      I purchased a new car battery for my vehicle from Advance auto parts ,and I only had it for 6 months I have to keep getting it charge up . I went to two different auto mechanics,and they told me that I have a bad battery which I purchased from Advance auto parts ,and they won't honor my warranty which is for 3 years I also have my receipt for it. I'm very disappointed with this company .

      SWINDLERS! I do NOT recommend having a battery tested at Advance Auto. It doesn't matter if it is good or bad, they will slap a tester on it and say it's bad.
      I took a dead lawnmower battery that had been stored for 2 years in AA. I am an older widow. I explained that I did not have a way to charge it and asked if they could see if they could charge and test it. He said he could. I asked how long it would take b/c I did not live in town and it was a 20 mile drive for me. He said 30 minutes!
      I thought that sounded fishy but what do I know. Maybe they do have a way to charge a battery in a short amount of time.
      I also told the guy I did not want to have to buy a new battery since I was going to try and sell the lawn mower it was going in. I just needed to get the mower started to move it from where it was.
      He said, "I gotcha." He said that every time I said something to him.
      I went back in 30 minutes and he said it was no good.
      I had to drive back to town to buy a battery charger because the battery Advance Auto was quick to sell me, was dead too. BRAND NEW! I opted to go to a different auto part store b/c I really felt swindled by the young man at Advance Auto. I learned there that it would take much longer than 30 minutes to charge up a completely dead lawnmower battery. And they should be tested while charged for accuracy.
      Older people are victims of fraud thru emails and phone calls daily. There is no reason a parts store needs to prey on us to. I did contact the company on facebook and they said they was sorry and they would use my complaint for training purposes. People on social security can't afford to train their employees!
      I guess that sales rep meant it when he kept saying, "I gotcha."
      Shame on this company.

      We bought a Motor from Advance Auto and they will NOT stand behind the warranty the motor has 24,000 miles on it and antifreeze is in the oil the only way that happens it a bad motor and they want us to spend thousands of dollars for testing that has nothing to do with the problem the motor has we gave $3500.00 for the motor and they want us to spend that and much and more and still not guarantee another motor or money back so they STOLD our money

      I went to Advanced Auto at **** ******** **** ** ********* ** to have a newer battery tested & was told it was no good. It is a new battery that was just purchased the week before. I took the battery to **** and they tested it and said it was good with no problems . I suspect that advanced auto was dishonest and just wanted to sell a battery . I suspect that **** ****  did the same thing and I may test them the same way for their honesty . Thank you .

      Good Afternoon,
      I purchased an alternator from the store in ***** ***. I needed to replace the alternator and was unable to retrieve the receipt on the lifetime warranty, when I went to store the cashier mentioned the computer was not working and he cannot locate the information. He said he needed a barcode or serial number so u have to pull it off to read it :( These are hard times so I need to have it pulled off to show someone. Not sure what I can do at this time.

      I was scammed by the boys working the counter at Advanced Auto Parts. I asked for lowbeams for my 2007 Kia Optima, and the guy behind the counter looked up the part on his computer, and then sold me the wrong type of lowbeam. I was in a hurry and needed one, but he claimed that he only had a two pack so I spent $44 on what should have been a $12 dollar sale for one bulb. I had also asked him to please help me install the light which they seem to do for every other customer and he said it was against company policy. This was false because the first and second time I went back to exchange the bulb, they were changing other customers parts out in the parking lot. I spent hours trying to figure out how to install the bulb because there is a little lever that I didn't find and when I finally went to switch it out, I noticed that there was no possible way this was going to be the right bulb. I tried to return it twice, the second time a woman who was supposedly management told me it was my fault for not knowing what beam I needed (which I did know so I told her that), then said they can't be responsible for my mistakes, and again, I explained that I was literally sold the wrong part -- then she asked for a receipt which I had, but she immediately said no, we don't exchange electronics. Fortunately, I videotaped the exchange and the audio, because I anticipated this would happen again. So I have to go back for the fourth time because I suspect the "store manager" will be there and I may have a chance to explain this again. But I am small, I was bullied, and I was humiliated and ripped off and since I am a tutor and freelancer and musician, I can't afford to be totally ripped off by someone who does not know how to do his job. This has been the worst customer service I have ever received and I'm astonished and upset they are getting away with this.

      5 alternators in 2 years. Two of them lasted less than a day. They have, as they should, honored the warranty and replaced them. But I had to purchase the replacement and then they refunded it when i returned the faulty one. They won’t give me a refund if I just return the faulty one, just exchange it for another faulty one! What they seem to disregard is the cost ($120 each time) to have it installed and the inconvenience of being without your vehicle. It’s like the same bad experience repeating itself with no solution, just a temporary fix. And when I asked for the number to Cust Serv., they said they didn’t know the number. Very frustrated!

      Today, Very Little, is what I think!
      I go in ask for some sort of leather repair, for my Silverado seats.
      " We don't have anything like that".
      So I ask where are your glue's or epoxy.
      "On 6"
      So I go to Isle 6, sure enough JB Weld Leather/ Vinyl repair... WTF!
      So I went across the street to "**********"!
      Your people are either poorly educated as to what you offer, lazy, ********* or this is store or even company procedure...

      This is not about the store itself, rather their online site. I ordered a part online. Paid extra for 1-2 day shipping. My part will not be delivered for 5 days. I chatted online with 3 people. As soon as I said, "I want a refund for shipping." the chat magically ended due to connection each time. I finally got a phone number and talked to a live person and they told me, "It's 1-2 business days." Is says nowhere on there sight about business days. Then they told me, "The best we can do is offer a $20 coupon." The shipping was more than $20. Don't waste your time or money with them. Poor customer service, deceitful web site, and like I said, "They rob you!"
