Capital one pulled my credit, lowered my credit score, took 1more than ******************************************* the phone with a representative at grocery store they restricted my card after $7 purchase! She couldnt figure it out left me on hold for 45mins then another fraud specialist comes to the line tells me its going to be 1-6business days and I need to send in my Drivers License and last 3 bank statements, so I did while on the phone! I had to put all my groceries back I was so embarrassed and my siblings got left hungry that night the worst feeling ever as provider to them! I was left in tears! I get a call today and they said I need a passaport and my 3 bank statements are not enough or I need a tx id like why if u have my drivers license!!! The supervisor and ***** both kept talking over me! Im over the humiliation that Capital one caused me in s*** a short period of time! The first ***** was on the line while I was making the purchases! It was $7 why would they restrict!? Now I have a credit card on my record and lowered my credit score and I cant even use it! Terrible experience Suspicious on their end! I DONT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL!

**************** needs to be reevaluated. I had been with this company for many years now. Lately their customer service representative and even higher *** are rude, they will do their best to not let you get a word in and also play with the words you say for their benefit. Also their application is not trust worthy when reflecting when payments are due. They will show days after the payments are due as past due with $40 fee charge. When you call they will say their IT team or system did not find an error on their end so still force you to pay the $40 even though it was their faulty application. I would not trust payment online or on their application. I would call them and make sure to get Representative name and a Reference # for the call.

Used Auto Pay for entire balance for Kohls, Capital One sets the payment date for processing but it takes a day or two to process through the bank so Capital One charges interest on the processing period. I called and tried to explain but they could not comprehend was I was inquiring about. Went back to manual pay so I could figured in the processing time so I don't get charged interest when the account is being paid in full. I'm not looking forward to Capital One taking over Discover.

I opened our account in March. Used the card for 3 months. They requested proof of business. I sent them the information they requested by mail, as they requested. Today, they shut my card off without notice. There apparently is nothing I can do about it even though we submitted the correct documents. They claim they never received them; gave us no notice or correspondence regarding these documents. They "suspended" our account without notice. If these documents were that important, why didn't they request them at the time we signed up for their card and services. Now we have reoccurring charges such as ********** and cannot use the card. I feel that this is false advertising, and they were not up front with their demands. You don't treat a business this way and leave them dead in the water. If this is standard operations, why wasn't this disclosed at the beginning. I cannot control the mail service; I would think they would have contacted us to see if we even received their correspondence, much less let us know if they did not receive an answer back. I feel like this is a scam by the credit card company to get you to sign up with them for a business and then they leave you high and dry. I called to get the credit card; I did not do it by internet. So, they had the opportunity for sure at that time to get the information that they needed. Kimberly or Fione from Capital One said they noticed they did not have that info and suspended our account. So they admitted they noticed the error on their end and turned off the account without notifiying us.

This is the 2nd time in 2 months that my money has been held up by Capital One. The first time was a business check written to my business account held up 7 whole days.
Now I ****** my personal account from my credit card union account on Friday and today, Monday, the money is still being held. Credit union says money was debited immediately on Friday. Receiving bank, Capital One is blaming *****. ***** says they no longer have the ability. It’s the receiving bank holding up the funds. In the mean time I have payments not being met due to my money being held up.

On 4/23/25, I prepaid $146.59 for a room at the ***** **** *** *** *****, with a check in date of 4/26/25 and check out date of 4/27/25. This charge was made with Capital One credit card, and can be verified via the account statement, and a screen shot of the prepayment was also provided to Capital One. On 4/26/25, *** ***** **** *** *** ***** double-charged me $213 for the aforementioned prepaid room at check in. I immediately requested a refund, and the front desk agent assured me that the full amount will be refunded within 5 business days. However, *** ***** **** *** only partially refunded the charge ($101.43) as of 6/29/25. I filed a dispute with Capital One, which was denied after a month of filing date. Capital One asked for more documentation, and I provided the aforementioned prepayment charges screen shot and the receipt for the 2nd charge at the check in. Capital One denied the claim again, citing the same reason of insufficient documentation (I provided all the requested documents, and they are unable to tell me what other documentation are needed). I filed a complaint with **** and ****. I hope Capital One gets their act together and refund the unethical and illegal charge. As a last resort, I will be filing in Small Claims Court if the ********* claims do not get this issue resolved.

***** has us pay them now. In April they switched over and I paid capital one $61.15. Sent to wrong address for capital one. They sent me another bill with interest and penalty, I sent back copy of check they had cashed and said I dont owe it. Now 2 months later they are trying to charge me $30 plus interns and then $30 plus penalty for the first $30 I didnt pay. Spent 45 minutes on the phone with them Going round and round. They said they would wave the $30 and so. Interest but I still owed the other $30. What? ??. I never had interest with ***** and paid bill on time in full every time. Great credit score. Theyre trying to s**** that up. They seem so dumb and oblivious to the ridiculousness of this scenario. Help

Capital one is not where you want to build your credit. No matter if you make a payment they will add fees like crazy making it impossible for you to catch up. They will add $40 late payment plus interest fees of $13 and this makes it very difficult to ever catch up. Everything you put in doesn't count towards your balance. At this point I'm not going to pay them and let it go to collections. They make it impossible. All my other bills and cards are paid up. I see that it's them and not me. Big mistake in accepting this card.

They charge $10 for using *****. ***** charge 3% fee because it's ***** who pays the person for a PRODUCT that was bought. That's predatory at best. Scummy practices at best.

my wife has her account hacked on *******. A woman named ******** ******* spent $629.94 on my wife’s debit card. Despite all the evidence of screenshots clearly proving it was not my wife , ********* ******* they did not credit her her own money back. When she kept trying to talk to someone she was being sent to people in ***** saying the reason why was because her card was on file on *******. This is downright disgusting as most people in the world have their cards on accounts such as ****** and ******* and etc.
Her and I both have been loyal customers for years but this has shaken us to the core and we are determined to spread the word of how she has been treated
