Would rate them with a negative number if possible!!!!!. We have had a business account here for over 15 years. We had 3 check that were printed with our account number and someone else's name on them hit our account. The amount of $27,000 was removed from our account. I noticed the evening of the day after they "posted " to our account . I called the **************** first thing the next business day and was told money would be in my account with in 24 hours. the following Monday I had to call them and was told that the associates that had told me 24 hrs were wrong and it would take up to 10 days to see the money . I have been on the phone multiple times every day since the 23rd and every time I am told something else. On Sept 3, I get a call from the ********** informing me that I didnt file my dispute for the fraud charges with in the 24 hr time frame so my claim is denied and I am out the money that was clearly taken by fraudulent checks. All i got was " I am so sorry and I know how you feel"

I find it ridiculous the mountain America puts holes on certified funds checks. They didn't used to do that I realize I'm responsible for any bounced checks but they won't even cash anything anymore it's really frustrating and it's causing my business a lot of trouble. Some of the people are not very nice in customer service and the ** machine is a piece of junk. I will be doing less business with these guys

Using this address since it is HQ. Disappointed with company as a whole. I have had accounts with them for nearly 30yrs. Last couple of years i have been hit with fraud issues. I had info stolen, may have been my fault trying to purchase products off fake website. Had cards closed and issued new debit/credit cards. After this someone called in to mtn America telling clerk can i verify account with drivers license#, after failing other security qs. Clerk accepted and changed my phone# to the callers. I then proceeded with changing to an all new account. Since i have not visited any fake product websites. All new debit/credit cards, just had a card charged for something that was not me. Had to cancel card and request another. To me now it seems like inside job? Also bad experience with refinance of mortgage. Over 800 credit, yet they would not give me the lowest rate at the time. Ridiculous, Now currently looking to leave altogether once i find another bank/credit union.

My ex wife is an employee there. She used her employee access to illegally access my accounts and information. The bank investigators found she had in fact used her employee access to ILLEGALLY access my account on multiple occasions. Instead of firing her or prosecuting her, they protect her from prosecution. Im now in the process of filing a suit and working with the *** to have it investigated.

My adult son bought a vehicle in June of 2023, it was financed thru Mountain America Credit Union. I was advised to use the phrase "Predatory Lending Practices", to describe how this financial institution handled this loan. My son has learning and comprehension disabilities, he reads at a second to third grade level. There is absolutely no way he could have read and understood the paper work attached to this purchase. Also, no one could have approved him for a loan of $68,188.00. My sone is on Social Security and he receives a small amount of money weekly from a trust. In the last twenty years he has worked for a couple of weeks at a few jobs. Obviously nobody did a job search. Also nobody called the trustees to see how much money he was receiving. The vehicle he bought sold for $47,000.00 and he still owed $21,188.00 on his trade-in. This vehicle was repossessed in March of this year. It was sold at auction for $39,700.00. The loan company is now demanding he pay them $28,300.00 in monthly payments of $448.00.

We reported a card lost or stolen. *************************************************************************************************************************** *************, ********. How does a closed card get reopened? Especially one that supposed to be permanently deactivated.Present day, there was some strange activity on our account again! we spent a half an hour 30 minutes on the phone with the fraud department. We had our entire account frozen. The fraud department said to walk into the local branch and they were going to open up a new account. Itll be very easy after arriving at the local branch in *********, ***** the banker we sat down with said there was hardly any notes on there and started to grill us like he was an FBI agent. Decided not to argue with him as we discussed everything with the fraud department and we were doing what they asked us to do. That unprofessional jerk, couldnt shut up and as we were walking out the door, kept loudly telling us how were doing the wrong thing. How can we be doing the wrong thing? They let someone clean us out twice! They are the ones who should be investigated for not keeping accounts safe! You cant tell me its not an inside job, allowing lost cards, that are supposed to be permanently closed, to miraculously become active again almost a year later and wipe someones account completely out. Then after getting caught, have the nerve to argue with us! Shame on you!

MACU locked my card due to fraudulent activity and I only found out because I went to get gas and it didn't work. I called customer service and that's when they told me why my card was locked, after being on hold for 15 minutes and after reviewing the charges, I disclosed it wasn't fraud. However, they said they HAVE to send a new card and it would take **** days but I could expedite it for a 30$ FEE.Every time I asked this customer service rep a question, I was put on hold for 10 minutes. This seems like a quick money grab to me! We determined the charges were NOT fraud but they still canceled the card and INSISTED I had to pay a fee. Unfortunately after being on the call for 50 minutes and only talking to someone for 7 of that because this person didn't know anything, I had to hang up and go back to work. Not everyone is on bankers' hours! How is this legal, why do I have to pay the expedition fee after we declared no fraudulent activity took place and why was the card canceled and not just temporarily frozen? In addition, why wasn't an automated text/ call or email sent when my card was marked as having fraudulent charges?

I understand the credit union's loss prevention caution. When they lose money I lose money. I grit my teeth a little bit every time they stop a debit transaction with one of my over seas suppliers, but it is the cost of doing business in a world where bad guys think they should get my money. They need to check, and in fact they have caught bad guys twice. *****!!!Now the for the thing that I am very angry about. I HATE THE ***** *****!!! It is demoralizing to make me, a customer, argue with this thing. I already know that it cannot help me, but if I ever get tricked into cooperating with ANY of its suggestions it resets me back to the beginning. There are two dishonest paths in this phone logic. 1. For me to better help you, I need to get some information." I have already asked for a representative. I do not want the robot's help! I have clearly asked for a representative. Any progress I have made towards getting to talk to a human has been lost. 2. "First I need to get some account information". THIS IS THE BIGGEST LIE!!! Once again progress made towards getting to talk to a human has been lost, apparently because now I have just consented to listen to the ***** ask me about the 140 things he can do with the account info I just gave him. NO!!!! NO!!!! NO!!!! I use the **** the web, and the *** when my problems can be handled by a machine. When I ask for a representative I KNOW I WANT A HUMAN!!!!THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A FIVE STAR REVIEW, BUT I AM GIVING TWO BECAUSE OF HOW MAD I AM RIGHT NOW!!!!
