I am so tired of paying for the engine "crisis" in my Jetta. I know that I have paid at least 10,000 dollars in repairs since I bought my Jetta in 2007. It seems as though my Jetta has been in the service bay as much as it's been in my driveway. Well again, my Jetta is in crisis mode.
And 35 dollars/day for a rental car is getting too expensive. IT IS time for a new car!!
Found out yesterday from one of the Regional managers, that I spent way too much for my brand new 2007 Jetta. You would think the sales people would have sympathy. Nope.
Regional manager told me yesterday that I could buy a brand new Jetta for 23,000 bucks. That was another "slap in the face." You see, I paid 24,000 bucks for a brand new Jetta in 2007. Women get no respect at dealerships. Anyway, the Regional manager offered me 1500 dollars for my (over priced) Jetta that I bought in 2007. The Volkswagen dealership in Bremerton only offered me 500 dollars for my Jetta. Let me get this straight: I paid 6000 dollars for repairs on my 2007 Jetta last month. And now in June 2023, Volkswagen only wants to give me 1500 dollars for a trade-in. Lets see 6000 dollars minus 1500 dollars. That is a lot of money I will be losing. Not to mention that the car is still in my driveway not working. I paid 6000 dollars for a car repair bill and the car still does not work. And I keep telling the repairmen, "It is not the battery." Since I bought the car in 2007 brand new, I have had engine issues that required replacing whole parts of the engine. In the last 10 years, I have bought so many batteries that I could open a battery shop. There is something seriously going wrong in the engine compartment.
Oohh. I get it. I am an African American woman who knows nothing about cars. For once, I wish men would listen to me. Sell me a new car. I'm tired of this fraud.

Deceptive advertising. Blind spot monitoring and rear traffic detection are listed as a STANDARD feature in all 2023 VW Taos on the corporate website. Our VIN number is coded for it (confirmed on ******************************************). The sticker on the car, specific to that VIN lists it as STANDARD, BUT in fine print under "Options", it will disclose it doesn't have it. It's not an intuitive place to look and there is no good reason that the sticker couldn't be more clear - its specific to the car. If all 2023's were like this I would chalk it up as a COVID casualty , but there are some that have it if you know to look for it and they aren't that more expensive. The $450 credit they give you in no way compensates for the diminished value - I asked the parts department and you are looking at $3000+ to add it on. They are good at hiding this info on those 50 forms that you sign to buy a car (cryptically described as "rear sensor delete"), and they did not emphasize what it was missing when we purchased it. Very disappointing experience.

I am highly upset that this company sends out service coupons and when presented to the business they don’t honor it. This company sent a coupon for a $80 oil change and other services. I took the coupon to Volkswagen for the service just to be denied service. The worker & supervisor Rob stated that the corporate office sends out these coupons and place the dealership name on it. They don’t accept the coupons. I have never heard that in my entire life. I drove over an hour to this dealership just to be turned away. That is not customer service and it’s deceptive by the business. I own a Benz and this Voltswagen and I have better service with my Benz dealership. I would not recommend no one buy a Voltswagen because this company lies, cheats and steals. This is not the last this company will hear from me.

Would give 0 stars if I could. My 2019 tiguan that I bought CPO from Volkswagen and owned less than 2 years has been in and out of Volkswagens dealerships for months. It took one location 3 visits to not even find the issue, and it took the next location over 5 weeks just to give me a call back with some information on the issues. I’ve been without my vehicle for over 6 straight weeks with no loaner or assistance at all. Volkswagen wants me to pay close to $2000 for carbon cleaning of the engine, which I understand is wear and tear but seems to be a regular issue with these 2.0 Volkswagens. Also I can’t possible see how I’ve caused ALL of the buildup when I’ve been servicing my car regularly, I’ve brought it in 3 times before this to check on the engine because it was driving different than before & I haven’t even had the car that long if I’m being frank. Volkswagen keeps pointing me back and forth between customer care and the dealership, they don’t care about fixing the issue, they don’t care what inconvenience it causes the customer to be without a vehicle for such a ridiculous amount of time, and they don’t seem to any idea who to contact about complaints and resolving issues. Terrible company, get something reliable like a Honda.

