  I ordered a home cleaning plus carpet cleaning service from Angie's List last week. When the service provider arrived, they told me that they could not clean my home because what I needed was a "move out" clean, not a "general" clean and that they don't own a carpet cleaning machine. Unfortunately, Angie's List had already charged me for this service. When I called customer service, they confirmed that they could not reimburse for me a couple of hours because that is their policy and gave me a second option to schedule another service, using my original payment as credit. I went ahead and scheduled the 2nd service. On the day the 2nd service was scheduled, the service provider kept changing the time and eventually cancelled for the day. They also asked me for extra funds (outside of Angie's List) to rent a carpet cleaning machine because they didn't own one. I then decided to give up and call Angie's List for a full refund and search for services elsewhere. Over a period of 3 hours, I was transferred to 7 customer service ********** last one I spoke with put me on hold for over 20 mins and at the end confirmed Angie's List never charged me and that they would not reimburse me, even though I had an email confirmation from them confirming the charges and also had my credit card statement which also confirmed charges. The rep even told me "stop talking" and "shut up" after he continued to falsely tell me they never charged me and that I wouldn't be getting reimbursed. I eventually had to call my credit company and file a fraudulent transaction claim. I will NEVER use this company again. Horrible service, awful internet platform for booking and managing bookings and the absolute worst and rudest customer service I have ever encountered in my life. This company is a SCAM.

  I have spoken numerous times to an Angielist representative about 3 reviews on my company that did not exist until February 2014. These reviews were posted in 2013 they are extremely hurtful and have ruined my reputation for 8 years. I have also struggled with my business, finding jobs, and my name. I have never registered my name or my company with *****. In 2013 ******************* ****** LLC was not even a company filed in ******. A person by the name of ***** made terrible accusations about me and I had to get the ******** Police involved. She was arrested for forgery, check fraud, and stolen identity. The other two reviews are false and come out of false content. I have asked to investigate these reviews and whoever registered me as a contractor using the name *******************.This company has done awful illegal actions against contractors and their employees. There are lawsuits and class action lawsuits among them. They have changed their name to *****. I will be taking legal action for the pain I have been going through financially, and emotionally.

  hi. i am the owner of js cleaning service. i started working and getting leads from home advisor which baught out angies list. the two companies were operating as separate. so as of september 1st. they had decided to change thangs without contacting me and letting me know. well then on september 9th i got charged ******. that was charged in 1 day. so i called customer service and went through a lot of people and they kept telling me different stuff. then the last person i talked to said that i was being charged for leads. i told her that i was overbooked and did not click on leads. she then told that i dont have to click on them. they are sending them to my phone and being charged anyway. i then told them to cancel it. so they did but want me to pay the balance or it was going to collections. . i was never notified of these changes and now they haves been calling me to see why i dont want to do service with them. i told them that i am overbooked and cant take on any more clients. they are the worst people.

  Hired this company for two different jobs. First job duct cleaning, first "pro" didn't finish the job because he said he didn't have the right equipment.Had another guy to come do the work. The second job was simple pipe plumbing and the first "pro" which turned into a disaster now I need a very expensive repair . Had to pay for that and for another ******* that came out to tell me the first pro ruined the pipe treads. Also they lie about not changing you until the work is completed They charge you right away . I think I'll stick to the real pros.

  I gave details of the job and a ladder required with pictures. The handyman had to reschedule (not a big deal) but he said he could not do the job I really wanted done because he did not have a ladder.I cancelled the work order which was already paid for. I called ***** and got *****. ***** said they could not refund my $752.49 because I did not cancel within 2 hours. I informed them he was a no show and did not have a ladder. Then they wanted to credit me money for another work order. After 30 min's of arguing they said they would credit my credit card. That was yesterday and they said it would take a few days. I hope this ends well. BBB as of Feb. 2022 has Revoked on ***** list. Not sure what this means but I will never use them again.

  I called to have a locksmith to come and unlock my Gun safe & they sent a handy man that knew nothing about safes~They charged me $29 for a membership fee and $162 for the locksmith service that I never received - Ill never call Angies list for anything they are a rip-off

  I would leave zero stars if that was an option. I contacted Home Advisor which is also Angis List about a couple of projects I needed completed at my home. Every time the day for my appointment came around they would reschedule or cancel. This happened 4 times. On Aug 2nd the Handy Man sent me a text that was very robotic and stated they were on my property. They were not. I was home and I also drove to my mailbox to find no one present. I stayed there for 25 minutes and attempted to call the individual. The call went to a recording that stated this is not a working number. The individual or machine responded with they are not moving from their location and they were advised to stay for half an hour to receive credit for being there. I called Home Advisor while sitting there and requested my account closed and my credit card removed from file because I was absolutely done with this company. After almost two months not one person showed up to my home to complete any projects. They assured me the account was cancelled and I hung up. On 13 August there was a pending transaction on my account for $151.79. I immediately called them and asked why this was there. I informed them that I had requested everything to be cancelled and deleted back on the 2nd. Their website will not let you remove your personal banking info. They again assured me the account was cancelled and the charge would not finalize. On 15 Aug the transaction posted for $151.79. I called them again today, 18 Aug and informed them of my past conversations and that nothing was completed on my property. They proceeded to tell me they could only refund 50% of my money. I responded with that is unacceptable because they were not given authorization to charge me and my account was already supposed to be cancelled. After 48 minutes I was hung up on. I proceeded to call again and warned that in the 3 to 5 days they claim it takes to refund my money, I would be contacting an attorney if it has not posted.

  This company advertises they have pros but that was misleading. On 8/13/22 I had a painting job booked from this company. They sent a young girl who knew nothing about painting. She left the job unfinished and two tones of color. Paint on ceiling, furniture, and carpet. She filled in holes on wall with paint. My carpet is completely destroyed and not fit to fix.
