      Please do not use this company they took a 200 dollar deposit for a secured card. After some time I decided to close the account. I payed off the entirety of the card and had literally perfect payment history when I had it. Card was canceled in August 2022 and was waiting for my 200 check to arrive through mail. It is now April 2023 and I still haven't received my check. I had to call in numerous times to cancel check that was sent out to have a new one sent. It wasn't a problem with my address because I confirmed it over 15 times. Finally they told me just yesterday that they would send me a transfer of the funds the next day to my account, I confirmed my account number to my checking's account everything was good. I received NOTHING!! I called in to let them know and the manager that was transferred the call told me that he doesn't know anything and that he doesn't know if it will be a check or direct deposit like I was promised. This is outrageous, this company has no face, no respect, shows no integrity at all. They don't care about you. I strongly suggest if you are looking to build your credit please do not use Open Sky. They will just ruin you. I have had other secured cards that have returned my funds in a matter of a couple weeks directly to my bank account they don't use mailing option. Please look into first premier bank, indigo, discover. They are 100 times better.

      The company took my deposit and proceeded to hold up the application without properly communicating what they needed to verify information. After I provided the information, based on a drop down menu of options of submittable information, they still did not communicate or properly process the application. It was only after I called they said they would only accept one form of verification, which was inaccessible due to an in progress relocation. OpenSky: Don't take a payment, until you process the application. This is a credit building service - those funds could be better spend. STOP WASTING CUSTOMERS TIME. Communicate properly.
      Save yourself the hassle and AVOID this unprofessional service, especially if you are limited in your funds.

      This company should be shut down. Quick to take your funds but fail to return the deposit when the account is closed. I paid this account off, a total of just over $712.00. The same day I paid this account off in FULL, they closed my account, and reported the closure to the Credit Bureaus! I spoke to two Customer Service representatives about getting my deposit back ($500) and they said there hasn’t been any decision yet on when they’ll release my deposit, despite the decision to close the account, which has no outstanding balance. They are thieves, and I plan to take this higher up if need be, if I don’t receive my deposit shortly.

      I signed up for this card through credit karma thinking it would raise my credit score, but it didn’t. I loaded $200 on the card and kept it for about 5 months. Never saw an increase so I spent the $200 and called to cancel the card. When I called they said I overdraft, but how card doesn’t have overdraft. But ok it was on $11, so I was going to pay it but they told me interest was $115. I would’ve paid the $11 but $115 be for real with a secured card

      I applied for a credit card and sent $1,300 for my credit limit. I didn't receive my card for a month and a half. I had to cancel my card and expedite it. I received the expedited card in two days. I was charged a $50 fee for this service and a $35 activation fee.
      I promptly paid $85 to get my credit limit back to $1300, because I needed a rental. I was told that it would be a week before it posted. I informed them that I didn't work for the month and a half I was waiting on the card; and that waiting another week would not suffice, as I needed a rental car for work.
      Opensky informed me (2 days later) that they can post the payment before then if I provide the required documents. I sent the required documents but everyday the requirements were changed.
      I requested my $1,300 and was informed that I'd have to wait six weeks. I'm stuck in a bureaucratic loop.
      I've currently been out of work for 2 months. They refuse to provide any remedy for my situation.

      I don’t even want to give them one star. This company close my account, and then told me that they would take the balance of 145 out of my deposit and issue me a check for the remaining balance. It has now been two months and I just called today and it sent me directly to some recovery service, I was skeptical about giving them my information because something just always seem shady about this place. They make it difficult for you to reach customer service because I have to pay the 145 that I was told would come out of my deposit so I called back and put in all zeros just to get a live representative at open sky. some rude guy with a false name. Herbert did not want to answer any questions and was refusing to help me this place and it seems like one big fraud! I think it’s time that the Better Business Bureau investigates this place.

      The day they give me a late fee, paper statement fee and interest on my card totaling $35 in charges was the day I made my minimum payment of $30. January 6, 2023. I called to call them to see if they could waive the fee because it has now brought my card to a negative balance and I have not had a late fee in a year! They said I have to make a payment to bring my card to a positive balance then they can look into waiving the fee. How convenient. I just made a payment 7 days ago! Now I'm told to make another before they can think about waiving fees. My balance was just +$25, now it's (-$10). In a matter of 1 day. Spoke to the supervisor Hilton (HP1) in hopes he could do something and he reiterated the same canned response the girl earlier gave me so I asked to close my account. He said ok and did it without hesitation. Don't build your credit with them. Their service, business, and practices and grade LOW.
