On October 20, 2021, I purchased this vehicle based on several factors, the biggest factor was/is trust.
I calculated this level of trust using the knowledge that I gained from research, test drives, pre-purchase
inspections and use of technology. I read the articles and government agencies resources on fraud and
scams. I researched Google reviews on the dealership. I reviewed the BBB website specific to BMW of
Turnersville. When you visit the dealership, you are exposed to a gallery of awards for being the best.
In addition to that, I am 48 years old. I have purchased vehicles before, I have been taken advantage of
before, on part because of my ignorance at the time. I consider myself to be emotionally intelligent, I
learn from my mistakes and I enter new situations well prepared to control future outcomes so they are
fair. I also realize that there are things in life that are beyond my control, that’s where trust comes into
      play.
The remaining factors are the CarFax report, the BMW Brand, the Penske name, and the guarantee of
the dealership. As far as I am concerned, I fulfilled my responsibilities as a consumer.
This vehicle was clearly and factually misrepresented and I am suffering the consequences.
I recommend that CarFax considers taking a look at how dealerships are rated. In this instance, BMW of
Turnersville is part of a much larger organization, the Turnersville AutoMall (Classic Auto Group Inc.),
owned by Penske. Within this “Mall” are several dealership “brands”. If you were to review each
individual “brands” BBB rating, Google ratings and CarFax ratings, you will see a huge disparity in ratings,
“magnificent” to “F”. Notably, the Turnersville AutoMall vs’ BMW of Turnersville. If I had the opportunity
beforehand, to see the same apologies and deals being made over and over again on Google and BBB, for the same situation I am going through, and had gone through in my past, I wouldn’t have bought the car. CarFax is misleading and unhelpf

My parents naively purchased a car for me from a dealership in Kansas City area and just relied upon the CARFX report which came back totally clean. The first time I took my car in for repairs, the shop asked me when I was in a major front end collision because the front axle has major damage, has been in an accident and needs replaced & that was from the get go. The car has had nothing but problem after problem. It is a 2010 Honda Civic bought in 2017 and supposedly only had 20k miles. There is no doubt the mileage was fixed. I wouldn't trust CARFAX if my life depended on it. It is clear the dealerships and CARFX are in cahoots with each other to sell faulty vehicles that haven't been close to accurately described in terms of prior history of the car and the current health condition of the car. It is really a big multimillion, or possibly multibillion dollar scam by now in 2022. Walk away immediately if a dealership offers nothing but CARFAX as a determinate factor that the vehicle being clean. Always have it pre inspected by an independent 3rd party mechanic or preferably a mechanic you know and trust ( that you have done prior business with before with references). I got burnt really bad from the start from CARFAX with this vehicle & it was a sharp decline after the purchase of virtually every major system in the car needing replaced. I spent over 2-3x of the $ in repairs of what the car originally cost. I could have purchased a brand new vehicle for the cost of the car plus all the repairs.

When purchasing my second car, I foolishly considered relying on Carfax report to base my purchase decision upon.
The vehicle I've purchased had all of the error lights flash as a X-mas tree within a week, but that is now what I am complaining about,
After I've received my title I found out that there was a remark "NAM" (not actual mileage) but Carfax stated that the car was fine and even guaranteed money back.
Now that I'd reached out to their customer service, they just keep messing around with me saying that I kept reaching the wrong department.
I just thought I share my experience and hope you read this before spending your hard earned money purchasing it for your peace of mind

This is a gimmick company. I bought a car that had a clean Carfax only to find out there were many mechanical problems. Also the repairs that they said were done were not. I contacted them and they said I should’ve had a mechanic inspect the car, so what is the point of the report?
They are not accurate, and they do not check their information. This company admitted that to me. Worthless service designed to take peoples money.

States on the website under what documents are accepted to correct records that a title is not the only accepted document and that signed statements/gov papers will work. I have sent 4 dmv signed papers and my current registration and carfax won’t fix my record. They ignored the question I asked about them not only accepting titles multiple times and refuse to answer that discrepancy. They do not request accurate data from the dmv. This effects my business, the info they got and reported was so inaccurate it was almost falsified I don’t know how they came up with it? No fact check? No carfax for carfax? Someone can report fake data but I can’t correct it?

THEY GET NO STARS. AN ABSOLUTE 0 RATING. THEY HAVE DELIBERATELY PUT FALSE INFORMATION ON OUR REPORT AND WE ARE GOING ON TWO MONTHS NOW TRYING TO GET IT RECTIFIED. I HAVE A LINE OF PEOPLE WHO WANT TO BUY MY CAR, BUT DUE TO THE ERRONEOUS DATA, NOBODY WILL PURCHASE IT. WE EVEN CONTACTED THE STATE DMV WHERE THE INFO WAS INACCURATE AND THEY SAID OUR RECORD WAS CLEAN. LONG STORY, BUT THIS COMPANY SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS. THEIR CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS THE WORST I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED.

Data is good for determining number of owners, and where a car has been, but Carfax excludes one of the most critical pieces of information, when considering buying a used car. THE LIEN/LOAN STATUS! Jumping Jiminy Crickets! How does the supposedly #1 car history report site (and the most costly) NOT have this in their reports?!?!

$99.99 for 6 reports, used 2. Went for over a week with no solution on there end. Contact them about their error. Give directions on how to use the sight like a child, how did I get the other 2 reports? Went over and over that I followed their directions. Then they realize their error. Credit me back $40 for the 4 reports. Which means I paid $59.99 for 2 reports whereas their sight offers 3 reports for $59.99. Explained again Their error and was told a report would be issued to my account, no credit given. A misleading statement that has cost me time again in order to address it. DOes not look like they have a great response to customer complaints by reviews on their sight, my fault for putting trust in them.

I purchased a car whose 04/08/2021 Carfax indicated no structural damage. This Carfax listed on 03/29/2021 that vehicle was sold to dealer. I later was looking at trading in the vehicle and the current Carfax indicated structural damage and that damage was dated 03/29/2021. This was entered after I purchased the vehicle and had to have been back dated. CarFax dismissed my case after requesting information that I was unable to provide. In my opinion, they are disreputable.
