I keep a credit card for in case of emergencies. This being a Capital one card, this morning I was offered a upgrade to QuickSilver Rewards Card. I accepted it, it says continue to use old card until I active the new card coming in the mail. So as luck would have it, emergency ***air! I try to order the parts online, a simple $860 purchase. However, Captial One's system updated my expiration date when accepting the new QuickSilver card this morning (even though it said to continue to use this card), this triggered their fraud system, my purchase was declined and i received a text right away from the fraud system stating I have to call... no system like everyone else in the world "***ly YES if this was you or NO if this was not you"... so i clicked and called the number. Their customer service after giving my full name, DOB, address, SSN, and verification notification from THEIR Capiral One app. told me to try again with them on the phone, so I did... declined and locked the account, now i have a broken camera on my iPhone and broken truck (hence the emergency parts) they want me to go out at 7pm to find somewhere to scan my license and email them a photo copy and wait up to 10 days to review it.... THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!! OVER 53 MINUTES ON THE PHONE!!! Then after that call with *** and manager, I tried to file a complaint online and they send you to the same number back to the same people I just talked to!!!!! I went and applied to another card company and got approved in mins and was able to make my purchase with that digital card...

Company is a joke, and run by people in a third world country and have no idea what to actually do. I had some guy in the phone claiming hes the highest in command in the company, his names **** #TTL252 saying that hes the highest in charge and hes been there since 2007, where? The Philippians call centre? I asked many times for him to put someone else on the phone that actually knows what they are doing. He said hes the only guy. Now Ive coded ebanks just the same as capital one. They are telling me because I sent $1500 to capital one which my balance was like 54$ and I was trying to send it to my real credit card and accidentally sent it to capital one that the return process takes a month. When I know for a fact it can be reversed within 15 minutes. What a joke of a company

I received an email 4 months ago letting me know that my Capital One credit card was going to be closed due to inactivity. While I planned to use it to avoid it being closed, I received 0 follow-up emails after this point - and the account was closed abruptly, 4 months later and without any warning.According to many reputable sites, Capital One sometimes will allow an account to be re-opened if it closed within the past 30 days. So I called Capital One (less than 10min after receiving the email saying my account was closed) and explained my situation. The first rep told me that he was unable to re-open it, so I asked to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor (Sunday, #WGP866) was very cold and not at all helpful. She told me that she could not re-open the account, and then went on to very rudely cut me off several times while I was trying to better understand the situation. She also told me things that were clearly untrue and, to me, seemed like she was just being flat out lazy. For instance, she told me that 1) she could not forward my call to anyone else, 2) she could not tell me what types of closures allow accounts to be re-opened, 3) she could not share the Capital One policy explaining account closures and re-opening, and 4) she could not send me an email summarizing what she told me, sharing the policy link, or providing any other info. She then very rudely hung up on me.If this is the kind of customer service ******************** provides, I will be sure to never open another account with them again. Discover has been far superior in every way - especially with their customer service.

It came time to pay my bill and my friend said he would do it so he paid my bill and a couple weeks later I get a call from Capital One stating they needed my bank statements from the bank I use and the bank he used. Now he is not available to give me that information he said weird I know but it is what it is he cannot give me the information so they froze my card but there is all about 80% of fraudulent charges on that Savor card. Capital One is a predatory company. They increase your limit without you knowing. Their customer service is aggressive and uses tactics to belittle you with every question you have. Their interest rates are astronomical and when you cant pay that, they add interest on top of interest. I do not trust this company. They should be investigated.

I have spoken to about 7 representative both over the phone and chats and they still have not resolved the issue I have been having. Since I changed my last name I am unable to access online banking and I keep getting the same message. I was told to wait 10 business days again and again after the last inquiry and problem still the same. They keep telling me on their end says successful login when I am telling them NOT on my end... like I want to waste my time talking to them. Very frustrating and some representative over the phone can be so rude as well.

Ive been a customer since 2019 and I made the mistake of trying to make a photo deposit. It tells you that it'll be available in two business days and when you hit confirm, nope! Try a week. No partial release of the funds either. Apparently I'm too poor to have access to my money or progressive auto insurance isn't a reputable enough company. I've called three different times and every time they basically say, oh well that *****. So now I get to pay off my credit cards with that money instead of what I wanted to do with it and find a new company to do business with. They could release the money, they just won't. Oh and they won't release it so I can cash it elsewhere either. S**** this company, it's garbage.

Capital One opened an account using my social security number without my consent or knowledge. Then they allowed fraudulent transactions to be made and didnt contact me concerning the account. So not only did I not know the account existed I didnt even know about any of the transactions. They also never sent me a card or anything. The only way I found out about this was through checking my credit report

This credit card is AwfuL!!!! I had a fraudulent charge made to my account and they let the charge to through. This month the same company (of whom I have had no contact charged another $2900. to my card. Now I'm disputing this again. Capital One does NOT take their customer's seriously. I'm afraid now I'm going to be out $2900. I locked my card and will be destroying the card after I receive the miles I have coming.

I have been a capital one customer since 2013, I paid off the entire balance for my new house and when I requested a payoff statement they told me to wait until next month but my closing date is on July 11. They kept arguing with me not giving me a chance to speak and even if paid the entire amount they cannot generate a statement They kept asking me to pay the rest if $50. Very bad experience from the customer service team when I have i have been a loyal customer for years and even after paying off the entire amount they are arguing with me.
