This business continues to send salespeople to my house despite me asking them to stop, despite me having to call the local police on one of their salesmen who refused to leave my property, and despite a prominent no soliciting sign on my front door. They are actively violating city municipal codes, which have been reported to Code Enforcement today for citation. Salesmen are aggressive and inappropriate, they need to stop coming as this is now becoming a harassment issue.Business Response

A salesman came to my house late in the day June 3rd. He offered a 1 time pest control treatment for $43.50 and said a monthly bill would then be $85.91. I could cancel at anytime with no problem. I was looking for control of aphids and he assured me that would be part of the service, when the serviceman came for the treatment he let me know that aphid control was not part of the treatment. I tried multiple times to call and cancel since the service I was promised could not be provided but was always on hold for long periods of time, I emailed trying to cancel and my email was ignored. When I finally got through to someone on the phone they told me there is a $199 fee for canceling before my 2 year agreement was up. The salesman, on the day that I signed, not only described a treatment that could not be provided but also assured me that canceling at anytime was not a problem.Business Response

A salesman from Aptive Environmental visited my home in April of this year and offered to replace my pest control service that I was being done from Fox Pest Control. They offered a better price and the sales person was very persistent. I asked at the time that if I took on their service and wasn’t satisfied, would I be able to easily cancel. I got an affirmative answer. My first service occurred in May and when the
Provider arrived for the treatment they let my dog out of the yard which caused me an hour to get him back. They scheduled a service for June 13th. I took the day off from my part time job and Aptive did not show up and did not notify me until the following day. I called customer service and complained. They rescheduled for June 26th. I remained at home again and they did not show up. At this point I called their customer service and canceled my service with them. I contacted my credit card company and put a stop to future charges. They now are trying to bill me $199.00 to get out of a contract. The companies duty to perform on the days they scheduled was not met causing me to miss valuable time. I was not about to let them come to my home in fear that they would let my dog free again. I don’t intend to pay them anymore. They already got $74.00 for a service they did not provide. Please help.Business Response

This business has sent solicitors to my house on multiple occasions. They will ride on scooters and stop at every house on our block. The Aptive employees will ring the doorbell until someone answers. They are aggressive and rude when told their business is not wanted. I have contacted the company multiple times and asked them to stop soliciting but the continue to harass my family.Business Response

A young man came at night asking for us to go back to Aptive at this point i said NO i did not want the termination fee. I advise this young man my son was applying with ***** and did not want to be attach to any contract or termination fee (keep in mind I had just cancel Aptive) he stated no contract or termination fee was going to be added since I had just cancelled my plan also this was a month to month i can cancel at any time. The first treatment was $50 and within the same month they showed up i message the manager to go back in 3 months financially we could not do monthly also i had it quarterly before. This manager said that it was mandatory they show up and i got charge $150 total for the month. Now that my son got the job i called sw supervisor Precious 06/26/25 was useless and just kept saying i sign i said I never read anything, and he told me that i would not be under any termination fee to just click I TRUSTED A LIAR. This is FRAUD lying to customers and not providing a manager's name or any legal team information to submit a formal complaint I NEED MY ACCOUNT TO BE CANCEL FOR GOOD AND I WILL NOT BE PAYING ANYTHING.....TRAIN YOUR CUSTOMERS TO NOT LIE TO PEOPLE!!!Business Response

I have no soliciting signs in my yard and theyre still ringing my doorbell. She claimed it was for a follow up from when we had their service (which was more than 2 years ago). I told her I wasnt interested and she told me you dont have to be so rude. I pointed out the no solicitor sign and told her I dont want sales people ringing my doorbell, hence the sign. I also explained we were clearly unhappy with the service which is why we canceled them and told them at cancellation. They never did what they were supposed to do.Business Response

I was approached by a door to door salesman on June 11th who insisted the service had improved since I was last a customer. I agreed to give it a try again after he repeated that I could cancel if they “weren’t doing the job”. The initial service was worse than bad and I had to have someone else out a week later to take care of the problems left behind. I reached out to cancel on June 20th and aptive agreed that the initial service was not done correctly but still charged me an additional $199 to cancel. The initial service was $39. Customer service is insisting that the $199 is a “discount reimbursement” for the initial service but again, the initial service was not completed as discussed. They keep talking about the agreement length while ignoring the lack of service rendered. As an example the contract specifies removal of outdoor wasp nests but one that was pointed out was left on the house right above the front door.Business Response

Hello,
I was a customer of Aptive for years. I haven’t received any contact from them in months and asked for service. Was told I was cancelled for non/payment. I’ve been on auto pay forever and asked how this happened, was told Aptive’s system reversed it but didn’t know why. I’ve asked to speak to a supervisor, they fill out some form, but no one ever calls.
I’m told 1 bill went to collections and I still owe 2. I’m not aware and have had zero contact from Aptive - no call, no email, no text, nothing. The information I get is to resolve this on my own, yet they created the problem.Business Response

This company came by when I am not home. Spray around the outside of my house and leave. Then charge me for a treatment. I have told them I have a deck that is only accessible from inside the house and want it sprayed too. Also inside my house. They never call you only send emails with very short notice. I am a former customer of Aptive but have not been under contract with them for several years. Recently they notified me that they had scheduled a treatment at my home address. Note that I did not request the treatment and I have not been in contact with Aptive since my contract expired. The technician arrived, treated the house and then sent me a DocuSign request to sign a new contract. I ignored this request. Then Aptive attempted to charge the service to the card I had on file for them. The card is no longer active so the charge did not go through.Business Response
