      We have been customers for 7 or 8 years. We have always had home delivery. We moved from Crossville to Knoxville 3 years ago. Since our move we have not had consistent on time delivery. On time delivery for us means prior to 7:30AM. We call their Delivery Problem phone number every time but nothing happens. We have come to realize that no one even reads those complaints. We like a print newspaper in the morning but it needs to get here prior to 7:30AM. They also need to examine their Customer Service dept to make sure they are actually doing their job.

      The Gannett Co who owns The Repository Canton, Oh has horrendous customer service. I have tried numerous ways to contact them in an effort to cancel my subscription. To this day I have not been able to get through. As a last resort I have now blocked on line automatic payments. This should not have to happen. I’m hoping this complaint will help others struggling with this company and their poor service.

      I have been a subscriber to the Fort Collins Coloradoan for decades. I am at my third residence.
      When I subscribed to the newspaper I was promised on porch delivery. Since April of 2022 I have called the customer service department of the Coloradoan 75 times regarding the delivery of my newspaper. None were delivered to my porch. It has been near my neighbors yard, It has been under the vehicles in my driveway, It has been on the sidewalk next to the street, It has been in the street gutter, it has been on the other side of my lawn, to no paper at all.
      Each time I have contacted the customer service dept. (75 times) they apologize and assure me they will take care of the problem. Nothing changes. I have been promised calls back from management and none ever comes. They have credited my account for the inconvenience but nothing changes. I call every day and get no respect as they just tell me what they think I want to hear. This is the worst service I have had ever!

      Callled to cancel my subscription the date that it ended. The representative said that it was handled. Still charged for another month. Called back and was told that they could not/ would not refund my money. Requested a manager to call me. Never received call.
      Have been daily briefing emails from the IndyStar. Have tried to unsubscribe for a month now. Their site states that there is an error and they are working on it. How long does it take them to stop spamming me.
      Don't EVER give them your information.

      As many other reviewers have noted, I also received an unauthorized subscription charge for $59 after I canceled. They called me and said I had a past due balance of $1.50 or something and my card had declined. I should have never paid the balance because then they had my new credit card number! I canceled right when I paid the past due balance and was given a confirmation number for the cancellation. It was a scam! Called and requested a refund for the unauthorized charge and was told it had to be “approved by a manager” which is hilarious because I shouldn’t have been charged for it in the first place. Refund allegedly issued about 10 days ago and hasn’t posted. Had to call AGAIN today and complain that I haven’t received the refund and was basically told to just call my bank… so now I have to spend more time on the phone cleaning up their mess. They also tried to say they were only refunding me $56 because I had an active subscription for part of August. I got upset because I wasn’t using the subscription and the charges were unauthorized so I should not be charged even $3. It feels like this was done intentionally because it’s happened to so many other people!

      I ordered the paper for my Great uncle, a veteran of 3 wars, who was bed ridden and his only enjoyment was reading the paper. Since the stores around me no longer carry the paper. I subscribed in July, my 1st paper should have been delivered July 18th. I did not receive one paper that 1st week and complained, all I got was a reassurance that they would look into the issue and resolve the problem and that my account would be credited. This went on for another week and another and another in which I complained every day that my paper was not delivered and got the same response, that my account would be credited and they would escalate it to the delivery manager which apparently does nothing. It has now been over a month and sad to say my Uncle has passed away. The last month of his life he was denied the ability to read the paper because the Arizona Republic could not resolve any delivery issues . I truly believe they are not delivering to my neighborhood because i live in a poor neighborhood and they have no one to deliver to it. I believe they are hoping that I will just get fed up and unsubscribe. I truly feel like I am being discriminated against as I'm sure other more affluent neighborhoods do not have such issues.

      Three under age students were killed in a car crash. The school had an event to help the students friends and family and community grieve. Pictures were taken of the grieving student and coach and also on the sister and mother of one of the kids killed and published in the paper. This is beyond sick. An apology on the front page should be just the beginning. Dave McMillan the one responsible for the article should be fired. Star rating should be less that one star.

      Have a digital subscription to the Canton Repository and they make is extremely difficult to cancel membership. Their 'cancel subscription' button in the manage account tab always says I cannot cancel online and forces me to call but they don't answer and do not answer emails. Very shady business practices. Only choice I had was to dispute credit card charge. Absolutely ridiculous!
