1 starTELEPHONE UPGRADE PROMOTION FRAUD! I got an email promotion on Feb. 2022 to upgrade my iPhone XR to an iPhone 13 Pro for $6.67 a month in exchange for my perfectly working iPhone XR. I accepted the offer online and got my current phone by mail. I tried to return my iPhone XR to the Sprint store close to my home to make sure they could inspect my phone and confirm it was in good condition. They did but told me I needed to return it by mail and helped me to pack it in the return box. I called Sprint or ********* whatever it is now, a week later, and they told me my phone was received in good condition. The next thing I see in the app is that the promotion hasnt been honored, and the leasing charge for the phone is $33.34 instead of $6.67. I called ******** and was sent to Sprint and the rep investigated the situation, and he told me it was corrected. Then, I got a text alert that someone was trying to use my Apple ID, I called ********************** again, and the rep assured me everything was fine. A few days later, I got a new text message saying my phone was reported damaged. I called one more time and they assured me everything was okay and to ignore the text messages; the promotion was in my account. Five months later, the promotion is removed from the account again. I called AGAIN, and after more than an hour and a half on the phone with **** and asking her about 20 times to pass me the manager, she told me that they need ten days to do a device promotion review. Finally, after insisting on talking to the manager, I passed to ****, who repeated the same story and could not resolve the situation immediately or provided me with an email to Spring/******** Headquarters to put a formal complaint. The situation hasnt been resolved and I am tired of wasting my time.Review fromJaphet R

1 starIm tired of everything they are doing. I have 3 active lines. I used to have 4 but I had them cancel the 3rd line. Originally, the associate in the store (which has since been closed) offered me a free 3rd line and I never had a phone associated with that line. One day I called to have them use that credit on a line which has an active phone which I own and I was told that wasnt possible. That same store promised me a buy-one-get-one half off price on a pair of high priced speakers. The credit was never applied to my account. I had paid the entirety of the contract, essentially, before I was able to have them retroactively credit my account for the price I had been promised. I also traded in an iPhone 8 and was promised a credit for a new phone, essentially crediting my account for the remainder of the contract, and that never happened because they deemed the phone damaged at the warehouse. I sent a perfectly good phone. It was worth $200+ at the time and now I have NOTHING to show for it. Im so fed up with this company and I could not be less satisfied with their customer experience. Do NOT but a ******** or Metro PCS or any other carrier associated with this corporation. They will not do anything but take your money and try to explain away why they cant help you when they cant fulfill their end of a promotional promise.Review fromLisa A

1 starI have a free state assurance wireless phone. This is a replacement for a piece of c*** phone they gave me earlier. I can't get on the internet even though I have data. It has not worked since I received the phone. I call them and go through 4 different phone calls to get a replacement and they finally tell me it's on the way and it will be here in 3 to 5 business days...2 weeks later I get a box with just an envelope in it to send this phone back. I call them and tell them I received a box with an envelope but no phone and after I go through all the hoops they say okay and they are sending out the phone now. Of course I never get the phone so I call and now they are telling me I have to buy a phone. After having me wait all this time and telling me twice the phone was on the way. First of all this is the state's free phone and I'm on disability and I can't afford to buy a $800 phone. Somehow this seems like a scam to make you buy phones. Why did they tell me twice they were sending me a phone and make me waste all that time!Review fromCarl F

1 starIt's difficult to relay in **** words the frustration that has absorbed the past 5 months of my life. Our situation started in March when we were informed that we would have to upgrade from our 3g phones. Originally, the offers were fantastic: two new phones, our current rate, a forever-free-no-questions-asked third line (for whatever reason). We signed up and placed our order and within hours it was cancelled. When we called back the next day, they said that we had "tripped" some fraud safety protocol and that we needed to "talk to the fraud department" (which is not open on the weekends). After some conversations with other operators (not from the fraud ***** Actually, I'm not convinced there is such a department), they cleared this block, but then it happened THREE MORE TIMES. Meanwhile, our service is being shut off and on. Finally, by April (about 18 hours into conversations with operators) I had had enough. I wanted them to discontinue our service but THEY WOULDN'T DO IT. There was no way to prove that i was me so I said I would simply stop paying my ****. Finally, by June our 3g phones no longer worked and they happily shut off my service, sticking me with a 500 dollar **** for the two months after April and the unused "forever-free" line which somebody forgot to make "forever free". We never received the hardware, yet we still got charged for the services. Appalling. I created a complaint with their billing **** and though they eventually cut some of the ****, they never contacted me again about the remainder until they day I got notification that it was headed to collections. All in all, I wasted 23 hours of my life, dealing with these people who were unable or unwilling to furnish the most basic of customer service. I had been a loyal ****************** customer for over ****************************************************** their thrall for so long. But if ******** is trying to ruin the Sprint brand, they are doing a fantastic job.Review fromjoe p

1 starFour months ago appx my paraplegic husband got one of these phones. He transferred his contacts. Suddenly he started getting spam calls. He stopped using the phone because so many calls are for another party. Apparently USED phones are the free phones. Two ladies tried to hardsell me an "upgrade" and stated clearly that the other phones could NOT have been from Assurance because they only provide "NEW" phones.I searched my photo history AND SHOWED THEM THE BADGES OF THE TWO LADIES FROM ASSURANCE THAT PROVIDED THE OLD PHONES. When I told them my husband must wheel his chair to answer phones they chuckled and said that must be OUR PROBLEM.All the hard sell and they blamed us for the crappy phones. Then they used the "I'm just gonna walk away" strategy to end the conversation.I am copying this complaint and getting a copy to everyone in the neighborhood. These people are liars and taking advantage of poor gullible people.Review fromTahisha H.

1 starI just signed another person onto my account. I bought them a new phone. It took 4 days to get there phone number transfered to the new phone. Once transferred, I realized they didn't include a charger with the phone. I had to make an additional purchase of a charger so the new phone would work. That's right, they sold me a phone with no way to turn it on and use it.Review fromGerri J

1 starThey make free offers and then they charge you. I was offered a free IPAD and got charged for it then I was offered a free phone and they charged me for that too. They are good at bait and switch. You cannot trust them when they say it is free and you wont be charged. I am almost ***** in the hole for these free items. Be caareful.
