The Wave is the worst cable service in 40 years. **************** is answered by non-knowledgeable people. Service is down 75% of the time. Cable channels are repeats every week. Astound drops popular channels, and inputs cowboy movies that we do not care for without informing the customer. Living in a rented apartment is ****, since we do not have a choice for other companies. The **************** is slow 90% of the time.This company is not going to give the consumer good service and good basic TV as long as they can get away with it. Did you know that you could go over on your data/internet and that Wave/Astound cannot even tell you how you went over? I was baffled too when I received a $90 overage charge. There is nothing in the bill describing what could have led to this. The customer service rep was incredibly rude and unhelpful and wanted to simply charge me more for "unlimited" internet. My internet habits have not changed, in fact they have decreased as I have been on a work sabbatical. There is nothing that they can do to reverse the charges, they cannot help me find where the charges are coming from (as in, what device is magically making me go over my internet bill) as they do not track that so they cannot show me any actual proof that this charge is legitimate. I asked multiple times who I could speak to to help me resolve this issue and I was met with "this is how your power bill works" or "this is how cell phones used to work" or "no one can help you with that". This is absolutely absurd and I think should be considered illegal to charge people for charges that they cannot even prove you used. They also do not say ANYWHERE on their bill how much data you are buying per month nor do they warn you when you are closing to using that data.Astound Broadband powered by Wave

Needs to be sued and shut down. They're actively scamming hundreds of customers throughout *******, and *********. They claim to give us 100 mbps but in actuality we get 20 mbps. That's even IF it's up. They claim we are the problem when quite a few of other users have gotten new equipment. They want you to buy their stuff, but for what? The same service? We need to be reimbursed for the garbage that is "Astound."Astound Broadband powered by Wave

Wave Cable, now not so Astounding, has a predatory billing process. They only set up deals for 6 months then they automatically increase the bill to a more expensive plan of their choice when the deal runs out. My bill went from 56 dollars a month up to 115. They add undefined "one time charges" sometimes doubling the bill with no explanation of what the charge is for. You can't lock into any deal with a predictable monthly fee. They just change the bill whenever they feel like it. I live in a small community so they almost have a monopoly here. I will drop them as soon as there is a viable competitor. The only company more predatory is ******** Why is there no legislation to reign in these predatory Internet providers?Astound Broadband powered by Wave

After moving cities I called ahead of time to set a service stop date of August 10th. I also received a return label and packaged and sent both my router and my modem that same day. On August 17th I received my first notice that I had unreturned equipment on my account. When I called to investigate, I was told that they had received two items but were missing a third item. I suspect that the third item was a defective modem that was removed from my apartment by an Astound technician during a repair (after it started smoking and burnt a **** into my countertop which I lost my deposit for). I was told that the case would be escalated for investigation.After receiving more notices for unreturned equipment and being billed for them, I called again. This time I was told that there was no evidence of any equipment being returned at all. This puzzled me since the last representative I spoke to told me that they had received a package from my return label. Again, I was told that Astound would escalate the issue and I would receive a call back in 5-7 business days.I never received a call back either time and I continue to be frustrated with sorting out this issue. I have also been billed for multiple months after my stop service date, adding another layer of frustration. Between the months I was billed after service was stopped, and the amount I was billed for my returned equipment, I am out hundreds of dollars.Avoid this predatory company at all costs.Astound Broadband powered by Wave

I am showing all equipment charges were removed as shown returned your former account has a zero balance. This process can take up to 30 days in some cases after service disconnection. I also show your billing stop date was 8/10/22. We did not charge you for services after that date. I also show a refund processed back to your card we had on file as of 10/4/22. I received a flyer in the mail offering 49.64/mo for 1 year of 940mbps and basic (41 channels) plus Showtime and The Movie Channel free for 12 months increased to **** for the next year then full price (*****) Also Free month and install Free modem and wifi Free set top box $200 **** gift card after 90 days good standing. So I called, the guy was confused about the promo. But by the end of the call confirmed I would receive everything on the flyer. They installed and then it was this run around trying to get Showtime and TMC. Told me to log in to my account, had to call 3 times trying to make that work. (They gave me wrong info 3 different times, 3 different ways) Its been 2 weeks, (almost) and still no help. I spoke with someone today for 30 min, she tells me the offer was internet based, that I had to sign up online, not over the phone. Nowhere does it say this. She offered to give me Showtime and TMC for **** or that I could cancel, wait 6 months, and try signing up online. What the heck? Award winning customer service? They are liars that trick you into signing up. You cant even see the services online when you log in, or modify them. You have to call and be on the phone for too long. Im going to cancel this service because I cant tolerate their incompetence and wicked schemes. I only gave it 2 stars because the internet works as expected. A scheduled credit will be applied to your billing each month to offset the charged amount that will appear on your statement for the channel subscriptions. With regards to your Gift Card. This was added to your account correctly from inception. Once you pass all the required criteria after 90 days, our Gift Card Vendor ***** will email you details and instructions on how to claim your gift card. This company ran a cable through my yard months ago and has yet to bury it. Ive now called customer service three times, only to end with hearing a ticket will be submitted to service and It will take 5 to 7 days to respond. Im yet to ever get a response. *** spent several hours on the phone and in chat there must be next to no staff handling inquiries. My next step will be to take this up with the city public works department. Im not a customer, dont plan to be and would advise others against it. I suspect the company will leave a response hear telling me to call in to have this resolved, which Im not doing a fourth time.Astound Broadband powered by Wave

**************** has been abysmal for 4 months straight now, since they took over for RCN. Constantly on/off, and when it is on, it struggles to even stream in 4k or stay connected to the online game I'm playing, which I used to do last year with no issues. As far as I'm concerned, Astound owes me for PS+, ******** Appletv, Apple music, etc. subscriptions that I haven't had ************* to for months. I hope they get hit with a class action for this!!! They are a bunch of LIARS. I called to dispute a bill that went from ***** (when I was with WOW) to the latest bill after the bought out WOW, *****. The first person I spoke with from Astound said she would get the bill back to *****. After waiting for their site to make the changes and it did not, I called and had to speak/be on hold for about 2 hours, only to find out that they will not honor the first person's request and after doing "everything they could try" and that they "understood my frustrations," the retention specialist said he could lower the bill to ***** + fees/taxes (I have my own modem!). I asked how long until I see the changes? He said a few minutes. I check back to my account about 24 hours later - ***** - what a bunch of LIARS.Astound Broadband powered by Wave

I live in an apartment complex, and Wave gets to monopolize the internet access. As tenants, we are not allowed to get other internet connections with **************** Xfinity, etc. We are also not allowed to participate in low income discounts on internet, which is ironic because the connections are spotty at best. My landlord gets to spy on my internet activity to boot. I don't wish to support this behavior.Astound Broadband powered by Wave

Case in point, the internet connection has my laptop and my phone blocked for some reason. This happens often. I have no other recourse. I cannot get another internet service. It is not allowed. So I am unable to get work from home where a direct Ethernet connection is required, and I can't have reliable internet for any other source of income from home. I thought monopolies were technically illegal. It's not just bad service, I feel that I am being discriminated against. The password hasn't changed for anyone else.
