Unauthorized and unfair billing. Horrible customer service.
The battery in my truck died. Once replaced their device would not operate. After at least an hour on the phone when they kept telling me I had a violation they gave me a code to unlock the device. They then scheduled a service call. A week later my contract was up so I scheduled the removal. Checking my charge card I noticed a $51.75 charge for the code, $138.69 for the service call (which wasn't needed, even the tech said so) and $480.24 charge for the removal. They never told me about the charges for the code or service call and although the removal charge was high there wasn't anything I could do. The removal charges in the contract "vary". I called to complain about the charges after the device was removed and my contract was complete. They informed me I was going to be charge $75 for inquiring about the charges. Not only did they charge me the $75 plus tax and fees, but they also added it to the $138.69 charge and made a new charge of $221.17. I had to cancel my charge card so they couldn't charge me anymore. They feed my charge card company a lot of BS and sent them the contract which is nearly impossible to follow. Skyfine will not reverse the charge or even talk to me and have locked me out of my account so I can have their description of the charges.Initial Complaint

I have an alcohol interlock on my 1997 Subaru outback. Skyfine USA is the company I have been paying for this service. There have been many issues with it including killing my battery every few days. Also there have been so many hidden fees that I simply can't afford to drive it any longer. All I want is for them to come remove their device so I can sell the car. I have been trying to communicate with them about this for well over a month. They absolutely refuse to communicate in any way. I have attempted all avenues the app, texting, and many many phone calls. I have been told multiple times that supervisor would be in contact. This hasn't happened. April 17th 2024 I hired this company to install a ignition interlock device the technician went through my car and do my personal areas and now they are billing me for charges that did not occur within the time they are stating and they are also threatening to withdraw money from my account for bogus chargesBusiness Response

This company has been a nightmare from the beginning! They locked me out of vehicle saying for a violation that supposedly occurred a week prior to lock out that cost me $365 then they decided to charge my account $1600 stating damage to device but was confirmed by 3rd party that does readings, installations, and removals there were no damage to device. The service people hang up on you, they are rude as can be, you can never get ahold of a supervisor they say you get put on a call waiting list but they never call back!This place is a total scam since February they have charged my account over $3,000 of unnecessary charges and fees! Please save yourself the hassle, headaches the worries and go with any other company! Im currently working with my lawfirm to see what further actions I can do!Business Response

Invoice does not match alleged contract fees. Overages consistently charged without providing detailed invoice on charges. Additional charges added routinely that are not agreed to or authorized without description of why being charged. Their charges show up as fraud alert from bank every month despite efforts to correct and they refuse to acknowledge the issue with how they are processing fees. Multiple invoices submitted showing unpaid yet have covered all fees associated with account. Invoices for miscellaneous services that have not been requested or approved. Invoices for fraudulent claims. Each time I call I get someone who gives me the runaround and no one can accurately answer my questions. They claim there is a contract on file, yet I cannot gain access to said contract.Business Response

I signed up with Skyfine USA interlock LLC around July 2023. I was charge unauthorized amounts for errors on the interlock device. I was not disclosed on amounts charged to my account. When the devices was uninstalled I was charged 600$ for removal and an unauthorized additional amount of approximately 1656$ was charged to a card belonging to a family member that card was only on file for initial start up fees. The 1656$ amount was charged for supposed damages to the device even though the removal tech checked the device when it was removed and there were no damages to device at the time of removal. I can also attest to the fact there were no damages to device.Business Response

SkyFine USA. My complaint regarding this company is that they are fraudulent. They charged me fees for faulty equipment on their end. I have had zero violations and they are trying to say I missed a retest on their breathalyzer 3 different times. Also they are rude and they are dishonest and taking money and saying it’s justified when it’s not. I am very upset and it’s not fair and it seems no one holds them accountable? Please help with this situation. They are messing with people’s lives and livelihood by being deceitful and dishonest.Business Response

i got my interlock device in january of last year. this company has been nothing but rude, and unprofessional. i get hung up on every time i call, sometimes they just simply won’t answer my calls, and when i ask for a manager they tell me no, they’re not giving me to the manager. i wrote an email requesting for an itemized receipt due to the invoice that was sent to me for my interlock removal. my contract states the removal fee can vary between $129-$759 and they quoted me $589 for the removal fee. in total, after a final compliance reporting fee($35) and a processing fee($21.84) my total is $645.84. although it is within range of my contract, i simply wanted an itemized receipt for the removal fee and where they come up with that number. the supervisor(i believe her name is ashley, she wouldn’t repeat her name for me and hung up as i was asking) called me for the first time ever after i’ve tried to get in contact with her many times with no luck and told me she wouldn’t provide me an itemized receipt because the invoice is one already but it doesn’t itemize anything, it just states the removal fee. i just find it strange that the one time i contact them through email to get my answers in writing is the one time they’re able to get a manager to actually reach back out to me but through a call. i want an itemized receipt of the removal fee in writing. my car is a 2009. i don’t see why i’m getting charged on the higher end if my car isn’t newer, and i don’t understand why the company is unwilling to provide me with the information requested unless they’re over charging me.Business Response

This company try to take my money from my bank with out my consent with charges that’s I was never told about . And they stated that my car will be towed away if I don’t pay the fees and also my car will keep locking by itself for them to charge penalties .Business Response
