      These guys are scammers with the ethics of a graverobber. They do not tell you they charge you upfront and, in my case, purposely booked more days than I requested. I did not notice until I saw my CC statement. Also, they acted as if they were the hotel. I tried to call customer service and was on hold for an hour. They acted as if they were going to help me get my money back for the three extra days, they charged me for. Instead, I received a canned email saying they were correct, and the hotel policy did not allow a refund!

      I called to reserve a hotel not realizing it was a second party operation. Was puzzled at the ***** charge, thought it was a security deposit as they did not specify it was for their service. The reason I called instead of booking online was because I needed to tell them I have a dog traveling with me. Plans changed, next day I cancelled reservation and they would not refund that *****. I filed a dispute with **** and **** cleared it off my account immediately. An Indian call center should have been a tip off.

      This company is terrible. They charged me more than the hotel rate. Charged me a $100.00 fee for nothing. Then would only issue a refund two weeks before travel for 3/4 of room charges. I called hotel and they will issue refund up until time of stay. This company is essentially a fraud in my opinion. They stole $140.00 from me and provided no service whatsoever. They simply booked a hotel room for more than the hotel would have charged me.

      I too was taken by this company. Like many others who wrote reviews, I thought I was speaking with the hotel. The agent assured me I was getting a two bedroom suite with bathroom, and kitchenette. When I get to the hotel, it's a two bed room, with bathroom, microwave & fridge. When I went back to the front desk, they informed me they didn't even have any such rooms like what I had requested. Since I was already there and cancellation at that time would have cost me the entire amount, I kept the room, but had to get another room for my traveling partner. Since I was there for my daughter's wedding, I didn't have time to call at that time, but now they are saying they can't give a refund since I stayed at the hotel. The thing is I'm asking for the refund of the additional amount I had to pay for the additional room. They have told me that they verified the agent misled me about the type of room I was getting and yet, they do not think that they have any reason to make it right. This company is a joke and based on the number of complaints on this website, and the number of people they have wronged, maybe a class action lawsuit is in order. They do not deserve a star, but since you can't post the review without giving a rating, which is stupid, I have given them one, but only so the review could be posted.

      I looked for a specific Hotel not linked to a 3rd party. I went into the ( The Manhattan In The ************ ) website. I don't know how but they found a way to fake that they wore the Hotel. I thought I was speaking to the Hotel directly. I made a booking thinking they wore the Hotel.I went in for check in and went to the room. The room I was staying in Was having major construction. I immediately went to the counter to cancel my stay. That's when I found out that I booked with ReservationCounter.com ... I cancel my stay and after a long argument with the representative of the refund department. They greed to REFUND MY PURCHASE. $500. THEY SAID IT WOULD BE REFUNDED TO MY ACCOUNT IN 9 DAYS.9 days has past and I called for the refund. THEY JUST TOLD ME TO S**** AND THEY WILL NOT REFUND ME THE $500. THIS PEOPLE ARE THIVES. ********. BE CAREFUL. THEY REFUSE TO REFUND ME $500 FOR A BOOKING THAT I DID NOT STAY BECAUSE OF CONSTRUCTION NOISE. MY WIFE HAD A MIGRAINE THAT DAY. THERE IS NO WAY WE COULD'VE STAYED.THIS PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS. THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN.

      On the date of June 3 2024, I went online to book a hotel room for the dates of 06/07/ 2024. I had chosen a hotel and the phone number was on the hotel advertisement. I thought I was calling directly to the hotel, since I do not use third party web sites. He did not identify that he was a third party site. He talked me out of the hotel I requested , telling me that it was 10 miles from the airport. I believed him and went with the hotel he suggested, which turned out to be ***************** , *******. He gave me a price of $152.46. He repeated to me multiple times that my check in time was 11:00 pm on June 7, 2024 and my check out time was 6pm on June 8, 2024, and the price was $152.46 ,all inclusive with shuttle service to and from the airport. He sent me a confirmation and asked if I received it. I told him I received it and said I would read it back to him. He said " no don't read it back to me " He said he didn't have time to wait for me to read it back to him! He read me the last 4 digits and I said yes that was the last 4 digits , and we hung up. Within the same hour I realized I didn't read the confirmation because he had stopped me. I opened the confirmation and found that he did not give me the 6pm checkout time ,as agreed upon. The confirmation said I had to be out by 11:00 am. I called back and told them that he tricked me and was told that I would have to pay double if I wanted a 6 pm checkout time. I told them to give me my money back and cancel my reservation. They said I would have to wait 72 hours for them to review my call. I called multiple times , but in the end they would not give me my money back. On the 7th I had no more money for the hotel room , so I went to the hotel, because I had nowhere else to sleep. I was told that my reservation was canceled and they would not give me a refund. By that time my blood pressure was sky high . I went into the parking lot and was so shaken that I began vomiting uncontrollably. I slept in my car.

      I am disappointed. I was trying to book a hotel as I will be attending a wedding in **********. I was trying to call the hotel directly, but was confused by what I saw online and called "Reservation Counter.com. I was given a rate that was much higher than I expected, but wanted to stay where the invitation suggested. I was given the rate of $281.85 + tax of ***** and fee of $50.99. I am not a resident of the state I will be staying in for the wedding, and was not sure why there was a "fee", as I had thought I was talking to the hotel. Later, after looking at the rate quoted on "The Knot", I called a local number for the hotel. That is when I realized I had used a booking site. I searched through the calls I made on my cell phone, and when I redialed the number I had used earlier in the evening, I was told I had called ReservationDesk.com. I asked to cancel my reservation, and was then told that the fee of $50.99 was non-refundable. I said I needed the fee refunded, as I had originally thought I was calling the hotel. I never received a confirmation email, but the text confirmation said "Reservation Counter Itenerary". Strange how they use both names interchangeably. The employee I spoke with on my second call told me he would send a note to another person to see if the fee could be refunded. I don't recall being told in my first conversation that the fee was non-refundable. I hope that it will be, but am not optimistic after reading other reviews.

      Click a booking link on the Hyatt website booked a room and it was cancelled same day. Called to get it reinstated because it was an error. They refused to reinstate the room wanted me to rebook and pay twice. Asked for the manager and they said they would call; still no call back. Called again using 3 phones only one answered and then hung up when I told them my issued. This really has to be a scam. Avoid if you are rerouted to their website to book.

      Got directed by ******* while looking for a room.After room was booked looked at reviews. They said it was a dump.people living on backside,police in and out Rooms dirty,bugs.and no refunds

      This company, Reservation Counter, LLC is a fraud. I thought I was booking directly with the hotel but when I spoke with the hotel front desk they couldn't find my reservation. When I cancelled my reservation on Reservation Counter's website within minutes after I made the booking, I was charged for the first night of stay and a service fee $15.99. When I called their phone number there was no person to speak to about my situation. I am disputing the charge with my credit card company. Reservation Counter is dishonest and does not offer the lowest hotel rate.
