwarded to a collection agency. This unprofessional and careless handling by the company, marked by overcharging and ignoring customer communications, culminated in a feeling of being defrauded, especially after paying nearly $450 for unsatisfactory service.Service and Effectiveness:In the summer of 2023, I hired Saela Pest Control to address issues with ants and spiders around your property. Despite their treatments over three months, the problem persisted. This indicates that the methods or chemicals used were ineffective, despite their promises to resolve these pest issues.Billing Issues:The agreed-upon charge was $99 per month, but Saela Pest Control ********* billed me $149 per month instead. This overcharge was overlooked initially, but it represents a significant billing discrepancy that adds to the overall dissatisfaction.Communication and Unwanted Services:After three months of unsuccessful treatments, I communicated through multiple emails and a telephone calls that I no longer wanted their services. However, they continued to visit your property. This disregarding of my clear communication further adds to the frustration.Further Billing and Collections:Despite instructing them to stop the service, I received another bill for $149, which I chose not to pay because the service was both ineffective and unrequested. Subsequently, this bill was sent to a collection agency in **********, complicating the situation as I now need to deal with a collections process.Business Response
