      They had a very good sales person sign us up in July of last year. We were on a Summer only plan. Except they kept trying to show up in Winter. I thought I cancelled completely but then they showed up again in March. Calling to speak to representatives was confirmation Im not crazy. They tried to badger me into keeping the service. They then told me I was going to have to pay $190 to cancel.I did not back down. My service is cancelled. Dont back down people! They are a total scam!

      My wife and I had a door-to-door salesman who convinced us that we should try Aptive Environmental pest services instead of the company we had been using for years. He told us the differences that made their company better. He assured us that what we would be paying would be less than what we were paying with our other company (I believe that was likely ignorance on his part rather than deceptive, but it was substantially more in the end). He also told us that if we did not like their services we could cancel. He never said anything about needing to fulfill a contract period of time.I called the company asking to cancel my services because it was substantially more expensive than our previous provider, and we were having more insects, not fewer. They said I would need to fulfill my contract or be charged the difference. I told the staff, and then the supervisor, that I was never told there was a contracted period, and if I had understood that I would not have signed (I have been burned on that before). They insisted that I was obligated to pay them. I told them they no longer had permission to charge my credit card, and that I would not be paying as they misrepresented themselves and their company's policy via their salesperson. I asked if the matter would go to collections. They said it might. I told them I would not pay collections, and if it meant my near perfect credit score was lowered, I could live with it, but they would not get paid. Moreover, I told them that if they sent it to collections, I would be filing complaints with both the BBB and the *************************. They have sent the bill to collections, so I am now filing.

      This complain is for a Pest control company with Aptive Environmental LLC in Farmington Hills Michigan. Last year 2024 March, One of their representatives come to my door to sell the service and he said you can try to use the service for three months and you don’t like it you can cancel it anytime. So we used them for three months in the summer season last year and stop the service for winter because we didn’t need it. And they tell me you can use it for the next summer just delay the schedule. Now this year 2025 March I want to cancel the service and they said I can not cancel due to agreement for a year. This is not what they told me and ask me signed on a iPad when they were at my door. And I suspect that they changed the digital agreement to 12 months. I would like to report this business being dishonest and not only for myself being affected but also more customers that they will lure in. Please investigate this business.

      THIS BUSINESS HAS MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS. MY DAD IS 87 YEARS OLD, THE CONTRACT I PROVIDED IS FOR HIS 522 ALACHUA DR WINTER HAVEN HOUSE. WE JUST TERMINATED HIS PEST CONTROL PEST SOLUTIONS OUT OF LAKE ALFRED FLORIDA HE HAD FOR YEARS. HE IS MOVING TOMORROW. THIS COMPANY CLAIMS HE ENGAGED IN THIS CONTRACT ON 1/11/2025 FOR A PERIOD OF 3 YEARS! HE CLAIMS NO WAY, YET THE COMPANY PROVIDES THIS DOCUSIGN AGREEMENT CONTRACT AND HIS EMAIL AND CLAIMED HE GAVE THEM HIS CC NUMBER TO BILL HIM. I THINK THIS IS A PREY ON THE ELDERLY HE HAD NO WAY OF DOING A 3 YEAR CONTRACT ON A HOUSE HE SOLD AND HE IS MOVING INTO ASSISTED LIVING. THIS COMPANY WANTS MY POWER OF ATTORNEY AND SALE AGREEMENTS ALL WITH TOO MUCH PII ON THEM TO CANCEL. IT'S FRAUD TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE ELDERLY

