I worked with Acclaimed on a warranty issue for a hot water heater in my home. I will start by saying you need to read your contract and understand what the warranty does and doesn't cover. The contract is clear and will ensure you don't have false expectations. I had an issue with how my claim was being handled and both my sales person and the upper management were very responsive and did everything they could to resolve the issue. I appreciated how quickly my water heater was fixed especially since this was right before the thanksgiving holiday.Acclaimed Home Warranty, LLC

Negative 5 stars , just purchased a home warranty with our new home. Husband hung up a TV mount on the stud ( where you are suppose to hang one) and hit a wire to our dining light. In our 30 plus years together this has NEVER happened and we have moved our fair share. According to acclaimed if it was a wiring issue it would be covered. After the electrician came out and determined it was the wiring, acclaimed warranty called me back the following day and said NOTHING would be covered. After dealing with my real estate agent about the issue. Acclaimed warranty called me back to tell me they would be willing to cover 50%. I guess covering 50% now for a customer is better than losing tons of more new clients in the future. This company needs to do better for their customers and not just take funds from them. Another unsatisfied customer.Acclaimed Home Warranty, LLC

Hello ********************,
First and foremost, we want to let you know how much we appreciated you as our customer. Our goal is to provide our customers with the best home warranty experience. In order for Acclaimed to maintain that experience for every customer we must stay within the guidelines of the given service contract.
We have thoroughly reviewed your contract and claim regarding the electrical issues. The technician notified acclaimed that the issue is caused by wires in the wall that were damaged from screws going into them. Unfortunately, this failure was not caused by normal wear and tear to the wiring. Per the contract ***************** 1) AHW's liability is limited to failures due to normal wear and tear during the term of the contract. Although the claim has been denied, the sales representative in your area wants to assist with a portion of the cost above and beyond the contract. Acclaimed had notified you that we would like to assist with $255.00, and you would be responsible for the remaining amount of $255.00. You did not want to move forward with this option and Acclaimed has closed the claim.
Acclaimed is happy to assist our homeowners to repair or replace covered systems if they fail due to normal usage during the contract term. State regulation requires Acclaimed Home Warranty to follow the guidelines of the contract with each service request placed to be equitable to all our customers. It is the official stance of Acclaimed that all procedures required in identifying the service were followed. Unfortunately, the issue does not fall within the guidelines of the contract coverage. We again apologize that we are unable to move forward with this claim.Review fromTaneshia S

We have been without ac in ***** for over 2 months now. This is our second year with this warranty company. I have an asthmatic husband and child, and our internal home temperature has been 89 degrees or higher for at least 6 weeks. ***** is ******* that we always talk to, and he could care less about helping the customers. We have had 3+ companies come out to find a solution. Each company tells us that the warranty company will have them bandaid the problem instead of actually doing what we pay them for. Then, *** tried to charge us another $75 service fee for a recall. This company is terrible.Acclaimed Home Warranty, LLC

Hello **************,
Thank you for contacting us regarding the experience you have had. First and foremost, we want to let you know how much we appreciate you as a customer. Our goal is to provide you, the customer, with the best home ********************** experience. We welcome all feedback from our customers to continuously improve our services. We understand that it is frustrating to have an AC system that is not working properly during the summer months. Acclaimed and the contractors understand that your service needs to be completed as quickly as possible.
When a contractor provides a diagnosis of failure they will inform Acclaimed what the best course of action is to move forward in order to get the system operating properly, whether it be repairs or replacement. The technician from your claim in May let us know that they had replaced the blower motor for the system and the unit was working properly once the repair had been completed. Per the contract, services performed by contractors authorized by AHW shall be guaranteed for thirty days from the date of initial service. If you experience failures after thirty days, it requires a new claim for an additional service call fee. When you informed Acclaimed you were still experiencing failures with the unit in August, the thirty day recall period had lapsed. However, Acclaimed did waive the new fee and have approved the technician to replace the furnace as there were indications the heat exchanger had cracked and the blower motor was in failure, which was affecting the cooling of the system.
Acclaimed understands that your service needs to be completed as quickly as possible and work diligently to service all homeowners as quickly and efficiently as possible. Thank you again for letting Acclaimed review your concerns. Please let us know if you have further questions or concerns, or if there is anything else we can do for you.Review fromMarina C

