      I recently realized that I had been charged nearly twice my subscription amount (originally $14, charged $24) for 15 months without my telling me. They claimed I signed up for the premium subscription when I did not and my online account showed only the regular subscription. They eventually offered a 1 time credit of $12, and to return my subscription to the original subscription. They refused to acknowledge that they changed my subscription and hid it from me.

      I have not recieved any papers! 25 emails 20 phone calls! Nothing works and now they just keep sending bills to my house for papers I never recieved that I paid a year in advance for. Worst company I have ever dealt with!

      The 1-800 number is answered by a robot. If the robot cannot understand you, it disconnects the call. I went through this three times just to ask about a delivery issue. I am FURIOUS. This company sucks. They have no concern for their customers and don't care if we get our questions answered. I am going to leave poor reviews everywhere. Don't support Gannett!

      We have auto-renewal of our local daily newspaper. Since the August 2023 renewal, we have received a total of about 7 newspapers as of today (10/23/23). I have contacted Gannet through the online chat: the option available ( since the phone number is all automated). All I got was promises of improving the service. It was all promises, but no deliveries. I have tried THREE times to cancel our subscription. But I'm still getting the daily email digital versions, which means my subscription is still active. Oh, and I'm told not refunds. This is fraud! I've paid for something that I am not receiving. I would give Gannett -10 stars if I could.

      I have had a $10.99 debit coming out of my credit card by Gannett. Like so many here and across the internet they started this without my consent, no matter what their beautiful form letter says. Note that in these letters they NEVER give the account number, because one does not exist, or they refuse to give them. This is a scam. It should be stopped. I am reporting it to the Attorney General here and to my credit card company. I finally got a human today who told me to FAX, yes, FAX, no wonder the newspaper industry is failing. I am surprised they did not ask for it come by mule carrier. Again, all designed to make it a nuisance to cancel. I hope they go out of business as they are truly a disreputable and corrupt business.

      Responded to offer $1 for 6 months then $4.99 and received confirmation email w/ account#. For all access digital. And was charged by Gannett Media. Could not access and called customer support multiple days who could not find account. Kept saying “ not this dept” and certain depts can’t see anccounts and promised calls back and did not. At this point I want to just cancel but can’t because they can’t find an account even though I was charged. Now worried that after the 6 months they will continue to charge me because someone there has my cc number and used it. Was promised supervisor would call and then told it was escalated up. What a joke! Customer service and their subscription setup is pathetic. At this point all I could do is cancel my credit card so they didn’t have the number to continue charging me!

      Paper fraudulently charges your credit card after you have cancelled the Paper Then after the hassle of dealing with an overseas call center you are promised a refund that is never issued

      Had autopay setup and found subscription was paid 3 months in advance. Couldn't get dependable delivery so we canceled autopay. Freep kept adding weeks for missing papers. We never received the last two weeks. Tried to get papers or refund. We didn't receive either and was finally told nothing we could do
      Never subscribe to another newspaper or use autopay for a subscription again.

      Delivery issues! Our regular route delivery star is wonderful HOWEVER when he takes time off the substitute(s) NEVER delivers the USA NOT Today paper. No delivery 7/10-14; 7/17-18; 7/21. Calling and reporting, requesting a credit does not make the paper magically appear. If I paid for a service and had this many complaints I'd certainly rectify the situation or stop paying until service improves. How many missed deliveries trigger action to rectify a problem? What standard does USAT use to hold contracted delivery services accountable?