      Much like others lodging complaints here, sales *** showed up at our house late summer of 2024 offering a great promotional offer etc. We have issues with beetles so I wanted to give it a try, but did not want to be roped into a contract. I was assured by the sales *** that I was able to terminate at any time due to his promotional offer. Immediately had issues when the contract was sent over as half of the promises made (such as mosquito treatments at no additional cost to the basic package) were NOT honored. I called and spoke with a manager who provided me some concessions for this, however not the great deal the sales *** promised me. We had one treatment. The individual who did the treatment left chemicals all over the yard (half empty and open bottles etc where we have both young children and pets, one of my concerns raised with the sales *** who made all kinds of safety promises). For what it's worth, the treatment had absolutely zero impact.I call to cancel about a week after the treatment and speak with a woman who tells me I absolutely can cancel with no charge, but if I want to freeze the account instead I can try in the spring to address concerns and they will give me an even better rate to make up for my disappointment. After 30+ minutes of arguing I just said fine after she ASSURED me that I would not be charged and could cancel at any time whenever I wanted.I just called in February to close the account out as we are moving and was told that, as I did don't have the contractual 4-5 treatments within 12 months, I need to pay $199. The only way out of this is providing documentation that I am moving "out of service area." Aptive has done nothing but lie, boldly and fully, since the day they arrived on my doorstep and seem to have no intention of taking responsibility for these ***rehensible practices. I want my account cancelled, per the promises made to me by multiple parties, at NO COST.

      Aptive Environmental uses rather aggressive sales tactics by employees canvassing assigned territory. I got suckered into a service that is overpriced and charges monthly even when no service has been provided. I was charged $96.23 on 1/17/25 and $96.23 on 2/17/25. This is a total of $192.46. No service was received on those days . My yard has been covered in snow for most of this time with freezing temperatures. There are no pets or insects to control in the dead of winter. I no longer want the service.

      I have been paying for services for bug prevention for 22 months out of a 24-month contract. Due to the hours that the "bug man" chooses to come to my home I am unable to be there to let him spray the inside. As a result, I still have major issues with tree roaches and ********* ants in my home.Additionally, I have taken a demotion to remain employed and can no longer afford the $99 a month.

      Aptive Environmental fraudulently billed me for additional services that I never agreed to or signed up for. The person who initiated the sale forged my signature electronically on a contract that I never reviewed, agreed to, nor signed. I only consented to one initial treatment and didn’t sign anything, and paid their salesman for that one treatment with my card. Since then, AptiveCare has repeatedly come by my house every month and told me that I signed up for six services. I have repeatedly called and text them since then stating that I don’t want the service and didn’t sign up for it. I’ve requested several times (verbally and in writing) to quit coming to my house, but they have ignored the messages and keep showing up. I was finally able to get a hold of one of their reps in December 2024 and let them know that I never signed anything and that the salesman fraudulently sign me up electronically. I asked him to remove this agreement and cancel the service, but he said they will only cancel the service if I pay for the additional months along with a one time cancellation fee of $300, and they said if I don’t pay, they are gonna send me to collections. This is criminal what they’re doing, how are they able to forge my signature to make an extended contract? They have already billed me twice (once for the initial service I paid for, and once for an additional treatment that I never agreed or signed for). I had to change my card number so they would stop attempting to bill my bank account. I don’t know who else to turn to. I’m an elderly widow, and don’t deserve this kind of treatment. This has been a nightmare. My primary request is for Aptive Environmental to cancel or remove any existing contract, cease billing me for all services, and refund the $177 charge made to my credit card on September 6, 2024. Above all, I simply desire to resolve this matter and move forward.

      I called on Feb 10 2025 to end service with Aptive Environmental as I had moved out of my house, they notified me there would be a cancellation fee of $199 which I agreed to I sent away a service technician from Aptive on Feb 14, letting them know that I ended my service.A service technician arrived unannounced on Feb 18 to service the property. I do not have any texts or confirmation that this service happened, it occurred without my consent on a property which I no longer own. I was then charged for this service on Feb 20.On Feb 21 I emailed Aptive customer service to have them waive the service charge of $169. They refused as the service had already been completed, they then deleted my Aptive account, removing my ability to access invoices or proof of service. They also let me know that I was still on the hook for the $199 cancellation fee. I am currently in the middle of a lengthy email thread with their customer service department, who continue to reiterate that they have proof of service and don't seem to acknowledge my efforts to cancel service, nor that they serviced the property without the consent of the new owner. It has been very strange. I have disputed the service charge with my bank but would appreciate any support from the BBB.