Poor service, poor communication, poor quality. One of the worst HW I have seen. Claims are denied, nothing gets fixed, and no one returns your calls. Do not recommend. Waste of time and money.Acclaimed Home Warranty, LLC

Hello ************************,
First and foremost, we want to let you know how much we appreciated you as our customer. Our goal is to provide our customers with the best home warranty experience. In order for us to maintain that experience for every customer we must stay within the guidelines of the given service contract. We apologize that we were unable to meet your expectations.
We have thoroughly reviewed your contract and coverage. We understand you had frustrations regarding your dishwasher claim. The initial visit from the technician in June showed there were no mechanical failures with the dishwasher. When we call you to discuss the findings, you had informed us the dishwasher was still not rinsing the soap. Therefore, we sent the technician back out to re-evaluate the situation. The technician went back to your home with a different detergent and rinse aid and ran the dishwasher through a cycle. The once the cycle was complete, the dishwasher did not have soap residue remaining. The technician stated you did not want to use the dishwasher soap and rinse aid. The issue with the dishwasher is a result of the natural dishwashing soap being used. The technician and Acclaimed have both explained to you that it would be best to run a commercial dishwasher cleaner through it while the unit is empty, change detergents, and add rinse aid. If you do not use rinse aid, the unit will build up a film on the dishes over time. Acclaimed has spoken to you multiple times regarding these findings. As there are no mechanical failures, there are no repairs we can assist with in regard to the dishwasher.
We also understand you have concerns regarding your recent plumbing claim. We opened the claim stating there was water coming from the ceiling in the garage. The technician did not find any plumbing lines in the area that was getting wet. The technician believes it is an issue with the deck above the garage or foundation near the deck. Acclaimed covers for plumbing lines within the foundation of the home, but does not cover any structural issues such as the foundation or deck.
We apologize we were unable to assist with these two claims. We are happy to provide our homeowner with the services and coverage we offer. However, to be equitable to all homeowner, we must follow the guidelines of the contract.Review fromHector Luis F

1 starHorrible..first charge for each visit service fee of $60..then find any reas9n to deny claim. So far 3 different claims and all 3 rejected..what's the purpose of a warranty if they don't cover. Won't be renewing after this 1st year and 1st time homeowner.Review fromKeith

1 starWeve had AHW since we moved in our house 3 years ago. In that time weve only filed 4 claims and 2 of the claims we filed were a terrible experience. For the first one, I had to find a contractor on my own to repair my septic because they didnt have a contractor. I did, and paid the bill. When I turned it in to AHW for reimbursement they deducted the $75 service call fee from it! They didnt create the service call I did! This second one is the last time they will s**** us. They sent a contractor to fix our water heater and they left it in a worse state than when they arrived. When I called AHW all they would say is that my appliance was still under the manufacturers warranty and there wasnt anything they would do for me. I needed to contact ******I asked for a refund of my monthly payment they deducted for NEXT month a couple days ago and they refused. I cancelled my contract and they get to keep my money for a month they are not providing service! This company is beyond shady!Review fromnicolas z

1 starI had my ac compress break down one week ago on Monday and I am still waiting for it to be fixed. My house I tried to tough it out and it became 98 degrees. I was irritable and tired for my 12hr shift healing people as a nurse in a local hospital. I had to stay at a hotel and I am still staying in it. I am **** downs down the drain. My house is old they told me they cant find a compressor. Replace the whole god dam unit or reimburse me to get it fix my self. I better get hotel reimbursement. I will be reaching out to see if its illegal to leave my house at a 100 degree temperature for almost three weeks now. Cheap company. This is my first review in anything in life.