I’m furious with VW. I’m on my third and last VW. They will not take action or responsibility for the sunroof water leaks. They up charge for this option but if yours leaks it can completely ruin the carpet and other components in the car. Guess how much VW told me it would cost to repair? $4900. If you buy one of their cars with a sunroof immediately take $5000 off the asking price. Or better yet, get a different make completely. First they lie about mpg on their diesel engines now their poor engineering comes at a cost and THEY WON’T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. Do not give them your money.

I called regarding to my concerns that my Volkswagen with 1870 miles on it had to undergo service and I had to initiate calls/texts regarding the status of the repair and was initially told the issue was “probably” bad gas that would not be covered under warranty. I was promised a loaner car but was forced to rent one on very short notice, 6 pm the day before I had to be at work by 6am, due to the dealership not having one available. My communication from the service manager at the local dealership via phone and text I feel we’re inappropriate since I felt I did not give any reason for his responses. I feel I have the service department ample time to source the problem and perform measures they had told were needed in order to complete the repair. I was not informed until after of day 2 of my car being in service that they were “3-5 days behind.” When I came to the dealership to pick up some personal items from the car I was not even acknowledged by the manager with any simple courtesy. On the evening of day 2 of my car being in service I had to then rent a car as noted above. I was told after 3 inquiries by the service technician that the gas was tested and it was good and that a valve was replaced. Iwas never told exactly the nature of the problem and am too discouraged to call the local dealership to ask. The paperwork shows a valve and a pump was replaced in what part of the car I do not know. I called Volkswagen corporate to explained my experience, concern regarding low mileage of the car with already issues occurring. When asked what they could do to make it right I asked for a refund for the rental car but met with a resounding no. I was to contact the warranty company. . I was told there was no other customer service management I could speak with and provided an address to mail a complaint. Again no information or offer to call the dealership was made. I was encouraged to do that myself.

I purchased a Tiguan brand new thinking I’d have no issues, but I have had nothing but issues with it.
It has been back to 2 dealerships 7 times and now it’s waiting for a transmission since January(2023) and it’s been sitting there since. I filed for a buy back from VW.. it’s been well over a month. They were supposed to call me and the only things I get it VW sending me offers to buy perks or get a free oil change for a vehicle that has and is still in there possession while I continue to make monthly payments on a product I don’t have and that is NOT reliable!
      ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED WITH THIS COMPANY!
They have even stated on some paperwork that certain issues were different than what was. One that stands with my memory is that they said the “oil change” light on when it was definitely the check engine light!
I have qualms with Volkswagen and now I’m overly frustrated!
Will never invest in Volkswagen and will deter others as well!

I purchased my first ever VW Passat on 3-20-21. Right away there were issues with inconsistent and hesitant acceleration while driving. The car was inspected by VW and they claim there was "nothing wrong"! In addition, the infotainment screen was defective and had to be replaced. There was also a crack in the plastic cowling near the passenger side wiper blade. Am still waiting for that to be replaced! Also, the center console lid cover is defective and I have been waiting 4 months for that "back-ordered" part to come in to be replaced! There are also indentations in the paint on the rear bumper cover from the trunk lid striking the bumper because the rubber isolator's were NOT adjusted at the factory! Further, the WINDOW STICKER cleary shows a "manual lumbar support included" on the front passenger seat! THERE IS NONE! Even the dealership could not locate the "manual lumbar support" on the seat and they offered NO SOLUTION for the false/mis-leading VW advertising!! CLEARLY, there is no "quality control" at the Chattanooga, TN VW plant where this car was hap-hazardly assembled! Will NEVER buy another VW product again! They are poorly made! My 2019 e-golf infotainment system has been hacked remotely via bluetooth. Case# ********.
I called VW USA Customer CARE and they were kind of telling me it’s normal and not a big deal. There’s nothing they could do to help. Is that really true Volkswagen is selling EVs that are vulnerable to remote hacking? Does VW still want to sell EVs in the future? Who wants to buy an electric car that can be hacked easily?
Could VW give instructions to the dealer on how to reload/reset software to get rid of the hackers controlling my car? Could VW also help turn on kill mode on my car so that no apps, no hackers can connect to my car via wireless & bluetooth going forward?
